Rent safe and private dog hiking trails hosted by locals in Capon Bridge, West Virginia

Welcome to Greek Lake Acres! We are located in Stephens City and we have 23 acres in total. About 5 acres are open grassy fields with an acre sized pond for swimming in the middle, surrounded by woods, complete with a few trails. WEATHER ADVISORY: with the draught, swimming is discouraged however it is still AT YOUR OWN RISk. The pond is NOT filtered. We do have a fountain that aerates it but it is still NATURAL SPRING FED BODY OF WATER with no chemicals added to it. With the lack of rain, we would greatly discourage any swimming at this time as we want to ensure health for your fur babies. We have never had an animal get sick from our land or water but always want to err on the side of caution. Feel free to message me after booking for directions- GPS can sometimes try to take you through Lake Fredrick and you can NOT get to us from there. (Google GPS works best to find us) The lake is "swim at your own risk" as we do not have a life guard on duty. The water edge slopes so you can come out with ease. There is NO FISHING permitted in the pond. Again, there is no lifeguard on duty, dogs swim at the responsibility/risk of their owner. Picnic tables are available near the waters edge and also in the trees next to the pond for shade. On the picnic table we have some floating toys for retrieving and also some sanitary bags if you need any. We are pesticide and fertilizer free, so please make sure you have tick/flea preventative because ticks love the woods! We are not fenced in, so recall is very important. The neighbors do have dogs, some wander so friendliness is important. We have chickens who live in their coop, who will remain safe in their coop during your visit. The property does have an abundance of wild life, including but not limited to deer, turkey, geese, ducks, squirrels and fox, but they do not stay around humans or dogs. Parking is on the lake side driveway near the green sign (see photos) Please note we are often outside enjoying our property as well. If you look at the photos, we typically stay in the “red X” area. If we have guests, our dogs are secured in the house. We can’t wait to see you! This field was once used for pony cart races. As such, there is .3 mile grass track for walking laps. There terrain in the center of the field is bowl shaped because it used to be an artificial lake. A beautiful creek borders the edge of the field. The depth varies, but most areas are only 1-4 feet deep. A lightly wooded area borders the opposite end from the entrance. Tucked away in the back corner is a little island accessible by a fallen tree.

At least 5 acres, big back yard with grass, wooded area with hiking trails, very private off road property. 4wd recommended.

Come for our glorious sunrises on the creek and sunsets in the fields or just to enjoy the day exploring the fields and creek. The dog area starts past the broken black fence behind the house and goes down through the fields and into the woods. I would appreciate it if you would kindly please keep the dogs leashes and wait until you are past the broken fence to allow your dog to do any business. To get to the creek, go past the broken fence and keep going down the hill to the back tree line. I have included a map in the pictures. And then just keep walking; it’s about five minutes from the house to the trailhead. We have set out fluorescent yellow markers on the trees on the back tree line as you approach the trail. We also put up a blue sign that says “To The Creek” at the trail head. Once in the woods, walk down the steep hill and take the trail to the right at the bottom of the hill, before the little ravine. That trail will take you out to a spot where your dog can splash around and I’ve cut a few trails to explore back there. If you go to the red barn, you’ve gone too far. The trail is right at the base of the hill. We are looking forward to having you and please reach out if you need anything special or want to chat before coming.

20 acres of fenced and partially fenced, lots of wooded areas, 2 creeks, explore from ridge to ridge and to the back year round creek. Not too big or deep, but a nice place to cool off and wade around after a great walk. Lots of wildlife to possibly see, an old barn and a lean too full of smells. There's an old road the length of the property and a meadowed valley as well. Wifi and we'll water available.

5 acre property to run and let the zoomies out!! Lots of stuff for the doggies to explore!!

Large Farm with creeks and streams. Lots of room to run and explore. Owner must be able to control their dogs. There are cattle located on farm. Lots of hiking areas. Access to house with bathroom, drinks and front porch sitting and a pavilion.

We are located on 36 acres. About 5 acres are open space and there is a section that is fenced for pets to run free and play safely. Rest is woods with trails.
