The Doggy Dome

Fully Fenced
15 acres

We live on 15 acres, and now have 1.5 acres fully fenced! It is all very flat land making for an easy stroll with your dogs. We are boarded on two edges by farm fields and two edges by neighbors. There is a trail that circles the property, with plenty of space to explore. During the summer, please take advantage of the small kiddie pool. There are also toys and chairs in the fenced area for all guests. Some seasonal things to keep in mind: Spring/fall when we have heavy rain, some areas could have standing water and/or be muddy. Mid to late summer, there are fox tails (cheat grass) that can cling to your dogs. Winter, the trails might not be plowed. There will be a 5gal bucket in the wood shed (inside the fenced area) full of water you can use to refill the two water bowls. Keep an eye out for trip hazards! Logs, sticks, uneven ground and holes.

Ray's Private Dog Park In Edwall

Partially Fenced
50 acres

The 50 acres is mostly timber, with a 7 acre pond that has water in it most of the year. It will dry up on really hot years. I do have chickens and pack goats by the house. But they are inside mesh fencing, so your dogs won’t be able to get to them. The 50 acres is completely fenced with a 3 to 5 strand Barbwire fence. It’s in good shape. It is also the property boundary. So as long as you stay inside of the fence, you will be on the property. There are not a lot of neighbors but the ones I have are nice. When you come up the driveway, you can pass the house and drive up on the hill and Park at the conex container. There is lots of wildlife on the property, and I highly recommend that your dog has some sort of tick repellent, we do have ticks in the spring time. The upper part of the driveway is not graveled, so if there’s melting snow, or a lot of ran, it can get muddy. So be prepared for that. I hope you enjoy the property as much as we do. ***ALL PRICES LISTED ARE IN USD***

SniffSpot prevents active links grab a screenshot and send the shot to ChatGPT or any AI app, it will make the link active: https://www.google.com/maps/d/embed?mid=1Qt7TZuAU0Ch4aBdz2ye2zUUNCOvWnRk&ehbc=2E312F The link is a map of the 20 acres with trails, bird watching sites, wildlife sightings, and ponds. Trust the journey. Let your pup run wild (off-leash) through tall, waving grass, explore trails, or dive into the ponds (Gaia gives it five wet tail wags). This is a natural playground, not a manicured park, where paws get muddy and noses stay busy. My dog Gaia might greet you, she’s friendly, gentle, and loves having company. If your pup prefers solo adventures, just let me know. Your presence and financial support go 100% to dogs in need. Nurses: Please pick flowers. They are for you.

55This place is doggie HEAVEN, my pups had a blast! Every part of the property was cleaned and you can see how much thought was put in by the hosts. Each area is an adventure, my pups didn’t know which area to sniff first! The trails are very easy to access and navigate, the signs made it so much easier to know which way you’re going. They also provided toys, insect repellent, chairs, etc. Me and my pups will definitely come back!!!

55Always a great trip out there, it was my new pups 1st outing in the great outdoors and this was the perfect place for him to enjoy. I will note there is a new baby sheep? Possibly that is on the neighboring property and that was bahhing at us when we were there which startled my pup a bit lol but just FYI if you have live stalk reactive dogs. I believe the animal was fenced away from the spot but just a heads up. I just avoided walking that trail mostly. Thanks again for hosting another great visit!!!!

55The pictures and description match the location. We had a great time. There was a some mud, which was 100% expected considering recent weather. It was great that they have a towel available to help clean paws before they get back in the car. 🐾

55Great spot - our pup was all tuckered out in 45 minutes. After the rains it was a little muddy but nothing our boots couldn't handle. Erin even had a fire going in the pit for us to warm our hands afterwards, not to mention water for the dogs, poop bags, a lost and found, towels, and chairs. The instructions were spot on. Would definitely recommend and come back again! Thanks for hosting such a great spot!

Frequently asked questions about Clayton dog hiking trails

What types of dog hiking trails are available in Clayton?

Clayton has 10 dog hiking trails offers wooded trails, open meadows, and varied natural terrain. Whether you need a fully-fenced space for poor recall, a quiet location for a reactive dog, appropriate sizing for small breeds, gentle terrain for seniors, or specific amenities like water features or agility equipment, you'll find options in Clayton. Filter by fencing, size, distractions, and amenities to match your needs.

When can I book dog hiking trails in Clayton?

Clayton dog hiking trails are available based on host scheduling—many operate dawn to dusk or even 24/7. Unlike public dog parks with rigid hours, you choose the exact time that works for you. Check individual Clayton listings for specific availability. Flexible scheduling is especially helpful for dogs with specific needs: reactive dogs who do better during quieter times, working dog owners needing early/late slots, or seniors needing cooler morning hours.

How do I book a dog hiking trail in Clayton?

Browse 10 available dog hiking trails in Clayton, select your preferred date and time, and reserve through Sniffspot. Most Clayton locations offer instant booking. You'll receive confirmation, exact address, and entry instructions. The booking process takes just minutes—perfect when your dog needs exercise, whether that's a reactive dog requiring safe space, a puppy needing socialization, or an energetic dog burning off steam.

What's the most popular dog hiking trail in Clayton?

The Doggy Dome is highly rated among Clayton dog hiking trails, known for excellent amenities and positive reviews. However, the "best" spot depends on your dog's needs—reactive dogs might prioritize privacy and quiet, puppies might need secure fencing, seniors might want flat terrain, while active dogs might want maximum running space. Browse Clayton listings to find your ideal match.

Can I use Clayton dog hiking trails for training sessions?

Yes! Clayton dog hiking trails are perfect for training because they're private and distraction-free. Work on recall, practice trail recall in natural environments, leash manners on varied terrain, or hiking endurance building, help reactive dogs build confidence, socialize puppies, or work on obedience—all without public dog park unpredictability. Many Clayton professional trainers use these spaces for client sessions with all types of dogs.

Do Clayton dog hiking trails accommodate multiple dogs?

Most Clayton dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings for specifics). If you have several dogs—especially if some are reactive toward strange dogs or if you have mixed ages (puppies and seniors)—private dog hiking trails let them play together safely without outside interference or triggers.

What amenities do Clayton dog hiking trails offer?

Clayton dog hiking trails feature amenities like marked trail paths through natural terrain, open meadow areas for off-leash play, and shaded rest spots along the route. Many hosts provide extras: poop bags, water stations, toys, shaded seating, parking, even dog wash stations. Each Clayton listing clearly shows what's available. Look for amenities matching your dog's needs: shade for heat-sensitive breeds, water for swimmers, agility for active dogs, or privacy features for anxious pets.

Are Clayton dog hiking trails available year-round?

Many Clayton hosts maintain their dog hiking trails throughout all seasons. Filter for covered or climate-controlled options if weather matters. Indoor dog hiking trails provide year-round access regardless of Clayton weather conditions. Check individual listings for seasonal availability and policies.
