55Nice open area to walk and play fetch. Lots of trees for shade. My dog and I both had a great time. The road in is a bit rough so take it slow.Kim B.

55It was so nice! It was pretty easy to find, apple maps took us straight to the entrance and the parking! The pups absolutely loved it! They got to run around on the trails and we walked down to the river where they swam for an hour!! We brought some towels and snacks and set up a little picnic while the dogs sniffed and played, we will definitely be coming back!!! I will say pack light if you’re planning on going to the river, it wasn’t that bad of a walk I would just bring less stuff next time:)Grace H.

55So, as others have said, the road is a bit rough and I wasn't quite sure I was in the right place. That being said, the trail was obvious and even marked with blue tape flags, so it was very easy to know where to go. We didn't run into anyone else during our time there, which was good because I have a reactive dog. Spent some time by the river. I will definitely book a longer time slot next time!Elizabeth F.

55Beautiful location! The dirt road is bumpy and must be driven slowly but the spot is clearly marked. It's a moderately difficult trail in some spots but it's clearly marked and there's easy access to the lake. My dog loved it and we extended our visit to 3 hours.Chelsea B.

55We were a bit late (Google lied to us haha) and there was someone with a horse in between the parking spot. She moved out of the way so we could get through so it was totally fine, but it seemed worth knowing it could happen. Our dogs are definitely not a fan of horses but once we got to the trails they stopped caring quickly Laura Z.

55Perfect place for my energetic Staffie. Tricky spot for parking when muddy. Wear waterproof boots as you'll have to walk through standing water after a rain, but it's not really that muddy. Lots of inclines, some quite steep. Lots of trails from other properties but they are well marked with no trespassing signs. Maggie S.

55Fun place but wear boots as it gets muddy, as others commented. I am directionally challenged so had a hard time finding the mailbox and trail at first (maybe bigger Sniffspot sign - it's wet and falling apart). Dogs had fun, but can get lost if you have an adventurer like me who likes to run ahead. Will come back!Youngji H.

55Lots of woodsy trails and a lot is uphill to start. It was great for us but be prepared for a little workout for yourself too! There's lots of natural break points though and the trails are very nicely maintained and labeled. The meadow from the parking spot to the trails is very wet right now so definitely bring your waterproof boots. We could hear a dog barking far in the distance, just a few times, but no where possible to see them and I was able to call both my reactive buggers away without incident. I would absolutely return here. Also, I'd highly recommend booking at least 90 minutes so you can take your time Laura Z.

55This is my third visit to this Sniffspot, one of my favorites. I've already reviewed the spot; I just wanted to mention today that you might want to wear rubber boots if you visit when it's raining hard. The water was pooling near the footbridge and in a few spots along the trail. Aside from that, the trails are in good shape and not too muddy.Sara E.

55Loved this spot and I plan to come back again! Loved the trails and my dogs ran and ran and ran some more! They were in heaven. Even though it was pouring down rain during my visit, I didn't feel that it was too muddy; the coating of leaves and straw on the trails helped that a lot. My dogs give it a 4 paws up!Corey T.

55This is by far one of my favorite sniff spots! Scout and I had a blast. It's clean, quiet, well marked and the trials are so much fun. I can't wait to see it in the winter, spring, summer and the fall before the leaves all hit the ground. Simply beautiful ❤️Kara W.

55Well maintained and marked trails. Safety is a huge factor when I am considering spots and although this spot was unfenced, we did not see or hear any other people or dogs. I would definitely recommend booking more than one hour to be able to fully enjoy all of the trails this spot has to offer! Laura C.

55Beautiful spot, and especially scenic with the fall leaves. It’s a real “choose your own adventure” with trails that weave and split along the way. Parking spot is marked with a Sniffspot sign, and wooden signs with song lyrics can potentially serve as trail markers if you need them. Dog was in heaven (until I had to carry him back to the car). 55What a great spot! Wide open space for my pup to run, a stream for him to play in and great trails to explore. I felt very safe going there just my pup and I. We would definitely love to come back! Kylie W.

55Brought my Great Pyrenees here who is dog aggressive and has never been able to go to a park off leash. I have never seen him so happy! It was such a special experience and gorgeous on a foggy October morning. We’ll be back!Gabi G.

55Pretty forest with some steep trails. Our foster pup had a great time sniffing for critters. Some of the newer roads through the property are bare dirt, so they will be muddy come rainy season, but perhaps there are plans to put down gravel. Didn't see or hear any other dogs. There are horses on neighboring properties you might see when parking, but they are pretty far away. Allegra A.

55This is a wonderful Sniffspot! It was easy to find and had excellent signage, so we always knew where to walk and where the property boundaries were. We had a lot of fun exploring all of the beautiful trails and running around in the meadow. I couldn't recommend this spot more. Sara E.

Will I encounter other dogs at Ford dog hiking trails?
Not a chance. Ford dog hiking trails operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Look for "Top Spots" like Ford's The Doggy Dome with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Ford owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.
What are Ford's dog hiking trail requirements?
All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Ford host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog hiking trails welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
