55I was a bit nervous being my first time using Sniffspot and having an escape artist with no recall. Happy is my most recent foster fail who loves frolicking and chasing critters. Shes a staffy mix so a sillly girl with a crazy prey drive. This is the perfect spot for her to burn off energy and practice training. It’s an absolutely magical property with lots of lawn space, a small pond, and even a trail through the woods. We will definitely be back! Anna G.

55We had such an incredible experience at Charlotte’s Run as an early birthday present for my boy, Orville!! 🥰
I loved how communicative Elli was throughout the entire booking process, complete with photos and helpful tips, all the way up to a few minutes before we headed to the Sniffspot. Her space is just magical! I especially loved the paved trail along the pond, surrounded by wildflowers and cattails and full of butterflies.
I think my favorite part of this Sniffspot was the forest deck, complete with sheer curtains, a place for dogs to lay, and a spot for humans to sit with citronella incense and a candle. The marked paved trails through the forest were also really nice to walk and explore. My boy gets hot easily, so we spent a lot of our time in the quiet woods, which was perfect for him. He’s not brave enough to jump fully into the pond, but having access to the hose at the foot of the house was a really nice touch!
This was an especially meaningful outing because my boy tends to be reactive toward unknown people, dogs, and objects. It really meant a lot that we encountered no one and no other animals during our visit, allowing him to have a completely trigger-free and peaceful experience outdoors. As a mom to a reactive dog, I usually brace myself for some type of unknown being or situation, so the fact that Elli’s word stood and we truly had no contact was amazing. It made such a difference in allowing us to relax and enjoy the space together.
I also really love the work that this rescue, Mr. Bones & Co., does, and I’ve been following their long-stay foster, Sky’s, journey. I’m so grateful to know that this resource is so close to home. We were lucky enough to find an opening the day before Orville’s birthday, since they were booked for the rest of the week. We definitely plan on returning with the full pack whenever there’s availability, and I’ve already recommended this Sniffspot to friends of ours who have two medium-sized dogs who are also sensitive to unknown people, animals, and other triggers.
The only feedback I would give is for the alternative entrance fence to be more secure. There were guests staying in their cottage, so I'm not sure how the usual fence on that side is, but the one we used to enter was fastened using a bungee cord. It was fine for us, but I wonder how that could be a potential challenge for other dogs. There was also a water bowl and a broken pool left behind in the outdoor seating area of the barn, which I’m sure may not have been reflective of Elli or the space itself and could have been left by the booking before us.
I also noticed the really cool exercise circuit with hoops and poles in the main field, which I could see dogs having a lot of fun with! Orville got hot a little sooner than anticipated, so we ended up leaving a bit early, but that just gives us another reason to come back soon!!
Thank you, Elli, for opening up this amazing space for dogs to enjoy at their own pace and leisure. I really appreciate that this was my first Sniffspot experience and that everything was so smooth, welcoming, and peaceful. It was such a special outing for my boy, and I’m already looking forward to returning!! ❤️Jennifer A.

55Charlottes Run is an absolute dream. Our pup Oliver is dog reactive and we’ve really never been able to have him run free off leash anywhere except at home. To see him be able to run, swim, walk on trails, explore was so amazing. Our senior dog Ellie also had the absolute BEST time. We are leaving with two very tired and happy dogs. This will definitely be a regular spot for us. Cass P.

55Absolutely perfect. My dog Ollie loved the open space to run. It's difficult sometimes to bring him places off leash and this was exactly what I was looking for. Completely fenced in and he has so much energy to burn off. Trails, the pond and the little gazebo was great. Perfect!!! We will definitely come again and I highly recommend to anyone who has second thoughts. Book it! Heather S.

55It’s an incredible spacious location that feels safe and private. My dog loved walking around the pond, rolling in the grass, and just hanging out in the shade. Wish we could have stayed all day! An hour didn’t feel like enough. Laurel S.

55Such a lovely spot! My dogs enjoyed running around and one of them took a little swim in the pond. The fencing is most areas is behind brush, so we just had to keep our little adventurers out of the brush (we did spot some wildlife!). Krista H.

55This was an amazing, large, spacious spot! We are very grateful to have had such a great space to run around! Our 2 dogs loved it very much!
Just a caution for other visitors, between the 2 dogs and us we pulled at least a dozen ticks off of us. Our dogs take their tick medicine but make sure you check your dogs and yourselves for ticks when you leave! traci c.

Will I encounter other dogs at Germantown dog hiking trails?
Not a chance. Germantown dog hiking trails operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. What are Germantown's dog hiking trail requirements?
