Jen's 100 Acre Private Dog Park and 2.5 miles of trails in Bath, Ontario.

Partially Fenced
100 acres

Daily 7:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. we offer a partially fenced 100 acre property where your dogs can run free. Updated March 8 2026: Spring is upon us! We've got snow, ice, earth, grass, mud, and gravel. The birds are going crazy 😍 There will be runoff out there, too, from melting ice. We keep the main trail plowed all winter, and side trails if the snow isn't too deep or heavy. Currently, we have 3 official (2.5 miles of) groomed trails (weather permitting), plus 2 groomed 1 acre field play areas. In warmer months, the main trail and playing fields are cut short if you wish to avoid longish grass. We have chairs available in the first field for you to relax. We have a Chuckit and balls available, fresh well water, bowls, and a garbage can in the first field also. There is a pond at the bottom of the first field to the right. Be advised that in spring and summer there are geese and ducks that nest there; muskrats and/or otters year round - please prevent your dogs from harassing the wildlife. I don't recommend the pond for swimming for humans at all and only for dogs in May, but dogs swim in there all summer and fall; it's your choice. In winter, the pond poses a danger. Please don't allow people or dogs to go on to the ice. There will be a warning sign in winter. From there we have a mile long gravel walking trail along fields and woods. It's very straight, and if you stay on the trail, you can't get lost. It is very quiet and peaceful. You can often see deer, wild turkeys, vultures, and lots of other birds, sometimes bald eagles. A walk to the end and back is 2 miles and takes 40 minutes at a moderate pace. Part way back the main trail goes through a shallow marsh. In the spring the frogs singing is quite remarkable! Further along there is a small run-off creek and metal culvert that is suitable for dog swimming when it is filled with water. This is marked with orange pylons so is avoidable if you put your dogs back on a lead as you pass. Just past the culvert, there are 2 fields going East that are planted with winter wheat. We have trails cut around these that go along woods and takes about 15 minutes, ending back on the main trail. If you just travel along the main trail you will reach the big hill. There is a tree stand at the bottom of this hill that has a deer trail camera on the stair railing facing up the west side of the hill. Going East at the base of the hill is the entrance to The Shady Trail, a nice short trail going through the cedars. The entrance is marked with orange tape. This trail ends at a small field with a deer stand in it, a red arrow marks the way back to the main trail. In and back would take about 10 minutes. The main trail ends at the top of the big hill. Please stay out of the woods spring through fall due to ticks. You can use the woods once cooler weather comes, provided you can find your way out. We do have ATV trails with entrances along the big hill, marked by private property signage. These trails aren't always obvious to others and we don't want folks getting lost so please keep your bearings. Be dressed for gravel on the trail, uneven footing on the side trails, and potential water and mud puddles on the property in wet seasons and after rain. During spring and summer, prepare for insects. Wear hats and repellent. ** The main trail can be icy in spots in winter so wear appropriate boots. The main trail runs North/South so if you want a sunny walk, go at midday. A shaded walk, go after 3 p.m. We have a white garbage can for poop but please use biodegradable dog poop bags. *Please remove your dogs' poop wherever they go!* *No smoking on the property* ***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD, $11 per hour for the first dog, subsequent dogs are $5.50/hour. On your way home, stop at MacKinnon's brewery just down the road for food and drinks. They are dog and family friendly; an all around great place to visit! River lovers spot!

Unfenced
0.25 acres

RIVER LOVERS’ SPOT IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE…. We are overrun with Canada Geese. The nesting pair were welcome but the number that have moved in since are overwhelming. Their waste has made the site unpleasant. There are 50-80 in residence currently. The adolescents are 75%. Attempts to thwart them have not been as successful as summers past. I will change the calendar (and pics) as the move on. Summer is short!! UPDATE: We are awaiting approval by Dept. Environmental Conservation for ground changes. I’M ANXIOUS AND WILL POST WORD SOON…please be patient 🙁. Follow up 8/10/2022 With summer slipping away and things not changing on our waterfront, I’ve decided to open the calendar and see what happens. Things don’t always go as planned. The water is low. The shore is rocky (but not far in). The natural shore is pretty mucky. And there’s an old dock that needs to be pulled. Mostly cosmetic and negotiable with the keepers of the wetlands. DOGS DON’T CARE. Take a peek and see if it would suit your pup. We’ll be here next year but once it freezes it’s a “no dog” zone. 🐾 Dogs, bring your people and swim, run, or just watch the ships on the St. Lawrence. No fence but there’s more riverfront than road front. Our spot is small, quiet and your only distractions will be shore birds, waterfowl and fish. The shore is low rocks so good footing preferred. The water is shallow. The vistas are perfect. All dogs should have a river spot to share.

Frequently asked questions about Greater Napanee dog water parks

Why are private dog water parks better than public dog parks in Greater Napanee?

Private dog water parks in Greater Napanee eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Greater Napanee's 8 private dog water parks offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Greater Napanee dog water parks compared to public dog parks?

Greater Napanee dog water parks are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Greater Napanee dog water parks eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Greater Napanee dog water parks safe for reactive dogs?

Greater Napanee owners of reactive dogs choose dog water parks because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy swimming and water play while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Greater Napanee reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Greater Napanee dog water parks?

Are Greater Napanee dog water parks good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Greater Napanee dog water parks because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Greater Napanee avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog water parks eliminate that worry. Do Greater Napanee dog water parks work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Greater Napanee dog water parks because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs.
