Three Oaks Farm 100 Acre Field Walk In Fort Edward

Unfenced
100 acres

** update June 12: we are closed through Thursday June 18th for haying ** Come explore the hay fields of Three Oaks Farm! We are a family owned beef producer on 124 acres in Fort Edward, NY and would like to share our fields with you and your dog(s)! Enjoy private, mowed paths while the hay is growing, or a completely open field that’s great for frisbee when it’s cut! This setting is perfect for a leisurely walk/run, photo opportunities in the grass/wildflowers or with the three large oak trees as a backdrop! We often share our fields with all sorts of wildlife including Bald Eagles, Osprey, geese, pheasants, deer, owls, hawks, song birds of all varieties and the occasional partridge! If your dog likes to swim after a walk, there is a swimming spot near the Dead Creek bridge! Parking is on our 1st field road right after the Dead Creek bridge, and is directly off County Route 46. The parking area is marked in the photos. **We ask that you please park near the road and do not drive down the field road when it’s wet. Please stay on the field road and do not drive in the hay fields. Thank you! **The east portion of the field does have a paddock of hot electric fence- it is easy to see the wire and posts. We do have beef cows/calves that are sometimes near the fence line- they are friendly and used to dogs; however, we strongly discourage attempting to pet them, feed them, or allowing dogs to get too close to them or the fence.

Frequently asked questions about Greenwich dog parks

Are private dog parks better than public dog parks in Greenwich?

Yes, private dog parks in Greenwich eliminate the major risks of public facilities: unpredictable dog encounters, inattentive owners, disease transmission, and chaotic environments. With Sniffspot's 251 private locations in Greenwich, you get complete privacy during your booking, professionally maintained spaces, and flexible scheduling. No more worrying about aggressive dogs or unsafe conditions. Historic Farm: Dog Unlimited and other highly-rated Greenwich locations consistently receive 5-star reviews for safety and cleanliness.

Are Sniffspot dog parks in Greenwich safe for all dog types?

Absolutely! Greenwich Sniffspot locations welcome puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel overwhelmed at public parks, high-energy dogs needing room to run, and reactive dogs requiring privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets exactly the environment they need with no compromises. Whether your dog is friendly, selective, anxious, or anywhere in between, Greenwich has 251 options to match their temperament.

When can puppies start visiting dog parks in Greenwich?

Puppies can visit Greenwich Sniffspot locations as soon as they have age-appropriate vaccinations (typically around 8-10 weeks with their first round of shots). Unlike public dog parks where you'd wait until puppies are fully vaccinated at 16+ weeks, Sniffspot's private bookings eliminate disease risk from unknown dogs. This early, safe socialization in Greenwich helps prevent fear and reactivity issues later. Many Greenwich trainers specifically use Sniffspot for puppy development.

How do I find private dog parks near me in Greenwich?

Browse Greenwich's 251 private dog parks on Sniffspot by entering your zip code or neighborhood. Filter by distance (within 5, 10, or 25 miles), then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities like fully fenced dog parks or small dog parks. Each Greenwich listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Historic Farm: Dog Unlimited is particularly popular among Greenwich dog owners.

Are Greenwich dog parks good for small dogs?

Yes! Many Greenwich Sniffspot hosts specifically mark their spaces as "small dog friendly," meaning they're sized appropriately for toy breeds and small dogs. Unlike public dog parks where small dogs can be intimidated or injured by larger dogs, Greenwich private bookings give your small dog the entire space. Filter for secure fencing with no gaps, smaller yard sizes, and hosts who cater to petite pups. Some Greenwich dog park locations even have separate small dog areas.

What's the difference between Sniffspot and public dog parks in Greenwich?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Greenwich mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. You can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 251 Greenwich locations give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, you get amenities like fully fenced dog parks, small dog parks, and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Do Greenwich dog parks allow senior dogs?

Yes! Greenwich Sniffspot locations are excellent for senior dogs who need gentle exercise without the stress of public dog parks. Older dogs can explore at their own pace, rest when needed, and avoid being knocked over by rambunctious dogs. Look for Greenwich spots with flat terrain, shaded areas, easy access, and smaller sizes if your senior has limited mobility. The privacy means your older dog can enjoy off-leash time safely and comfortably.

Can I rent a private dog park in Greenwich by the hour?

Yes! All 251 Sniffspot locations in Greenwich are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer if needed. Book instantly through the platform, arrive during your time slot, and have the entire space to yourself. Many Greenwich dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise for their dogs.
