Melonie's Private Backyard In New Richmond

Fully Fenced
0.06 acres

This is my own dogs backyard that potty, play, and train in for over 25 years. The fencing is privacy 4x6 panels and is over 25 years old. I am hosting it so other dogs and the humans can have a place to enjoy themselves without to many triggers. I have a little bit of training equipment. There are stick pole weaves and weave-o-matics (bought from our kennel club). I have some homemade Teacup agility equipment that was donated to my Granddaughter last Summer and I'll be pulling it out to see what is usable. Since this yard is my dogs area to potty and play I only bring out so much training equipment so they have plenty of room to roam. So keep an eye out on me changing photos so you know what equipment is out in the yard. I have kiddie pools that I'll be pulling out for my dogs to use as the Temperature rises. Unfortunately my town changes for water usage so they won't always be completely filled, just enough to keep the dogs cool. There are old dog toys in the yard that my dogs play with or destroy. Your dogs are welcome to play with them, just make sure to throw away the ones they destroy in the trash can. I also have a teether pole if your dogs like to teether pull. I have other training oddities that I will list as I round up for my dogs training. All I ask is please DO NOT bring SICK dogs to my backyard. If they are having Diarrhea, coughing, and etc. please don't bring them. Wait until it has cleared up. Please be considerate to others!

The Sniff & Splash Spot

Partially Fenced
1 acre

🌳🐾 Welcome to The Hidden Gem on Wildcat Creek—Dayton, Indiana’s best-kept doggy paradise! ****Don’t let the rugged approach fool you. Past the gate is an acre of pure freedom: shady napping spots, tall grass for zoomies, sticks galore, and Wildcat Creek itself—cool water, soft sand, smooth rocks, and the soothing sound of rushing water. ****We want you and your pup to feel right at home here. Bring a snack, sip on some cold lemonade, and hang out as long as you like. Feel free to walk the creek (just use caution—there’s no lifeguard on duty). And if you spot a special rock, shell, or the perfect stick? Take it with you as a keepsake—a little memory of your day at The Hidden Gem. ******Perfect for pups who love to splash, sniff, and explore—and for owners who want to unwind in nature’s secret hideaway. Come see it for yourself. Your dog will thank you. 🐾💦✨

Frequently asked questions about Lafayette dog agility parks

Why are private dog agility parks better than public dog parks in Lafayette?

Private dog agility parks in Lafayette eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Lafayette's 14 private dog agility parks offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Lafayette dog agility parks compared to public dog parks?

Lafayette dog agility parks are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Lafayette dog agility parks eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Lafayette dog agility parks safe for reactive dogs?

Lafayette owners of reactive dogs choose dog agility parks because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy agility training and mental stimulation while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Lafayette reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Lafayette dog agility parks?

Yes! Lafayette dog agility parks provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a space equipped with obstacles like tunnels, jumps, and weave poles for agility training at their own pace without stress. Many Lafayette dog agility parks offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Lafayette dog agility parks good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Lafayette dog agility parks because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Lafayette avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog agility parks eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Lafayette dog agility parks work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Lafayette dog agility parks because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Lafayette dog agility parks with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Lafayette dog owners say about dog agility parks?

Reviews of Lafayette dog agility parks consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Bailey's 1 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Carmel is particularly praised in Lafayette. Read reviews to see real experiences from Lafayette dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are Lafayette dog agility parks?

Lafayette hosts maintain their own dog agility parks and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many Lafayette hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse Lafayette dog agility park listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
