Beautiful, fenced yard! There's plenty of plants and different types of spots for dogs who love to sniff AND there's room to throw balls.
Will definitely be back.
There is a pond and one of my dogs did decide to go for an unsanctioned dip 😅
Fully fenced, lots of little paths and corners to explore! We lost our toys somewhere so if you don’t recognize a couple. . . Thank you!!
It’s always a pleasure - so fun to see what’s bloomed since our last visit, and the dogs loved racing each other and sniffing around
Lovely sniff spot! It’s very secure and clean. My dog had such a good time running around and smelling every little leaf. We will return :)
What a magical, beautiful yard! The dogs were absolutely thrilled to have such a fun, large space to explore and run. We’ll absolutely be back!
Beautiful space. Great host! 25-30 minutes north of Albany on the other side of the Hudson.
Horses and other dogs on premises and open view to them. Using these opportunities to desensitize him to other dogs. Kat was great with advice.
Plenty of toys, but our pup was too busy with all the new smells and the horses, which were a new thing for him. They have a sprinkler, which was not set up yet, although they offered to do so.
Great spot! Very quiet and peaceful. My dog loved sniffing all of the animal tracks and running along the trails.
There are a couple of places that go right by the road—we didn’t have an issue and walked all of the trails including those areas, but they’re easy to avoid if you’re concerned. My dog found a coyote carcass in the middle of the property, so there’s definitely wildlife around! We didn’t run into any ATVs
This was my first time visiting a SniffSpot. It was wonderful. As other reviews have stated, there is a section of the atv paths that go near the road. But there are plenty of paths that don't go near the road too.
I visited in the winter and didn't see another human or any animals. I did see plenty of deer tracks in the snow though. The majority of this SniffSpot is tree lined so my dogs naturally stayed within the boundary dispite there being no fence.
I spent an hour here and there were plenty of paths to occupy that whole time without backtracking. I'll definitely be going back again.
Beautiful area! There were ATVs when we visited and the people there were super friendly. Had a wonderful time and would come back again!
George's 40 Acre Unfenced Dog Park is a vast, tranquil space allowing a long walk my Australian Cattle Dog, Medika. Her recall is relaxed at this point, whereby "COME" is a suggestion in her highly independent assessment rather than a command. We begin training soon to correct this, but for now and moving forward this is an optimal setting for multiple reasons. Foremost, Medika can run, explore, dig & ramble to her heart's content. The entire area is interconnected trails, with wide open fields, a pond, tall grass, forest, hills & valleys throughout: a physical workout for you & your pup. One trail parallels briefly with the public road, but all other trails lead well inside the interior. No ATVs were present during our visit. For me, it was a quiet, meditative ramble well worth the drive from downtown Albany. A second visit is already booked: its a place we'll enjoy throughout the year!
Great piece of land for the dogs to explore. Easy to find. Didn't see anyone on ATVs while we were there.
A great space, with lots of nice trails. We saw quite a few people out on ATVs as forewarned we would, but otherwise nice a quiet. The dogs had a blast.
This is a great spot for off leash training and field work. There is a pond for swimming and water retrieves. There are fields with low cover and some with higher cover. I really enjoyed my first visit and look forward to going back.
My pup had a great time running along the ATV trails and fields! We saw a few people in the parking lot when we got there and were leaving, but did not run into anyone on the trails.
Very accommodating. Dogs had a blast, beautiful scenery. ATV trails through property but it's so large we didn't see another soul. Great spot!
Most magical place ever!!! Property is amazing! The ponds are awesome, one even has a dock for dogs to jump off and the trails are great for the dogs! Everything was incredible!
Loved this spot again, the swimming and the trails are a blast for my dog. Fair warning, I’ve pulled 7 ticks off him so far, even being on two tick preventions, so be sure to check your dog and yourself!
This property is absolutely gorgeous and my dog loved it! Such nice trails, and so much to sniff! I will definitely bring my dog here again
We had a blast here!! There is so much to explore and the hosts are so friendly. Our dog got to swim and run and play. We walked on the trails and then had time for him to swim afterwards. The lake is so clean. We will 100% be back, such a great find to get our dog out of the city for a few hours.
This place is amazing! My dogs and I had a great time. There are lots of nicely maintained trails to walk and space for the dogs to run. The host is great and was so nice to meet us on our visit and explain the property to us.
