It has a neatly mowed area of approximately 2 acres, a mowed, well marked trail which is about 1/2 mile long, with the remainder of the area in native grasses and vegetation. On any visit you may see cottontail rabbits, jack rabbits, pronghorn antelope and other wildlife native to this area. The parking area is a good distance from the entrance so you can unload and load your dogs safely without having to worry about traffic. We have a great view of Pikes Peak, well away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Quiet, peaceful & relaxing. You will enjoy your visit just as much as your dogs.

The area is fenced on the north, south, and west sides with T-post and barbed wire, but the east side is open, so this spot is best for dogs with good recall or under close supervision. This is also a great property for training gundogs or bird dogs. With wide open space, varied terrain, and natural distractions, it's perfect for practicing recall, obedience, and fieldwork-style training. Please note: 🐾 There are natural hazards such as cactus, prairie dog holes, red anthills, and prickly brush—please supervise your pup carefully. 🐴 Horses can sometimes be seen on the neighboring property to the north. 🐶 Our personal dog may be outside in the fenced area near the house but won’t be accessible to your dog. 🚫 No people should be visible or around during your visit. 🚗 Park on the north or south side of the brown house when you arrive via the dirt easement road off Judge Orr. This is a peaceful place to let your dog enjoy nature—just be mindful of the environment and boundaries (please don’t cross the pond on the east side).
