55Oh my gosh! I have never seen my dog so happy. I was on the verge of tears while I was here. When we adopted our dog without a yard we were ready to spend all of our time on walks, hiking, being outside with him whenever we could be. He ended up being way more reactive than we were told, which has limited lot of those dreams for now as we have him in training. Our dog doesn’t have many places he comfortable enough to be able to “try out” being a “dog”. Here is was able to do that. He got his energy out and he was happy. My dogs had a fantastic time. The yard was clean and there were no gaps in any of the fences.. They had a lot of room to run around and play..Johanna is a very good host.. She answered all my questions and we had great communication.. Not sure what's under it but my dog kept going under there (which I didn't really mind because i think he just found a tennis ball). Half of the property is used for the growing project for part of the year. During winter, it hasn’t been occupied so we were allowed to walk around. There’s some livestock, horses and occasionally the neighbors’ dogs will be out. It’s a great place for a reactive dog to decompress and still enjoy exercise and exploring all the new smells. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
