**The pool is officially open as of April 5th!** Welcome! We have a fun property your dogs will love! We have a 2 acre property, which includes approximately a half acre fenced area, a 1 acre unfenced area, and a separately fenced inground pool area. Only dogs are allowed in the swimming pool (unless you're actively helping or playing with them). Two creeks outline our property and dogs are welcome anywhere on the property. We tend to keep the grass in the back of the property a bit longer to support the bees, but it also makes for lots more sniffing for the pups! If you're using the unfenced portion of the yard, dogs must be on leash. We have dogs of our own, but we will keep them secure in the house when you're using the property so you'll have the whole yard and pool to yourself. We have a huge fenced in backyard, around 1/2 acre, and there’s a smaller fenced in area in the backyard. During the summer when it gets hot we’ll have a kiddie pool and a water hose you’re free to use. I can also provide a few chairs, and water for the pups if needed! **Our neighbor has a dog (who's a very sweet boy) who lives outside and shares a fence with us. Some guests have dogs that are very reactive so I wanted to give a heads up!

The Dog Park at George Poston Park in Gastonia, North Carolina is a fully-fenced enclosure that opens at 7 am daily and closes at sunset. The park has strict rules in place, including leashing dogs until safely inside and outside the park, supervising children, and no smoking or eating in the park. Twenty-seven acres right outside of 28021 city limits. Former cattle and sheep pasture, currently empty of livestock but waiting for you and your pup(s) to explore! Variety of areas: from large open pastures to heavily wooded (but still easily accessible/walkable) areas = lots to see, hear, and sniff! No need to pick up after your pet either! Water available multiple locations: outside the fenced pastures near block building/parking via hose pipe at the well near the garden 🪴 or inside the pastures (look for the blue barrels and the cattle waterers).

On other sides we have wire and chain link. *There are critters that like to lift up our wire fencing. Just beware if you have a tiny dog.* Wildlife: You may see snakes, rabbits, deer, and squirrels. There have been times that deer will be stuck inside our fencing. Grounds: It is a hilly and lumpy so be careful where you step. You can see holes dug in the yard from dogs. It is fine if they dig. We spot treat poison oak and ivy with an all natural mixture that includes vinegar. We do not use chemicals. ** Watch out for fire ant hills** Water: You have access to our well and a large water bowl. There should be at least one small water bowl in the carport as well. If you need a date and time not available please message me. I may can add you in. I am still figuring out my summer schedule. *** We live outside of the city limits and unfortunately it is not unheard of to hear guns if people are hunting, if you run into this while here and it bothers your pups please let us know and we can offer you a return visit or a refund.***

Fully fenced in yard to run around in! Play fetch, frisbee, or work on some agility tasks! Gate located off driveway, table and chairs to relax at while the pup plays. Available agility equipment are jumps, tunnel, dog walk, table, tire hoop, mini A-frame/dog walk trainer. Yard is regularly sprayed (safe for pups) for mosquitos so it will be a bug free experience! Please not that agility equipment may be off to side sometimes for mowing. Note: Agility teeter and dog walk are smaller than regulation, but all dogs welcome to use it. The pasture was originally used for goats so there are lots of interesting smells. Picnic table and outdoor furniture for humans or dogs underneath shade trees. Climbing structure. Water with hose available. Trash and poop bags available. Entrance is 80 yards away from residence. Minutes from 485/Lawyers Rd - easy to find, easy to access. NOTE AS OF 8/3/25 - We have a downed tree in the pasture. It did not compromise the fence and is enclosed with a temporary fence. It does not pose a risk and we are having it removed. Still plenty of room to run and sniff! *NEW* We will have seasonal homemade jellies, jams, and pickles for sale at our welcome table.
