The trails are mostly wooded, and there is a ravine with a small creek (often dry in the summer). There are areas of trails, woods, prairie, and mowed grass. There is a barbed-wire fence marking the property line around the property, however it is not fully-fenced. Your dog will need to know to stay close enough to you or respond to your calls. *Poop bags provided* 10% of all profit is donated to dog rescue organizations

The area behind the house is quiet and peaceful and spacious. There is Chuck sticks and frisbees, but you have to bring your own balls. I always provide freshwater and dog treats and there are chairs for people to sit while their dogs run around. Also the home of Critterville self pet wash, if the dog gets stinky after it runs around it can get a warm bath before it goes home if the pet wash is available at that time. There is a sign to the left of the garage door that says Sniff Spot park here you can walk around the left side of the house and enter the backyard from that gate. Follow the signs.

*11/18/25 update: Our home renovations have continued to linger but are approaching the final stage. We hope to begin accepting bookings in early 2026. Thank you! Welcome from the Oak Ridge Standard Poodles and their humans! We invite you to stop by and visit! The yard is fully enclosed with a 6 foot bamboo privacy fence and there is plenty of room to run and play. You'll have full access to a yard level deck, two patios, and a fire pit. Additional dog activities include: large digging area, weave poles, dog walk, and hanging rope toys. Other items available upon request- see extras! There are chairs and tables in various spots year round. When the weather allows, there is a sectional couch, dog cots, and hammocks as well. The water bowl is large and can be filled/refreshed as needed from the outdoor water spigot under the deck. During your visit, you'll find complimentary dog treats, toys, towels, wipes, poop bags and more! We also provide chilled bottled water (in a cooler) for the humans as well as sanitizer, bug spray, and sunscreen if needed. The resident dogs cannot see you from anywhere in the yard, but they may hear you depending on your location and activity level. This means they may bark on rare occasion from inside the house. You may also hear neighborhood children at the nearby park. Two neighboring homes do have resident dogs who may outside in their own fenced yard during your visit. Guest Wi-Fi: Network-sniffspot Password-sniffspot Parking/Security- We strongly prefer that you pull into the driveway and park on the left side close to the house/garage. Once parked, this area is not visible to our dogs from inside the home, which means they are less likely to bark hello greetings. 🐩 It also means the curious/friendly/inquisitive neighbors will not approach you. Gated access to the sniff spot is on the left side of our home just a few feet from the designated/recommended parking area. The gate is secured with a lock that is opened with a code. You may wish to unlock the gate first and then get your pup out of the vehicle. Security cameras monitor all outdoor spaces.
