Poppy's Play Prairie: 15 acres of fun!

Partially Fenced
15 acres

🌸🌿🌱🌦️ Welcome to Spring at Poppy’s! The prairie and woods are coming alive! But spring also brings unpredictable weather, leading to changing conditions on the trails. Please come prepared for mud and uneven trails. But we can always promise excellent sniffs and adventure for your 4-legged friends no matter what! **Fostering a dog? Message for special discounts** This is our private residence. Our dogs love walking the trails, sprinting through the woods, and diving through the prairie grasses. We love offering other pups the chance to enjoy it too! The trails are mostly wooded, and there is a ravine with a small creek (often dry in the summer). There are areas of trails, woods, prairie, and mowed grass. There is a barbed-wire fence marking the property line around the property, however it is not fully-fenced. Your dog will need to know to stay close enough to you or respond to your calls. *Poop bags provided* 10% of all profit is donated to dog rescue organizations

PawHalla! Private Dog Park In Prior Lake

Partially Fenced
8 acres

Our Property Description: Our farm is located just 40 minutes south of Minneapolis in a gorgeous stretch of rural residences. This property is a hobby farm with many resident farm animals including chickens, ducks, geese, goats, barn cats and a pony. Your dogs will have plenty of animal smells to get their noses activated! We do see wildlife including many wild birds, rabbits, and an occasional deer. We have 8 acres total including about 5 acres of partially fenced and fully fenced pastures for our guest dogs! There is a kiddie pool we can set up upon request, we have some agility equiptment in the main fenced pasture/dog hang out spot that is free for you to use! We have seating for our two legged guests and toys that you can use for your pup! Important Property Facts: As this place is our home and a home for our animals we ask that guests please do not allow their dogs to harass our resident animals. We ask that guest dogs not be allowed to potty on anything man made (fences are the exception!). Don’t worry, there are dozens of trees and shrubs for plenty of potty spots! Because our cats free range the property we cannot guarantee your dog will not encounter a cat but the cats are dog savvy and generally shy around strangers. We have 2 fully enclosed fenced areas but our yards are not suitable (YET!) for dogs that are a flight risk as the main fences in our largest fully fenced pasture has had years of horses and goats leaning on the fence causing sagging in some spots down to about 2 1/2 feet in some areas. We do have a few bigger pieces of agility equipment in our personal yard which we ask guests not to use without permission. The large livestock gates do have slats that dogs can squeeze through as well. We are working at this time to create a solution for this! We do have one fence area with small mesh that would be suitable for smaller dogs. Please pick up after your dog. We know it can be hard in some of the tall grasses but we appreciate your effort to help keep our spaces as clean as possible for other guests! Also, our pastures are shared with horses for a few months out of the year. When horses are present manure will be present so we can help you avoid these areas if that is a concern! Lastly, we know we have a few Burrs around so if you spot any please let us know as we do try to pull them. We hope your dog loves our space as much as we do!

Frequently asked questions about Mankato dog fields

What types of dog fields are available in Mankato?

Mankato has 17 dog fields offers wide-open grass fields, fetch lanes, and open running space. Whether you need a fully-fenced space for poor recall, a quiet location for a reactive dog, appropriate sizing for small breeds, gentle terrain for seniors, or specific amenities like water features or agility equipment, you'll find options in Mankato. Filter by fencing, size, distractions, and amenities to match your needs.

When can I book dog fields in Mankato?

Mankato dog fields are available based on host scheduling—many operate dawn to dusk or even 24/7. Unlike public dog parks with rigid hours, you choose the exact time that works for you. Check individual Mankato listings for specific availability. Flexible scheduling is especially helpful for dogs with specific needs: reactive dogs who do better during quieter times, working dog owners needing early/late slots, or seniors needing cooler morning hours.

How do I book a dog field in Mankato?

Browse 17 available dog fields in Mankato, select your preferred date and time, and reserve through Sniffspot. Most Mankato locations offer instant booking. You'll receive confirmation, exact address, and entry instructions. The booking process takes just minutes—perfect when your dog needs exercise, whether that's a reactive dog requiring safe space, a puppy needing socialization, or an energetic dog burning off steam.

What's the most popular dog field in Mankato?

Poppy's Play Prairie: 15 acres of fun! is highly rated among Mankato dog fields, known for excellent amenities and positive reviews. However, the "best" spot depends on your dog's needs—reactive dogs might prioritize privacy and quiet, puppies might need secure fencing, seniors might want flat terrain, while active dogs might want maximum running space. Browse Mankato listings to find your ideal match.

Can I use Mankato dog fields for training sessions?

Yes! Mankato dog fields are perfect for training because they're private and distraction-free. Work on recall, practice long-distance recall across open space, running drills, or field sports like fetch and frisbee, help reactive dogs build confidence, socialize puppies, or work on obedience—all without public dog park unpredictability. Many Mankato professional trainers use these spaces for client sessions with all types of dogs.

Do Mankato dog fields accommodate multiple dogs?

Most Mankato dog fields welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings for specifics). If you have several dogs—especially if some are reactive toward strange dogs or if you have mixed ages (puppies and seniors)—private dog fields let them play together safely without outside interference or triggers.

What amenities do Mankato dog fields offer?

Mankato dog fields feature amenities like large open grass areas for full-speed running and fetch, with room for frisbee, lure coursing, and off-leash sprints. Many hosts provide extras: poop bags, water stations, toys, shaded seating, parking, even dog wash stations. Each Mankato listing clearly shows what's available. Look for amenities matching your dog's needs: shade for heat-sensitive breeds, water for swimmers, agility for active dogs, or privacy features for anxious pets.

Are Mankato dog fields available year-round?

Most fields are available year-round, though some may close temporarily for maintenance or during severe weather. Many Mankato hosts maintain their dog fields throughout all seasons. Filter for covered or climate-controlled options if weather matters. Indoor dog fields provide year-round access regardless of Mankato weather conditions. Check individual listings for seasonal availability and policies.
