55This place is wonderful.
Lots of room to play and sniff. You do need a dog with reliable recall because there is no fence. The place is safe and fun. It is not near anything that would put your dog in jeopardy. Carmen W.

55We wanted a spot to take our reactive dog for a walk and this was great! There are dogs visible, but there is plenty of room to explore away from the other pups. We really enjoyed our walk and will be back!Hope D.

55Such a great place to bring my anxious/reactive dog to explore! Easy to find and nice and quiet. Trail was short and flat enough for me as a disabled person to navigate without issues. We were able to work on longline work without distractions around and generally enjoy our time. Will definitely be back to explore off trail a little more like my dog wanted to after a couple laps around the trail made him more comfortable. Beautiful area to enjoy some time with your doggo. 55Love this spot! I’m in town visiting a friend and need a place to tire my very reactive hyper dog out! Even though this property isn’t fenced, the map that was provided made it very easy to avoid the paths that would lead me to areas with neighboring dogs. This is our new favorite Spokane spot! 55This property is beautiful! We loved walking around with our dog and seeing the wildflowers. Our dog is nervous and really enjoyed just sitting near the provided shelter and sniffing the air. Thank you for opening your property to us!Emily B.

55My White Swiss Shepherd girl had a wonderful time running around this trail and property while we walked and talked. She is very social, and when we got near the neighbors house she was quite enamored with their German Shepherd and ran off to go play. We were able to call her back, but it was a major temptation and we avoided that area after that!Jacquelyn B.

55Another great visit to this spot! Well worth the drive out to Medical Lake with our reactive boy. He has a great time sniffing and wandering around and I feel comfortable knowing we aren’t going to run into any triggers. Win/win for everyone. Alesia B.

55Nice location and kind host!
The property is large and marked well. Did a smaller loop 2x rather than go by area where neighbors dogs might be out.
Colin had a laminated map, doggie bags and random toys around. He explained everything.
Dogs had a really good time, thanks Colin!Jill F.

55Dogs loved the space. It was super cold so we could only spend about 20 minutes out, but they got a lot out of it. The area and path markers were a little difficult to spot sometimes. Not sure if any were covered by snow. Heads up! Google maps took me the wrong address. Once I realized I was at the wrong place, it was easy to find. Thanks Doggy Dome!Levi S.

FAQ about our Medical Lake dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
