55Enchanted getaway with a deceptively large area for getting speed under the paws. So many areas of exploration for curious critters. Outlet on rear of house by the deck was a handy modern convenience when my phone died and I had to keep track of my time. Truly transporting spot for owner and dog alike. The concrete and brick perimeter and rambling garden will put you somewhere in the Old World. Nice that visitors are welcome to use black disposal bins.Roxane A.

55Shortbread had the best time getting his zoomies out in your beautiful yard! It was easy for us to park and get inside and there was plenty of room to run around. Thank you!Melanie X.

55Please note, if you have a barrier reactive dog, this spot won’t work for you. We had to leave after only 15 minutes because the little dog next door came out, went right up to the fence, and started barking at my dogs through the cracks in the privacy fence. My barrier reactive dog lost it and we had to leave. I am still giving 5 stars because the nextdoor dog was mentioned in the description and I took the chance that the privacy fence would make the dog unseeable. It did not. Still a really clean and nice spot to let your dogs play if they aren’t reactive. Stacy S.

55Yard was clean and my dogs had a great time. My one negative is I was unable to turn on the hose to give my dogs water. Other than that great spot and will probably be back!Sam F.

55No hassle visit. They loved the greenery and I loved the table for 6! I will bring a few friends next time. No parking in the front especially on the weekend. I parked in the back alley. Let them run zombies and explore for most part but worked on some recall drills. Wanted to give them water from the hose but didn't know if it was available at this spot. Will come back again.Robin T.

55We love love love this sniffspot. Great location for us and super walkable. Great value for the price and the yard has always been private and secure. Our 20lb terrier mix needed to run after all the winter weather and this is the perfect spot to exercise him!Roxanne D.

55This was second time visiting here and we're so excited to keep coming back. Our dog loves running around and just stretching her legs. It's very clean and we haven't had to deal with seeing any other dogs. We love it!Sam L.

55What a great, open, clean spot! Our dog had a blast chasing a ball (til he started eating dirt and grass in the corners, the big moron, and I had to take him home early 🙄). My only glitch was not being totally sure I was entering the right yard - that always freaks me out. Assuming I was in the right place, easy peasy to pull the car right up to the fence (it says No Parking so crossing my fingers on this part too) and walk thru the gate. As soon as I closed the gate behind us my dog was bouncing with glee at the big open space - even at the ripe age of 10! Thanks so much - hope to visit again soon. Kim R.

FAQ about our North Chicago dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the North Chicago area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 331 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 43 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
