This is the site of a forming intentional community. We are making it livable one step at a time. We bought the land cleared and in the meantime, use our 200+ acres to host hip camp, make bike trails and kayak out in areas. I take my foxhound dog here while we hike the trails and work on the land. I found her on the side of the highway and found the owner but he didn’t want her back. I was going through a hard time. I did not intend on getting a dog, let alone a former hunting dog with such active needs! She had a lot of issues to figure out. We are both independent creatures which in the beginning was a source of trouble but now is a source of understanding. This land has been a blessing in us finding our balance. I can’t take her most places and let her off leash because her breed habit is to wander. She needs exercise. She has a need to run. She is so happy when we come here. She knows it means freedom. If it wasn’t for places like this, I would have a very frustrated pup! This place has helped us love each other. I hope you can experience the same!
