Scottsdale Pawty House

Fully Fenced
0.11 acres

Welcome to our backyard oasis! Feel free to use all the seating, umbrellas, and pool at your convenience. Conveniently located right off the Loop 101 in South Scottsdale! 🏝️Our pool has steps leading in, but it does get deep (about 8-9ft). Please be sure that any dogs/humans using the pool know how to swim. Safety is our top priority! Our pool cleaner comes every week on Friday afternoons. If you book during this time, please be aware of this. 🎾There are toys for your use by the entrance gate. Please try to put the toys back in the basket before you leave! Toys are welcome to be used in the pool as well. 💧 There is a bowl on the back wall next to our hose for dogs to drink from. The bowl is refilled in the mornings, but if you would like fresh water, please feel free to refill the bowl with our hose. Just be sure to turn the hose off after use. 🚫The concrete blocks around the yard are there for important reasons. They are either holding down umbrellas or are covering holes in the yard. Please DO NOT move the blocks for any reason. They are there for your safety. 💩There are poop bags in the green planter on the large glass table. Please pick up after your pooch and throw the used bags away in the black trash bin located to the left of the entrance gate. Clean beach towels will be folded on the chairs closest to the entrance gate. If you use a towel, please hang it on the back of any chair so that we know it is dirty and needs to be washed. Swim, run, and have fun!!!

REAL Grass Large POOL w/Large Baja Step & Lots of Room to Run in Ahwatukee/Phoenix w/Fully Fenced Mountain View's Yard🌄

Fully Fenced
0.18 acres

🐾 Welcome to our Sniffspot! 🐾 We’re proud to be part of the rescue community, and every booking helps support our rescue efforts and the animals we love. ❤️🐶🐱 ☀️🌙 Because Arizona summers are hot, we happily offer evening visits too! Our 0.18-acre yard gives pups plenty of room to run, play, and explore. 🏊‍♀️ Our dog-friendly pool features easy-entry steps and a shallow lounging area, and you’re welcome to swim alongside your pup! The pool reaches a maximum depth of about 5 feet. If you’ll be bringing 🚨 children who cannot swim 🚨, please let us know after booking. ✨ At night, the pool lights up! Choose classic white or colorful changing lights after booking. Patio lighting keeps the yard bright for safe and fun evening visits. 🎾 Whether your pup loves fetch, zoomies, swimming, or simply relaxing, there’s something for everyone. Feel free to bring a speaker and enjoy your favorite music while you unwind. 👥 Reservations include up to 2 adults per dog. Additional adult guests are welcome for a $10 fee per person. 🧹 Please help us keep the yard clean by picking up all trash, belongings, and used dog treats before leaving. Gum must be disposed of in the poop trash can only and should never be left on the patio, sidewalks, pool steps, or landscaping rocks. Unfortunately this is a big issue for us.😢 ☂️ Please do not adjust or move the pool umbrella. Unfortunately, we've had to replace it multiple times due to damage, and we'd love to keep it available for everyone to enjoy. ⚠️ The slide is currently cracked and unavailable for use. Thank you for understanding! Thank you for supporting rescue while giving your pups a safe place to play!

Shaggy's Shack in Tempe

Fully Fenced
0.5 acres

Does life feel “ruff” sometimes? Maybe it’s time to run free in an enclosed private backyard with lots of grass. Or are you looking to “make your mark” in this world? Or perhaps you just want to “paws” and relax in the shade. If so, then Shaggy’s Shack Sniffspot is for you....and your awesome human, too! Shaggy’s Shack in Tempe has lots of grass for running, chasing balls, and doing the zoomies! It’s fully enclosed with a 5 to 6-foot block wall and more than 25 trees and bushes to explore. You can play fetch with tons of toys and there’s a designated digging spot, too. Or maybe you just want to cool off in a diving pool that’s professionally cleaned every Wednesday–even during Tempe’s cold months. Oh, and Shaggy’s Shack also has features shaded chairs for your human to relax as they watch you explore, play fetch, swim, and have a pawsitively good time. Shaggy’s Shack’s residents (and their humans) will be home but out of sight. The entire lot is just shy of a half-acre, and it’s conveniently located in Tempe. Many dogs live in the area, they may bark in greeting when they hear you. We offer many pawsome amenities at Shaggy’s Shack, including bags and a trash can for your nature calls and a disposable water dish with lots of fresh water (and water for your human, too). Clean towels for drying off after you’ve doggie-paddled in the pool are also provided. Of course, use of the pool is at your and your human’s own risk. The pool is chlorinated and not heated in the winter months. Your human may use the pool to get a closer look at your pawsome doggie paddling technique. While we provide towels for you, we ask that your human brings their own towels. There is no fence or gate around the pool, and we strongly encourage you to bring your own doggie life vest if you do decide to get your paws wet. Discounts are available for multiple dogs. Visit times can be extended if there is availability. Respecting Sniffspot’s 30-minute transition time between visit times is very important. So that no one gets hurt or gets into something that could be dangerous, glass, alcohol and smoking are prohibited. All pups need to be up-to-date on all vaccinations to keep our resident and visiting doggos healthy. Since Shaggy’s Shack Sniffspot is for dogs, please be mindful of your doggie to human ratio; kids are welcome but must be 100% supervised, especially around the ungated, unfenced pool. Our goal is to make your time at Shaggy’s Shack loads of fun for you and your human so you’ll come back again and again. We’re sure you’ll need a long cat nap after a furbulous visit to Shaggy’s Shack! What are you waiting for? Stop chasing your tail and schedule your time at Shaggy’s Shack Sniffspot today! We’re sure you’ll have a pawesome time!

Christopher's 0.5 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Phoenix

Fully Fenced
0.5 acres

Half Acre Property with a huge fenced yard! I've rented the yard on a different site for 2 years. Pool is included in price if you’d like to use it with your pup. Pool bathroom is on the west side of the house and is marked. I'd say half of the bookings are people wanting to use the yard for large dog social gatherings. There is a sitting area under an oak tree and plenty of room for running around and playing with your dog or multiple dogs. We've had "Corgi" parties with 20 small dogs running around having fun. There is a pool bathroom on the west side of the house that dan be accessed through the west gate. This can be used during your stay. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions :) Chris

Massive 1.3-Acre Private Oasis with Commercial Pool & Waterfall

Fully Fenced
1 acre

Welcome to a rare 1.3-acre sanctuary! If you’re looking for room to run and a place to cool off, this is one of the largest private dog parks in the area. Our space is fully fenced and designed for both high-energy play and ultimate relaxation. Our centerpiece is a commercial -sized pool, featuring a waterfall, a diving board for the brave pups, and a dedicated lounge area. Please note(Warm weather Pool Access): To maintain the highest standards of water quality and safety, the pool is now a premium add-on feature. Why the extra fee? Doggy paddles are fun, but they require significantly more maintenance, specialized cleaning, and a higher balance of skin-safe chemicals to keep the water pristine for everyone. If you’d like to include the pool access in your visit, please ensure you select the extra add on feature during booking.

Sollie's Place: Private Parking! Pool, Agility, & Digging!

Fully Fenced
0.17 acres

We bought this yard specifically for our reactive dog (Sollie). He absolutely loved it and really flourished here. He’s passed away now, so we want to share our yard with more doggies! Do agility, jump in the pool, dig some holes, and just generally create chaos. If you know for sure that you won't use the pool, send me a message. I might be open-minded to a discount. 😊 Agility equipment is the portable type, so it’s just 2 jumps and weave poles. Feel free to move it around. We don’t have seesaw or table obstacles. The tunnel finally gave up in 2025. It tried so hard, but the sun ☀️ was too much. RIP blue tunnel. There are 3 main sections to the yard, plus patio. A couple photos include Sollie, who was about 90 pounds, so you can see the scale of the yard. We have lots of amenities included to make your visit stress-free, plus a few items for purchase as Extras. Hope to "see" you soon! (You won't see us at all. :) ) FENCING: The interior divider fence was destroyed when a tree fell in a storm. We're still dealing with insurance. Those old fence panels are now being used to block off an Oleander bush while we remove it. Oleander is very common in Arizona, but it's toxic so we've chosen to remove it. Very small dogs may be able to fit through this interior fence. The main fence is still secure, and small dog approved! VACCINATIONS: Please double check that your doggie is up to date! 🐶💕 The parvovirus vaccine in particular is super important. The virus can survive in the soil for a year, which would not be fun!

Fully Fenced Yard w/ Pool For Dogs

Fully Fenced
0.02 acres

Hi there! Thank you so much for visiting our Sniffspot and helping make us one of Peoria’s top-rated spots this summer. Over time, we’ve realized that maintaining the pool and property has become much more time-consuming than we ever anticipated. Because of that, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our calendar to future bookings while we honor all visits that have already been reserved. Once our remaining bookings have concluded, we’ll be removing our Sniffspot from the platform. We sincerely appreciate everyone who has supported us, respected our space, and shared so many wonderful memories here. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you continue discovering and enjoying the many great Sniffspots throughout the Valley. Wishing you and your furry friends all the best!

Your Complete Guide to Dog Parks in Phoenix

If you've ever tried Steele Indian School Park's off-leash area in July and immediately realized your mistake, or watched your dog's paws burn on the asphalt at Horizon Park, you know Phoenix dog ownership requires strategy. Between the 115-degree summers, the sprawl that makes finding nearby off-leash dog parks a driving commitment, and the crowds at places like PetSmart Dog Park, it's a lot.

Phoenix has plenty of public spots scattered around, from Steele Indian School Park to Chaparral Park to the Washington Park dog area, but they all come with the same issues. Codes and signs reminding you about vaccination requirements, collars and tags, current tag information. That's why Phoenix dog owners are increasingly booking private Sniffspot yards across Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, and everywhere in between. Fully fenced spaces with actual shade and water features. No dog bite drama, no wondering if that German Shepherd is friendly, just a safe spot that won't cook your dog.

Why Phoenix Dog Owners Love Private Dog Parks

Let's talk about why public off-leash areas don't always cut it here. Your dog's still working on recall? You need solid fencing, not a space where they can bolt into traffic on Camelback Road. It's June and already hitting 110? You need swimming pools and water fountains, not dirt lots baking in the sun. Dog gets anxious around large dogs or aggressive players? Private spots eliminate that entire problem.

Phoenix Sniffspot hosts understand desert dog life. You'll find properties with pools and water features (absolute essentials, not luxuries), covered ramadas and shade structures, and evening availability when it's actually safe to be outside. No stressing about whether dogs are spayed or neutered, no worrying about communicable diseases in standing water. Want to practice training with food or treats? Do it without resource guarding issues from strange dogs.

What Your Phoenix Dog Actually Needs

Phoenix dogs need more than standard off-leash dog parks. They need fully fenced yards because traffic and heat are both dangerous. They need water fountains and pools because dehydration happens fast here. They need proper dog defecation cleanup (because 115-degree dog poop is next-level gross). And they need shade. Like, actual shade, not just a skinny palo verde tree.

Where to Find Dog Parks in Phoenix

With over 300 Sniffspots in the Phoenix area, you've got options everywhere. Central Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise. North Phoenix and Paradise Valley? Yep. South Phoenix and Ahwatukee? Got those too. Even Queen Creek and San Tan Valley if you're out east.

Search by what matters: dog water parks for cooling off, fully fenced yards, agility equipment, small dog-friendly spaces. Find something in your neighborhood instead of driving 40 minutes across the Valley.

Pro Tips for Phoenix Dog Park Visits

Book early morning (before 9am) or evening (after 7pm) slots from May through September. Do not mess around with midday heat. Bring way more water than seems reasonable (for you and your dog), poop bags for dog defecation cleanup, and check that your spot has functioning water fountains. Booties aren't a bad idea for summer pavement. Pack food or treats for training during cooler months.

The Sniffspot advantage? Your booked hour is private. No off-leash dogs running up while owners yell "he's friendly!" No sketchy interactions. No competing for the one shaded spot. Just you, your dog, and a pool they can actually enjoy. Check out the hundreds of private dog parks above and find your new Phoenix favorite.

Phoenix Dog Parks Tips from Dog Owners and Walkers

PETsMART Dog Park at Washington Park in Phoenix, a public dog park. Open daily.

Phoenix dog owners have figured out how to keep their dogs active and happy in a climate that actively works against them. Here's the practical guide.

Phoenix Dog Parks Advice 1: The summer schedule is not optional

Phoenix dog park culture is built around early mornings and late evenings from May through October. Pavement in Phoenix can exceed 170 degrees in summer sun, which burns paw pads in under a minute. The test most veterans use: hold your palm flat on the pavement for five seconds. If you can't, it's not safe for your dog. Before 7 am and after 8 pm are the general summer windows. Everything else belongs to the cooler months.

Phoenix Dog Parks Advice 2: Washington Park is your starting point

It's the most consistently recommended public dog park in Phoenix for good reason: clean, well-managed, thoughtful layout, and reliable water access. If you're new to the city and trying to establish a routine, start here. For reactive dogs or training sessions where you need the park largely to yourselves, Sniffspot listings across Phoenix and Scottsdale give you private alternatives closer to wherever you are.

Phoenix Dog Parks Advice 3: Pack for the desert every single time

Even in winter, Phoenix sun is intense and temperatures can swing 40 degrees between morning and afternoon. Standard kit for any Phoenix park visit: a collapsible bowl, at least a liter of water per dog per hour of activity, and awareness of shade locations before you arrive. Parks that border natural desert terrain also carry a cactus hazard worth knowing about -- cholla (jumping cactus) is a real issue and dogs encounter it more often than their owners expect.

Popular Phoenix Public and Private Dog Parks

Phoenix dog parks require planning around the calendar in ways most cities don't, but within the right windows the city has a solid network of well-equipped off-leash spaces. Some of the best-known Phoenix public dog parks are:

PETsMART Dog Park at Washington Park

Open daily. Consistently rated among the best dog parks in Phoenix, with over 2.5 acres of off-leash space, separate areas for small and large dogs, two water stations, shaded benches, and a clean, well-managed layout. The go-to recommendation for Phoenix newcomers and a reliable choice for regulars who've tried the rest.

Rose Mofford Dog Park

Open daily. Two and a half acres with separate spaces for large and small dogs, shade trees, lighting for early morning and evening visits, chairs, water stations, and parking. One of the longer-established parks in the city and a longtime local favorite with a relaxed vibe.

Steele Indian School Park Dog Park

Open daily. Set within the larger Steele Indian School Park in midtown Phoenix, with separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, ADA-compliant double-gated entries, and chilled drinking fountains. A well-designed, well-maintained option with good access and the bonus of the broader park grounds surrounding it.

Why choose a private dog park in Phoenix over a public one?

Phoenix summers are not ambiguous. From May through October, daytime temperatures regularly exceed 110 degrees, and even morning visits need to wrap up before 8 am to be comfortable for most dogs. The public parks don't disappear in summer, but the window to use them safely gets very narrow. A covered or indoor private space extends your options significantly and keeps your dog's routine from going on full pause for six months.

Phoenix's sprawling layout also means driving across the Valley to reach a good park is a real time cost. Finding a Sniffspot host in your neighborhood changes the math entirely: a short drive to a private yard beats a 30-minute commute on a Wednesday morning when you're working with a reactive dog and need a controlled, consistent environment.

Frequently asked questions about Phoenix dog parks

Are there dog parks in Phoenix for reactive dogs?

Yes! Phoenix has 358 private dog parks specifically designed for reactive, anxious, or dog-selective pets. Unlike public dog parks where unexpected encounters can trigger your reactive dog, Sniffspot offers completely private bookings. That means only you and your dogs will be there. We enforce 30-minute buffers between visits so you won't run into other park users when arriving or leaving. This makes Phoenix Sniffspots perfect for reactive dogs who need safe off-leash exercise.

How many private dog parks are in Phoenix?

Phoenix has 358 private Sniffspot locations ranging from cozy backyard spaces to expansive properties spanning 2.4+ acres. You'll find fully fenced dog parks, small dog parks, and dog water parks options, each offering complete privacy during your reserved time. Browse listings to compare sizes, amenities, fencing, and reviews from other Phoenix dog owners.

Are Phoenix dog parks friendly for all dog types?

Absolutely! Phoenix Sniffspot locations work for every type of dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer away from large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space to run, and yes, reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. Because bookings are completely private, you can customize the experience to your dog's specific needs—whether that's careful puppy introductions or stress-free exercise for nervous dogs.

Will there be other dogs at Phoenix dog parks?

No, that's what makes Sniffspot different from public dog parks! We only allow one booking at a time, and host dogs must be kept away during your visit. When you book a Phoenix dog park, you have the entire space to yourself (plus any dog-owning friends you invite). This privacy is crucial for reactive dogs, puppies in training, or any dog who needs space from other animals.

What makes Phoenix dog parks safe for anxious dogs?

Phoenix Sniffspot locations provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. There are no aggressive dogs, no inattentive owners, and no unexpected encounters that could traumatize anxious or fearful dogs. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars, with many highlighting how safe their reactive or anxious dogs felt.

Can puppies use Phoenix dog parks?

Absolutely! Phoenix dog parks are ideal for puppy socialization because they provide controlled, distraction-free environments. Puppies can practice recall, build confidence, and explore without the overwhelming chaos of public dog parks. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting any Phoenix Sniffspot.

Are Phoenix dog parks good for small dogs?

Yes! Many Phoenix Sniffspot hosts mark their spaces as "small dog friendly," meaning they're appropriately sized for toy breeds and small dogs. Unlike public dog parks where small dogs risk being overwhelmed or injured by larger breeds, Phoenix private bookings give your small dog the entire space to themselves. Look for secure fencing with minimal gaps and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

What are the requirements for Phoenix dog parks?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. Each Phoenix host may have additional requirements listed on their booking page. Most welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit traditional public dog parks.
