River Lily Farm

Unfenced
85 acres

Our farm is open fields, tons of trees to play hide and seek in, and lots of riverfront area for dogs to swim. There are ungroomed “walking trails” that go around the entire property. Center of property tends to be wet. My personal dogs will remain inside the house while you are here. Bring your own poop bags please. Dogs with good recall are allowed off leash, at your own risk, please. We love all breeds of dogs with every quirk and ability. We respect that all dogs have different temperaments; all dogs are welcome, no matter how they feel towards strangers or other animals. We will do our 100% best to ensure no person or domestic animal will bother you on your adventure here. We work in animal rescue and commit that all proceeds will go towards continuing to help abandoned, abused, and neglected pets. Thank you for enjoying our peaceful space. Bring your boots and bug spray! :)

55Amber warned me that the path was overgrown, but my dogs loved it! The butterflies and other bugs were happy too! I snapped a pic of a beautiful yellow garden spider but I won't post here in case other Sniffspotters get creeped out lol. The dogs raced around until the hot sun got to be too much for them, but they cooled off at the nearby boat launch. Thanks for having us back!

55We were looking for a safe spot to walk our reactive dog. We really enjoyed walking around and sniffing, it was lovely! If you come remember that ticks love grassy areas. We were totally expecting them and we did a thorough check at the end of our walk. Our dog really enjoyed finding some pheasant in the fields too! The property was beautiful!

55I took my two dogs for the first time on what couldn't have been a more perfect fall day. A nice little sign greeted us when we pulled in. There was also a bowl of water, poop bags, toys and doggy treats. The hand drawn map of the property was perfect. Although the spot is technically unfenced, the boundaries are clear. I found it easy to redirect my youngest when he started to get curious as to what lay beyond the property. I left their long leads on just in case I needed to grab them. My dogs were exhausted after 30 mins of sniffing and jumping through the tall grass and shrubs. We didn't encounter anything unsafe. My pups did startle some kind of game bird out of the brush and we saw a hole that a critter probably dug oh and a bees/wasp nest, but nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, it made it more fun! We will definitely be back! Thank you for having us!

55A friend and I took our two puppies for a play date here. The puppies had a great time walking the trails and chasing balls in the field together. In the future, we would love to see a fully fenced in area to allow puppies to run around without leashes. Otherwise, this was a well-maintained property with a lot of places to roam, and trails to follow ~ We will definitely be back! Thank you 😊

Frequently asked questions about Pittsfield dog hiking trails

What amenities do Pittsfield dog hiking trails typically include?

Pittsfield dog hiking trails feature amenities designed for natural exploration and varied terrain: wooded trails, open meadows, and varied natural terrain, secure fencing options, water stations, waste disposal, and often extras like toys, shade structures, or parking. Unlike public parks with generic setups, Pittsfield hosts customize their spaces. Browse 11 listings to compare—from bare essentials to luxury amenities perfect for your dog's needs.

How much does it cost to use Pittsfield dog hiking trails?

Sniffspot runs on a membership model with monthly and annual plans that include credits toward Pittsfield dog park bookings. Members get discounted rates at participating Pittsfield spots, and new users can start with a 7-day free trial. There are no surprise booking fee. Your credits cover the reservation. Browse Pittsfield dog hiking trails listings to see individual spot pricing, and check your membership dashboard to see how many credits you have available.

How clean are private dog hiking trails in Pittsfield compared to public parks?

Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in Pittsfield see dozens of dogs daily with sporadic city maintenance. Private dog hiking trails have dedicated hosts who maintain their own spaces—cleanliness directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many Pittsfield hosts provide fresh poop bags, sanitized water stations, and regular grounds cleaning. With only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal.

Can I book Pittsfield dog hiking trails on short notice?

Usually yes! Many Pittsfield dog hiking trails offer same-day or next-day availability with instant booking. Unlike public parks that might be crowded unpredictably, Pittsfield private dog hiking trails let you reserve exactly when needed: early morning before work, midday breaks, evening exercise. Real-time availability shows on each listing—perfect for last-minute training or when routines get disrupted.

What's the best time to visit dog hiking trails in Pittsfield?

Any time works since bookings are private! Unlike public dog parks in Pittsfield that are crowded during peak hours (mornings, evenings, weekends), you don't worry about timing. Book when it fits YOUR schedule—midday when it's quiet, dawn for cool weather, late evening for convenience. Many Pittsfield dog hiking trails have lighting for after-dark visits. This flexibility is perfect for shift workers or dogs with special needs.

Do Pittsfield dog hiking trails allow multiple dogs?

Yes! Most Pittsfield dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings), but generally you can bring your whole pack. This is perfect for multi-dog households in Pittsfield where some dogs are selective—they can play together privately without outside interference. Great for sibling bonding or families with mixed ages/temperaments.

Can I use Pittsfield dog hiking trails for special events?

Many Pittsfield dog hiking trails welcome doggy birthday parties, training workshops, breed meetups, or group playdates. Private bookings mean your event won't be interrupted. Coordinate with Pittsfield hosts about capacity, amenities (parking, shade, water), and any restrictions. Some even provide party extras. Check individual Pittsfield dog hiking trail listings for event policies.

How do Pittsfield dog hiking trails accommodate dogs with special needs?

Pittsfield dog hiking trails are excellent for special needs dogs because you can filter for specific requirements: flat terrain for mobility issues, secure fencing for blind/deaf dogs, quiet locations for anxious dogs, small spaces for seniors, or maximum privacy for reactive dogs. Read reviews from other Pittsfield special-needs dog owners, and contact hosts with questions. The private setting means you can adapt the experience to your dog's unique requirements.
