Beautiful pool and nice shaded patio! Gating is secure and we never heard or saw any other dogs barking, so perfect for reactive/aggressive dogs! Host is amazing as well! She left a water bowel and towels for us. We will definitely be back!

I used your sniffspot app for the first time last week. I needed an enclosed yard that was neutral to both dogs, that was safe to introduce my dog to a dog friend. A dog park was not what I wanted. This was the perfect experience. I thank the family for allowing us to use their yard for the hour. Thank you for the water dishes you provided for the dogs.

nice neighborhood, spacious yard area, fenced in with mesh double panels for small dogs, moderately clean, on the other side of the fence is a golf course and a golf ball flew into the yard few times, can’t really prevent that but if those hit my tiny dogs in the head it would injure them. I’d recommend bringing your own bowl for water & mosquito spray!

It seems the dog poop situation is no longer existent - yay! Spacious and clean, with a new view to the golf course. Entrance was easy to find and we had privacy to ourselves. Sadie loved it and we will definitely visit again!

Fully fenced and super clean backyard. There were two tiny dogs barking two houses over but my dog didn't care or pay attention to them. Will be taking our doggo back again. Thank you Dewayne!

This was ideal! I met a friend and her dog here, and the two dogs played while we sat and visited. Quiet, spacious, lots for the dogs to sniff and explore, and plenty of wide open space for them to chase and run as hard as they wanted. Thank you Dwayne!

Fantastic yard, completely secure and well maintained! Super communicative and patient host (because I always have a bunch of questions lol). We will definitely put this sniffspot in the rotation!

Peaceful, quite. Overlooking a beautiful golf course. We did see another dog a few houses down, but it was a very small dog. The yard was bigger than I expected and had a great stretch of land for playing fetch! Watson was exhausted! 🤗 My favorite part is that it’s SO CLOSE to us! I would recommend to a friend.

While this wasn’t a problem for my dog, there were two smaller Pomeranians two houses down that could be seen and heard from the backyard. They stopped barking after about 15 minutes and left out of sight.

Lots of chairs outside to sit. Water bowl was available but I would bring your own. There was a football and a broken dog toy. My puppy made us of. Over all good spot

Super clean and spacious!! Very quiet on a Sat morning. The neighbor has a small dog that keeps distance. There is a golf course behind the house with not a lot of people. I stayed for 45 minutes and I saw 3 people that were maybe 100 feet away from me. My dogs aren't reactive, but even then, I thought that this was a really nice spot for my dogs because of the calm environment.

I've been to almost every sniff spot in the Houston area, my dog enjoyed this one the most! So much room to run around and plenty of shade. Super clean. Definitely would book again.

This yard was large and shady in the morning when we visited, backs up to a golf course. Nice, quiet neighborhood.

It’s a very nice yard. Nothing dangerous for dogs to get into and a lot of space to run around. The owner was nice and communicative as well. My pup Lumii and I had a very good time though we left a little early because he got tired faster than I anticipated but we will be coming back again.

My pups and I loved this place!! They were having such a blast running around and playing with each other. Jonathan and Michelle were extremely nice and very welcoming. The place was clean and just as beautiful and big as in the picture! I will definitely be coming back with my pack of babies 💞

Beautiful large field that’s great for fetch. We went to field 3, because my dog can be anxious. The host said we could use any of the 3 large fields. Wow. By the time we left my dog was completely exhausted. We will definitely be back.
They had a bench in the field for the doggie parents, and a water bowl. I think there was also a hose, but we didn’t use it. It was only around 28 min from Memorial area, which is pretty awesome.
I would recommend bug spray.
For people with anxious dogs, there were a few adorable cats when we first pulled up.
Also, you can hear dogs in fields 1 and 2 as you walk past to field 3. My dog is anxious, but as long as I know what to expect, there’s usually not an issue. Great experience overall.
What other types of private dog parks are available?
Dog water parks
Many hosts have added water features like pools and/or are nearby lakes or rivers.
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Richmond area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 108 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 26 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
