Welcome to Redwood Acre Ranch! Here we offer a dog park for your pup on a local farm. Our farm animals are secured behind a fenced area but close enough for your pup’s enrichment. The are is fully fenced, with a pooper scooper, trash can and water bowl. We have 4 resident dogs that love exploring the scents left behind by visiting dogs. Two of them work as herding dogs, one is a paraplegic chihuahua (which really has no farm job) and the last one is a livestock guardian who does take her job very seriously. Fortunately, your booking will give us enough time to have the dogs secured before visitors. The swimming pool is for dog use only. Parking on the street only-please do not park anywhere on the property or driveway. We need that area clear for people coming and going. In addition, spots on the property is reserved for the farm and house members. Thank you 🙏

Doggy Park at a Farm

Our farm is 30 acres big. About 10 of those are fenced and available to host the dogs. There is plenty of shade (large oak trees), a canal and two ponds. We also offer doggy day care and boarding (short and long term).

Summer home, some ain't. Get it? Well, your dog gets my jokes. I have no dog of my own now but for an hour it will be nice. Dogs love to run up that rock wall and be 12 feet above you and patrol the fence. Birds will taunt them from the sky in that never-ending war and dogs are going to beg forgiveness rather than ask permission to jump in the pool but that is to be expected. The front is not fenced in but there is a lead adjusted to a few feet before the sidewalk.

The full size of the property is 11.5 acres, but the area for the dogs to explore is restricted to the fields in front of, on the side of, and behind the barn (so approx 3 acres). There is a sand riding arena that is great for ball throwing or bring a remote control car and run it for your dogs (I used to do this and my dogs had the absolute best time!). There are a few balls on the property for guest use. There are horses on the property, and no chasing of the horses - for the safety of both horses and dogs - will be tolerated. This property is also best for dogs that have good recall, as there is occasional wildlife that passes through. In the winter months, depending on rainfall, there is a seasonal creek and seasonal ponds that offer additional fun and exploration for dogs.
