Secluded Backyard at the Historic Fleur de Lys

Fully Fenced
0.25 acres

Tucked behind one of St. Louis’s most magical historic estates, this is a rare backyard where your dog can really open up and run. There’s enough open ground for high-speed zoomies, plus the privacy of being set back from the street and shielded by the property itself. It’s quiet, secluded, and feels a world away from the city, even though you’re right in the middle of it. The Fleur de Lys is a piece of St. Louis history, and the backyard carries that same character: mature landscaping, room to roam, and a sense of stepping into somewhere special. Whether your pup wants to sprint full-out or just sniff around at their own pace, there’s space for it. About the host Hi, I’m Brennan. I’m the caretaker for the Fleur de Lys and live on the third floor with my son while the property is on the market. Hosting Sniffspot guests is a way for us to save toward our next move when it sells, and honestly, it’s a joy. Dog people are my favorite people. I haven’t had a dog of my own since mine passed from cancer five years ago. Losing him was hard, and I haven’t been in a season of life where I could give a dog the kind of dedication they deserve. So getting to spend time around other people’s pups, even briefly, means a lot. Bonus: licensed massage for your dog (and you!) I’m also a licensed massage therapist, and I offer massage for dogs as an add-on. Honestly, I love working on pups even more than I do humans, whether it’s an older dog with stiff joints, a working dog who needs to decompress, or just a goodboy who deserves to be pampered. Ask me about it when you book.

Compton Heights Private Dog Park In St. Louis

Fully Fenced
1 acre

Sniff Through History at Trabert Manor Welcome to Trabert Manor, a magnificent 1890s Beaux-Arts estate tucked into the historic Compton Heights neighborhood. This fully fenced one-acre lawnscape offers pups a safe and spacious place to roam, zoom, sniff, and explore beneath the elegant architecture and mature trees of one of the city’s most beautiful historic districts. What truly makes this spot special, however, isn’t just the setting — it’s the incredible community of dogs and dog lovers who visit. Over time we’ve welcomed the most delightful parade of pups: joyful zoomers, thoughtful sniffers, gentle seniors, curious puppies, and the occasional dramatic stick-collector. Their humans are just as wonderful — kind, respectful, and clearly devoted to their four-legged companions. We’re grateful for each of you who helps make this space feel so welcoming. Your pup will find plenty of room to roam, a polished lawn perfect for running or rolling, and a calm, upscale environment where dogs can simply be dogs. We provide water, toys, and clean-up supplies so you can relax and enjoy the visit. Reservations are kept intentionally spacious and peaceful, allowing every dog the time to explore without feeling rushed. Before or after your visit, we warmly encourage you to take a stroll through the beautiful tree-lined streets of Compton Heights. The historic homes, gardens, and views of nearby Compton Hill Reservoir Park make for a lovely walk with your pup. Thank you to all the wonderful dogs and devoted owners who have made Trabert Manor such a joyful place for wagging tails and happy memories. We look forward to welcoming you and your four-legged friend. — Trabert Manor

K9 Corner STL - Private Dog Run in Webster Groves

Fully Fenced
0.05 acres

This is a privately owned empty residential lot (not a backyard) however there is a neighbor next to the property with a driveway in between. Property is a “pie shape” approximately 2,000 sqft. Fenced section is approximately 130’L with one end at 30’W and the other end at 6’. Entrance is at the corner of Atalanta Avenue and Glen Road. Street parking is on Glen Road (long fence side). The city does not allow signs (see photos for more clarification). This is a residential neighborhood; you will most likely see other people and dogs during your visit but not in the park with you. This is a self regulated private dog park / dog run similar to a regular dog park. There is not water on site however a bowl will be left on site (typically inside the toy box to keep it clean). A pet waste station is available along with a “used” poop bag bucket, trash receptacle, and some dog toys. Please remember to clean up after your dogs, put away toys, and throw away trash. Pesticide free - consider bringing bug spray. To keep moles away, mole spikes that vibrate in the ground are in use and you can hear a buzzing noise. The sand pit / tire area is for digging - please try to keep all digging isolated to the designated area only and try to fill in any holes dug by your dog outside of the pit area. Sun sail is up during spring/summer months only - that’s what the poles are for - no climbing please. Patio umbrellas can be lifted up (use crank) during your visit and MUST BE RETRACTED and use the secure strap at the end of your visit (please use common sense and do not put the umbrellas up if it’s super windy). There is a 5 dog max. We prefer no more than 3 humans to 1 dog; please use the “extra feature” for more visitors. Dogs should NEVER be left unattended. Please note. This park is for dogs to enjoy. This park is NOT a playground for kids/adults. The obstacles, agility equipment, and toys are for the dogs. Humans should not be climbing on the equipment or mis-using the toys. The neighbor does not want toys or tennis balls hitting their vehicles. If we see this type of behavior or rules not being followed, you will potentially be banned from future reservations. *Please understand this is mostly a self-regulated dog run/park. You MUST cleanup after your dog. However sometimes poop gets missed and I give everyone the benefit of the doubt it’s not done intentional. We want all visitors to have a great experience at K9 Corner.* **This spot is not a business to make money for profit. All proceeds are considered donation for upkeep of the dog run, lawn maintenance, dog toys, etc. If you have questions/comments/concerns, please text 314-384-2279.**

Your Complete Guide to Dog Parks in St. Louis

Ever showed up to Tilles Park's off-leash area on a Saturday and realized half of West County had the exact same idea? Or tried Willmore Park when it's 95 degrees with St. Louis humidity that makes you question all your life choices? St. Louis dog owners are dealing with specific challenges. The weather's absolutely unhinged (tornado warnings one hour, perfect the next), public off-leash dog parks get swamped on decent days, and finding a spot that isn't a dust bowl in summer or a frozen tundra in winter feels like striking gold.

St. Louis has public spots scattered around—Tilles Park, Willmore Park, Ivory Crockett Bark Park, Brentwood Dog Park, Shaw Park in Clayton—but let's be honest about what that means. Crowded fenced-in areas, codes and signs everywhere about vaccination requirements, collars and tags, current tag information, and water stations that work inconsistently at best. Dog owners from The Hill to Soulard to Webster Groves are bailing on the public park gamble. They're booking private Sniffspot yards where their dog isn't navigating Cardinals game day crowds or dodging aggressive dogs whose owners swear "he's never done this!" No dog bite drama, no weather disasters, just dependable fenced-in land.

Why St. Louis Dog Owners Love Private Dog Parks

Public off-leash areas here come with asterisks. Dog's recall is questionable? You need solid fencing, not hoping they won't chase something toward Kingshighway. It's August with that oppressive Midwest humidity? Water fountains and shade aren't optional. Dog gets reactive around large dogs or loses it in chaotic play areas during Forest Park events? Private bookings solve that completely.

St. Louis Sniffspot hosts get Gateway City living. Properties with actual shade (critical for summer), agility equipment for high-energy breeds, drainage that works when storms dump rain in ten minutes, functioning water stations year-round. Nobody's verifying if other dogs are spayed or neutered. No concerns about communicable diseases in overcrowded spaces. Training with food or treats? Way easier without toasted ravioli trucks as distractions.

What Your St. Louis Dog Actually Needs

St. Louis dogs need more than standard off-leash dog parks. Fully fenced yards that handle weather extremes without becoming swamps or ice rinks. Water stations that work during brutal summer months. Proper waste stations and bag stations for dog defecation cleanup. Walking areas that drain properly because summer storms here are intense. Shade coverage for those 90-degree days, wind protection for January cold snaps.

Pro Tips for St. Louis Dog Park Visits

Check weather constantly because St. Louis will absolutely blindside you with storms. Bring excessive water (humidity dehydrates dogs fast), poop bags for waste stations, maybe bug spray during summer. Spring and fall are perfect for longer sessions. Book covered spots if rain's forecast. Food or treats for training? Pack them.

The Sniffspot difference: your reservation is totally private. No off-leash dogs while owners are distracted at Forest Park. No navigating St. Louis dog park hierarchies. No driving to Tilles only to find it's mobbed or closed for events. Just reliable space where your dog can run without weather chaos or Cardinals traffic. Frequently asked questions about St. Louis dog parks

Are private dog parks better than public dog parks in St. Louis?

Yes, private dog parks in St. Louis eliminate the major risks of public facilities: unpredictable dog encounters, inattentive owners, disease transmission, and chaotic environments. With Sniffspot's 446 private locations in St. Louis, you get complete privacy during your booking, professionally maintained spaces, and flexible scheduling. No more worrying about aggressive dogs or unsafe conditions. Luanne's Backyard In Webster Groves and other highly-rated St. Louis locations consistently receive 5-star reviews for safety and cleanliness.

Are Sniffspot dog parks in St. Louis safe for all dog types?

Absolutely! St. Louis Sniffspot locations welcome puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel overwhelmed at public parks, high-energy dogs needing room to run, and reactive dogs requiring privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets exactly the environment they need with no compromises. Whether your dog is friendly, selective, anxious, or anywhere in between, St. Louis has 446 options to match their temperament.

When can puppies start visiting dog parks in St. Louis?

Puppies can visit St. Louis Sniffspot locations as soon as they have age-appropriate vaccinations (typically around 8-10 weeks with their first round of shots). Unlike public dog parks where you'd wait until puppies are fully vaccinated at 16+ weeks, Sniffspot's private bookings eliminate disease risk from unknown dogs. This early, safe socialization in St. Louis helps prevent fear and reactivity issues later. Many St. Louis trainers specifically use Sniffspot for puppy development.

How do I find private dog parks near me in St. Louis?

Browse St. Louis's 446 private dog parks on Sniffspot by entering your zip code or neighborhood. Filter by distance (within 5, 10, or 25 miles), then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities like fully fenced dog parks or small dog parks. Each St. Louis listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Luanne's Backyard In Webster Groves is particularly popular among St. Louis dog owners.

Are St. Louis dog parks good for small dogs?

Yes! Many St. Louis Sniffspot hosts specifically mark their spaces as "small dog friendly," meaning they're sized appropriately for toy breeds and small dogs. Unlike public dog parks where small dogs can be intimidated or injured by larger dogs, St. Louis private bookings give your small dog the entire space. Filter for secure fencing with no gaps, smaller yard sizes, and hosts who cater to petite pups. Some St. Louis dog park locations even have separate small dog areas.

What's the difference between Sniffspot and public dog parks in St. Louis?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in St. Louis mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. You can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 446 St. Louis locations give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, you get amenities like fully fenced dog parks, small dog parks, and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Do St. Louis dog parks allow senior dogs?

Yes! St. Louis Sniffspot locations are excellent for senior dogs who need gentle exercise without the stress of public dog parks. Older dogs can explore at their own pace, rest when needed, and avoid being knocked over by rambunctious dogs. Look for St. Louis spots with flat terrain, shaded areas, easy access, and smaller sizes if your senior has limited mobility. The privacy means your older dog can enjoy off-leash time safely and comfortably.

Can I rent a private dog park in St. Louis by the hour?

Yes! All 446 Sniffspot locations in St. Louis are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer if needed. Book instantly through the platform, arrive during your time slot, and have the entire space to yourself. Many St. Louis dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise for their dogs.
