Joanne's 100 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Vicksburg

Fully Fenced
100 acres

Has your dog become a couch potato? Bring it on out for some good conditioning. Recommended for hunting/sporting dogs and large dogs, we have 100+ acres fenced in with 10' tall fence. Owner will need to walk with their dog (off leash of course) since sight of your dog is limited. The property includes a creek that runs across the front of the property, crop fields (currently soybeans), wooded areas, wetland, and some gentle hills. You can walk the perimeter of the fence and down many trails. It takes me about 40 minutes to walk the front part of the perimeter I cover with my dogs. There is a pond but due to the heat, it is currently covered in algae. Your dog will have access to the creek for drinking, swimming, and playing in. There are a few plastic Adirondack chairs set out for resting. Depending on the time of day, you may hear and/or see my dogs and our rental house occupants dogs. There will be no other dogs inside the fenced area when you visit. This is also in a farming area, so you may hear livestock from neighboring farms. I cannot guarantee that your dog will be clean or stick-tight free when leaving but they will have fun and be tired. This is a great spot for conditioning your upland bird dog before hunting season. No shooting or hunting on our property.

Crystal's 3 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Mishawaka

Partially Fenced
3 acres

For quite some time now, my husband has been restoring this land as a nature preserve, bringing back shortgrass and tallgrass prairie, along with a small pond and wetland area. It’s been a labor of love—years of removing invasive species and re-establishing native plants. The wildflowers and grasses are thriving, with peak blooms throughout June, July, and August. By September, many of the plants begin setting seed, which is still a beautiful and important part of the natural prairie cycle. The designated trail offers a tidy, easy walk through the nature area. If your dog chooses to roam off trail, they’re stepping into a more immersive slice of Midwest prairie. With that experience can come sticker plants, burrs, mud, uneven ground, and the occasional wet area. If you want to keep your pup clean and sticker-free, we recommend staying on the trail.… because nature! Thank you for allowing us to share this special place with you and for giving your dog a place to explore, enjoy nature, and stretch their legs. Plenty of open space to roam surrounded by a treeline. Also you can use the firepit and seating. There is a large grassy plot, then you can walk a trail on either side of the pond, then there is a large prairie spot in back of pond.

55The spot was absolutely beautiful and my dogs thoroughly enjoyed having a chance to play on the water. Neither of my dogs have shown interest in swimming before but both were quite excited to explore the water and eventually jumped in. Pamela was very quick to respond to all of my questions and was very kind. I appreciated her insights and advice on how to make our visit as wonderful as possible. For other dog owners, one of my dogs absolutely loves other dogs and will go to absurd lengths to meet them. He saw a dog a couple of houses down and swam around the fence to try and go say hello. Thankfully he came back fairly easily. If the water is low, it is fairly easy for a dog to get out at the edge of the water. My other one stayed perfectly fine and I had no concerns that she'd try to leave (and she's the one I worry about usually). The description of the spot makes this clear so I mostly want to echo that warning for some dogs. I'd still bring my dogs back and maybe just keep my one who ran on a 30' long biothane leash instead of letting him totally free next time.

Frequently asked questions about Sturgis dog water parks

Why are private dog water parks better than public dog parks in Sturgis?

Private dog water parks in Sturgis eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Sturgis's 44 private dog water parks offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Sturgis dog water parks compared to public dog parks?

Sturgis dog water parks are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Sturgis dog water parks eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Sturgis dog water parks safe for reactive dogs?

Sturgis owners of reactive dogs choose dog water parks because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy swimming and water play while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Sturgis reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Sturgis dog water parks?

Yes! Sturgis dog water parks provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a facility featuring pools, splash pads, or water play areas specifically designed for dogs to swim and cool off at their own pace without stress. Many Sturgis dog water parks offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Sturgis dog water parks good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Sturgis dog water parks because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Sturgis avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog water parks eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Sturgis dog water parks work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Sturgis dog water parks because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Sturgis dog water parks with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Sturgis dog owners say about dog water parks?
