Charlotte's Run - 6 Fenced Acres!

Enjoy time at Charlotte's Run, affectionately called the (Foster) Puppy Farm, where many of the dogs rescued by our 501(c)3 animal welfare nonprofit, Mr. Bones & Co., rehabilitate and decompress before finding forever homes. Booking this Sniffspot helps us save lives and continue our rescue work. Enjoy the wooded trails, gentle rolling fields, swimmable pond and Catskill Mountain views. We encourage and welcome reactive dogs who need the place to themselves, and their humans who love them. Our farm is a safe place for everybody, and every dog. Acre Pond Homestead — 14-Acre Woodland, Meadow, & Swimming Pond Dog Retreat

🌿🐾 Welcome to Acre Pond Homestead — a private 14-acre retreat where you and your dog(s) can get away from it all, stretch your legs, and enjoy the outdoors together! 🚗 Private Parking: At the end of the driveway on the left as soon as you pull in. 🐾 14 private acres to explore that includes: 💦 1-acre swimming pond 🌾 3 acres of open field 🌳 8-acre forested exploration area 🌲 1-mile marked walking trail through the woods 🐾 Roam Zones: Any of the grassy or wooded areas. There’s a cleared trail through the woods that is marked with green reflective arrows beginning at the back corner of the pond. Our property line is marked by a stone wall, so as long as you stay on our side of the wall, you’re good to go. 🪨🌿 🚫 No-Roam Zones: While exploring, please keep curious noses away from the tasty snacks in the garden 🥕 and the area immediately around the house. 🏡 🎾 Don’t forget to grab the Chuckit! or any other essentials you may need from our Borrow Bin in the Parking Area. Welcome to The Vista, a 30-acre outdoor space, with 15 acres for dogs and owners to enjoy. The area includes three main sections: an open field, a pond, and hiking trails. While there are no visible animals or pets on the higher levels, neighbor dogs may occasionally be visible at a distance from the lower areas. Wildlife is active and may cross your path—please avoid interaction when possible. This is an unfenced, off-leash location, and we cannot be held liable for dogs who are escape artists! Our pond spans 20 feet across and over 20 feet deep, with an almost immediate drop-off when stepping in. The pond is spring-fed and stocked, so feel free to swim, fish, or float during your visit (anytime between June and November). There is no electricity or formal structure, but you are welcome to set up a tent or umbrella for shade. This is a carry in–carry out site, so please leave no trace behind, including your trash. For twice the fun with your furry friend, consider upgrading to camp overnight! A porta potty is onsite, but there is no water or electricity available. Please note that security video surveillance is in place for safety. **A kennel club uses the lower field on Wednesday nights and Saturdays 10-5. There WILL be dogs within view, at a distance, during these times**

***STORM UPDATE 7/12/26**** Over 100 trees fell on 07/02/2026 during the Chatham storm. We will be working hard to clear the paths or make new ones. This may take awhile. No chainsaws will be operating when dogs are booked, but there may be a tractor dragging some trees around. Thank you for your patience. 💕🐾💕 Bottomless Smells. 100 acre farm. Lots of space for your doggos and you to roam. It is a rustic magical place. Parking is far from the street down a gravel driveway. Safe for your pup and you to get out of the car. You can park anywhere. If you feel comfortable you can drive down to the lower field to get even further away from the road. I live down the street while I am fixing up the old house. So, there maybe someone at work in the house. Once you park, the best walking is down to the creek. Go to the lower field and look for the opening in the woods. 150yards from field is the creek. On a hot day, wear good creek shoes and walk up and down creek. If you cross the creek there is a great trail that circles around to the Powerline. Warnings: 1. there are lots of deer! 2. There are old barns. Do Not enter any of the buildings! They are very dangerous!!!! I have rescued reactive dogs. I want to create a safe space for your dogs and you to enjoy this great property.

There is a small stream that runs through the woods for you and your pup to enjoy! Multiple wildlife roam the property! If possible, I like to meet new guests first just to give them a lay of the land! I’ll provide you with a Google image of the property so you know the boundary lines! I also print out a list of local dog friendly eateries as well as other small cafes and shops locally! I provide a garden hose to rinse your pup off if they get a little muddy! 60 acres of forest and trails on a woodland preserve. Past our property is the Appalachian Trail. Canopy shade when there are leaves. There are little streams, logs, rocks and all sort of areas for digging, running, jumping and sniffing. There is an upper trail and a lower trail and they both loop together. Up the trail to the right is a deck with chair and table and supplies. You can watch your dog in all directions from this vantage point as they run free and smell all the smells of a forest.
