4th Mesa 7 acre Private Dog Park In Bailey

Fully Fenced
7 acres

10% of profits donated to local SPCA monthly. 7 acres of fenced forest to play on including a hiking trail for the pet owners! There is a switch back trail through the middle of the property marked by tree branches/logs and pink/green flags. Further trail description below the instructions. Best way to find the trail from the gate is to either follow the fence line up to the right all the way to the top of the property or walk straight up the gulley until you see the first green flag. The green flags mark the beginning and end of each switchback. There are 29 rows of switchbacks. Between the green flags there are pink flags to guide you with branches and logs to mark the left and right of each trail. There are a few places where the trail merges which is marked by 2 yellow flags. The last (or first depending on the ascent or descent chosen) trail row has yellow flags that have been colored pink (see pictures at the very end of the collage). It is about a 4 mile round trip hike if you follow the switch backs up then down (or vice versa). For you hiking purists the switchback rows are not perfectly parallel. This was a 3 year manual effort. The more ya’ll hike it the more visible it will be.

Private dog park

Angela's Mountain Paradise

Unfenced
1 acre

Gorgeous, peaceful mountain property. One acre of diverse playing areas. There is a small stream to play in, grass, hills, boulders. Lots of wildlife to watch and listen to. The lot is UNfenced, so it is recommended to stay close to your dog while they become familiar with the property. Our dogs will always be inside with shades drawn, but it is a possibility you might hear them bark periodically. There is one neighbor up above on the steep hill that has a dog, that dog is fenced in his yard. The other two neighbors are vacant, so it is a very quiet, very private space :) Reach out with any other questions you may have!

Frequently asked questions about Vail small dog parks

Why are private small dog parks better than public dog parks in Vail?

Private small dog parks in Vail eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Vail's 9 private small dog parks offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Vail small dog parks compared to public dog parks?

Vail small dog parks are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Vail small dog parks eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Vail small dog parks safe for reactive dogs?

Vail owners of reactive dogs choose small dog parks because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy appropriately-sized exercise while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Vail reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Vail small dog parks?

Yes! Vail small dog parks provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a space specifically sized and designed for small breeds under 25-30 pounds at their own pace without stress. Many Vail small dog parks offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Vail small dog parks good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Vail small dog parks because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Vail avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—small dog parks eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Vail small dog parks work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Vail small dog parks because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Vail small dog parks with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Vail dog owners say about small dog parks?

Reviews of Vail small dog parks consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite 4th Mesa 7 acre Private Dog Park In Bailey is particularly praised in Vail. Read reviews to see real experiences from Vail dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are Vail small dog parks?

Vail hosts maintain their own small dog parks and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many Vail hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse Vail small dog park listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
