The entire room is reserved exclusively for you and the dogs in your booking, no other dogs or customers will share it. Getting to the playroom: Entry is through our pet-friendly retail store, so you may see or hear other dogs and people on your way in and out. Accessibility note: Waffles Ranch includes an upper grassy area with shade and seating, accessible by stairs. Dogs with mobility limitations or joint issues may prefer to remain in the lower pasture. Private 2,400 sq ft fully fenced backyard in Louisville with mature trees, lots of shade, and direct access from the back gate to miles of on-leash trails and open space. This is a quiet, natural Colorado backyard with room for dogs to sniff, explore, play, and decompress away from a busy public dog park. The yard has a mix of dirt, mulch, mature landscaping, trees, and a large deck for humans to relax while dogs enjoy the space. One of the best features is the south-facing back gate, which opens directly to the public trail system. You can enjoy private yard time first, then leash up and head straight out for a longer walk without getting back in the car. The yard is fully fenced at approximately 6 feet, with mostly wood privacy fencing and a wood-framed wire section along the open-space side. Because the rear fence is partially see-through, you may occasionally see or hear walkers, cyclists, dogs, or wildlife on the trail. The area is generally quiet and trail traffic is usually light, depending on the time of day. My resident dog will remain inside the house during your visit and will not share the yard with guests, although she may occasionally be heard from inside. Street parking is available in front of the property and throughout the neighborhood. Guests enter through the west-side gate and may leave through the same gate or use the back gate for direct trail access.

There are some Russian Olive Trees on the South side of the Park that provide wonderful shade, as well as a cottonwood near the North side, providing even more shade. REACTION NOTICE: I share a 300-foot fence line with the neighbor to the west and have installed privacy screening to minimize distractions. The neighbor has dozens of loose chickens, and the dogs do not bother them. Dogs may bark with curiosity, which is normal and okay, but they often stop once they realize the chickens do not react. Also, the neighbor has a friendly dog that infrequently, though on random occasion has access to this shared fence line. Please consider this if your dog is highly reactive to other dogs.

This spot is extremely quiet and peaceful! If you’re looking for a tranquil, mountain, nature-filled spot, this is it. Check out the historic cabin! There is also a table, chairs, and an outlet if you would like to work remote while here. This spot is inclusive and safe for marginalized people, including queer, trans, and BIPOC folks! This spot does have physical access challenges for people with disabilities - please message me for more information if needed. Some important notes about the spot: -Access is on a dirt road. High clearance is not needed but in winter, you should have winter tires / 4wd / AWD or backup chains. -You will probably not have cell service here. I will provide the WiFi info before you arrive. I also recommend downloading Google Maps for offline use. -Terrain is uneven, please watch your step. -There are dog toys throughout the yard. -The silver trash can is for dog poop. You will find dog bags on the fence next to it. -You can’t see any other houses from the fenced area. -You may encounter wildlife (moose, deer, etc)… typically outside of the fence but possible they could jump inside. -You should typically not see any other dog or human. You might hear a dog barking in the distance or occasionally my dog barking from inside. You might see me walking around inside my home through the windows. There is a small chance my neighbors will ride their horses behind the fenced area but this is not common and they usually move through quickly. -If you need towels, please ask ahead of time. -Please, no digging in the area with short grass near the house, near any fence lines or near the solar array or well head. Do not enter the solar array or well head enclosure. -Access on the property is limited to the fenced area.
