Please note: The main yard is not fenced, making it ideal for dogs with good recall or those using long training lines. Dog & Human Friendly Pool: Want to cool off? We have an awesome pool that both dogs and humans are welcome to swim! We ask that 1 human/dog in the pool unless other arrangements are made with us prior to your visit. For everyone's peace of mind, the pool area is fully fenced. The remainder of the back yard is not fenced in, but is accessible for well-trained dogs with recall.

Bonus: direct access to the Wissahickon Trail!! 🐶♥️We have a reactive dog that is afraid of people and I thought it would be such a great opportunity to share our space that we love so much with other people and their pups. This is a safe space for all! ♥️ You will be able to use our driveway. Pull all the way into the driveway and take your dog from your car, directly into the fenced in yard. Theyard is about 3500 to 4000 ft.² around the side of the yard is an area with a table and chairs also a small screened in porch that you are welcome to use with your pup! I will make sure that there is a dog bowl and bags for picking up poop available for you. Trash cans are right as soon as you park! If your dog is not reactive, or if you are working on reactivity, there is gate that exits out through the other side of our yard and you enter the Wissahickon Trail, you are more than welcome to walk the public trail with your leashed dog! My husband built a small rock trail to guide you into the main trail. Also, the patio and chairs are a great spot for people who are working from home. Historic and scenic property with natural barriers

I own 11+ acres in West Chester (bordering Downingtown), although I’m currently offering access to the 4.5 acres that is not fully forested. The side of the property you’ll be enjoying has the mill which was built in the 1760s and converted into a home in the 1970s. This strip of land is bordered by a creek on the one side, and a millrace on the other. The millrace is where the water used to run when the mill was operating many moons ago. Both the creek and millrace have water, although the creek has proven to be much more alluring to visiting dogs. Both serve as natural barriers on either side of the property. The deepest area in the creek is approximately 8ft. There are chairs there for you to sit and enjoy the view while your dog swims in the water. There is another, more private area, where your dog can get easy access to the creek water. I call this the “money spot” because there is easy access to and from the creek for dogs and humans. There are steep embankments for both the creek and the millrace so it would be an effort for your dog to cross them to “escape.” At the end of my 4.5 acre property, the land comes to a peninsula where the millrace and creek meet to become one body of water. This peninsula serves as a natural barrier although my friend’s young German Shepherd did jump out into this water and after a deer on one frightful day. Fortunately, we got him home/back but I think it’s prudent for me to disclose this harrowing event for the safety of your fur baby. There is an outdoor stone patio where you and your pup(s) can relax in the shade. Here you’ll find a filled water dish for your pup(s) to enjoy and a trashcan for your dog waste. If past dog visitors are any indication of future visits, your pup(s) will likely be thirsty from all the exploring, good smells and open land to run and play. I have one of those tennis ball throwing devices that help you throw a ball super far that you’re welcome to use too. There are two dog leads on the property you’re welcome to use for training etc. One is ~50ft and the other is nearly 100 ft long. They both attached to trees and can handle the weight/pull of large dogs. I ask that you don’t encourage your pup(s) to chase after the wildlife here, not just for their sake, but for the safety of your pup(s) too. I think the hawks might have put a dent in the small wildlife around here. You won’t see many small animals like squirrels or bunnies, although you are likely to see deer. If your dog is a young/strong “chaser” you might want to visit with a leash. You’ll also find less snuggly wildlife here like snakes and ticks. I ask that you use your best judgement in supervising your dog(s) and be sure to check them for ticks before leaving. Of course at your first visit, I’ll give you a tour of the layout with your dog leashed to ensure your comfortability with the space. I’d ask you to kindly replace the raft(s) in the creek should your visit cause it to pop.

When the weather is warm, we put out a kiddie pool for water play, and you may also use the garden hose, if needed. There have been some changes which I added and thank you for visiting our yard🤗 My mother had a doggie daycare business on this property for almost 15 years. We have watched puppies grow to old dogs and have watched next generations come here. She has retired her business and now we have the land just for my 5 year old son and my dogs. Which he loves 😂 but we have room to share. You can bring your furry family members over here and enjoy our space too 🤗 Hey my son loves dogs and would love to play ball or with toys and get your dog's energy out if your dog loves kids. He loves kids and if you have kids coming my son would love to show your kids what kind of outside toys he has to share. It's in a separated fence so you can still see the kids but not have any dogs peeing on the toys. Just shoot me a message and say you would love for us to come out and say Hi. We are usually home in case you were to need anything anyway. Also, a few things since I started this a year ago. First I had no idea I would get this many visitors and we are absolutely loving that people have somewhere to take their doggy around here. Recently a tree had fell through. The back fence only took down a small part and we were able to repair. The fence has a little hole from half a piece missing at the top but no dogs can get through and the picture is provided. A nice part of the tree is left which we are hoping to turn into a bench sometime soon. The dogs have been jumping up on it, walking on it and so has my son. If it is something you are not okay with, I understand and you do not have to come here. But I can assure you we do our best to keep our fence safe for our family and yours. Also added a tiny baby pool. In case your doggies want to take a little dip on a hot day. I can leave it empty by the hose and you can feel it and just dump it out before you leave. Lastly, there is a hammock in the back right side of the yard under the only trees we have left out there 🤦‍♀️ so you can get some shade and you can bring the chairs out there.

The Oasis (3 Acres & Lake)

People have occasionally been showing up around the lake - please be aware of this We do test for blue green algae (scroll to picture 5) and we tested NEGATIVE. The lake is safe and not suffering from any toxic algae blooms. Does your dog love to run? Love to swim? Love to chill in the shade? We have it all! Enjoy 3 acres of fenced in land to run around, a private lake for your pup to swim in or do some dock diving, and a bamboo forest perfect for getting some shade and feeling at peace. We have an active train that can run nearby twice a day. Most dogs don't mind, but if yours does, be mindful that it can show up (: Two people per dog please maximum!
