Private Dog Park (50 acer property w/ 3 acers fully fenced in Lorane Oregon)

Fully Fenced
3 acres

River Dog Farm Private Dog Park - Welcome to River Dog Farm, a little slice of paradise in Lorane, Oregon! Our private 50-acre property (with 3 acers fully fenced) offers a peaceful, nature-filled escape for dogs and their humans, with something for every kind of dog. Explore, Sniff, Swim & Play - Our 3-acre fully fenced dog area is perfect for dogs who prefer to stay close to their humans or aren't quite ready for off-leash adventures in the wider property. It's a spacious place to run, sniff, play, and enjoy the outdoors. For dogs with reliable recall who are comfortable and responsible off leash, the adventure can continue beyond the fenced area. Explore our wooded property, follow the well-defined trail from the back gate of the fenced area down to two beautiful, large oak trees, and continue through the woods toward the Siuslaw River. The river runs along the back of the property and offers opportunities for dogs to cool off and swim when conditions are appropriate. A Comfortable Space for Humans - Near the fenced dog area, you'll find a small outbuilding with a fully stocked kitchen, drinkable water, a refrigerator, couches, a chair, and a first aid kit. The deck has outdoor seating, making it a lovely spot to relax while your dog enjoys the property. Additional amenities include: • Fresh water and a trough for dogs to drink from and splash or play in. • A fully functioning outhouse for human use. • Deck and kitchen lighting for evening hangouts. • Plenty of space to enjoy food, snacks, and time with your dog. • Potable water for humans and dogs. • A secure place to store food, personal belongins, and a place to stay dry if it’s raining. Please note: The yurt is off-limits to dog park visitors, but the deck and designated outbuilding spaces are available for you to enjoy. Book Your Own Adventure or Bring Your Friends - River Dog Farm can be booked for individual dogs or for dog parties with friends! Whether your pup loves running, sniffing, exploring the woods, splashing in the water, or simply lounging in the sunshine, we hope you'll find your own favorite way to enjoy this special property. River Safety — Please Read - The Siuslaw River changes significantly throughout the year. • Summer and fall: The river is generally lower, more mellow, and warmer. • Winter: Water levels rise significantly, the current becomes stronger, and the water is much colder. Please use your best judgment and be mindful of your dog's swimming ability, comfort, and safety. You are responsible for your dog and all decisions made for yourself and your animal while using the property, including in the river area. The property owners have warned of potential hazards, and all visitors are expected to take appropriate precautions. A Few Important Reminders • Please practice Leave No Trace principles. Pack out everything you bring in, including trash and waste. Dog waste can be placed in the designated trash can at the property. • Food is welcome on the property. • Please supervise your dog and be responsible for their behavior and safety at all times. • Respect the property, the surrounding environment, and any designated off-limits areas. • Upon departure please be sure all gates are fully latched and closed. Stay Longer at River Dog Farm - Our property is also home to a working Airbnb! If you and your furry friend fall in love with our little slice of paradise and want to stay longer, check us out on Airbnb. We are so happy to welcome you and your dog friends to River Dog Farm. We hope you enjoy the space, make some wonderful memories, and leave with happy, tired pups! Warmly, Hira & Mitch

Dog park in the forest near Bellfountain.

Partially Fenced
25 acres

The property is a horse ranch on 25 acres surrounded by private forest. There is a shallow year round creek that is refreshingly cold and also a large pond that your dog can swim in. There are hiking trails that start at the edge of the property. The trails are mostly uphill. The outdoor and indoor arenas are available for an extra fee. They are mostly dog proof for large dogs but not escape proof for small dogs. The horses wander around the property early in the morning so if your dog chases horses it should be kept on a leash around the horses. I recommend that I show you around your first time out here. To get here you must be prepared to drive down 5 miles of gravel road. There is a gate to get into the property. The gate code will be sent to you with the welcoming message. Cell phone signals are weak once you get on the gravel so check the pre-visit message sent two hours before the appointment before you get out of cell service.

55My first time visiting this lovely spot. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!! The trail to the creek is steep, as clearly described, but it is VERY well maintained and takes literally 2 minutes each way. I brought a hiking pole which was helpful for hiking up the creek. I wished I’d had longer than an hour to explore further! Well worth the 30-mile drive from Eugene. Thank you ❤️

It provided lots of options for our dog to explore and sniff. Detailed descriptions & directions from host were greatly appreciated. 55Beautiful spot for dogs. I think I would’ve liked it a lot more if I had larger dogs. The path down to the water was kind of steep. Do not wear flip flops or loose shoes. I had an older French bulldog and thank goodness I brought a towel to make a sling to carry him back up. My other younger frenchie jumped in and got caught in the undertow current for a split second. I had to jump in. This experience was down the path from parking so I’m sure there are other safer spots for smaller dogs. I didn’t have the time to look. The host was very sweet and led me to the parking area via phone because I was lost. I left the Sniffspot early and she gave me a rec which was perfect across the street called Leaburg Dam road with tons of shade and flat walking through the woods. My 2 frenchies were just too small and hot at this Sniffspot. But don’t let it stop you from checking it out and finding a good creek area for smaller dogs.

55So happy this SniffSpot opened up! It’s great to explore a beautiful and quiet area near the McKenzie River that we otherwise would never get to see. Lots to smell and explore for Lumi - we visited on a rainy day and she loved playing in the puddles! The trail to the waterfall is a little overgrown and steep but it’s accessible, and as the host notes, they’re just getting started! Host is super responsive, helpful, and welcoming. We can’t wait to visit again.

55We had a lovely time at this spot! It was a great change of pace from the low, wet grasslands we usually frequent down in the valley. It was well marked, easy to find and as advertised. The host was very responsive and attentive. It was gorgeous and quiet and just fascinating seeing an environment that is recovering post-wildfire. As is stated in the description, I would strongly recommend a good, reliable recall if you and your dog want to take full advantage of the space. You could leash your dog in the open meadow area and on the roads and some of the trails, but it’s a forest recovering from a wildfire so of course natural hazards like branches and logs and loose dirt and rocks are to be expected. I was glad for my recall and a dog who hangs close so I could navigate without worrying about a leash and a dog.

55Absolutely amazing beautiful spot! My dog had the best time swimming and running in the field. Our 150lb mastiff doesn’t like other dogs so this was perfect for us because it’s very hard finding a spot for him to swim without other people or dogs around. We will for sure be back! So happy we found this spot.

Frequently asked questions about Walterville dog water parks

What do private dog water parks in Walterville offer that public parks don't?

Private dog water parks in Walterville offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for swimming and water play, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Walterville can't guarantee any of this. With 18 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.

Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Walterville?

Yes! Most of Walterville's 18 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Walterville listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.

When can puppies start visiting dog water parks in Walterville?

Puppies can visit Walterville dog water parks as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore swimming and water play without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Walterville trainers specifically use dog water parks for puppy development.

How do I find private dog water parks near me in Walterville?

Browse Walterville's 18 dog water parks on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Walterville listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Philomath Puppy Park 2.0 is particularly popular among Walterville dog owners.

Can I rent dog water parks in Walterville by the hour?

Yes! All 18 dog water parks in Walterville are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Walterville dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.

What's the difference between Sniffspot dog water parks and public dog parks in Walterville?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Walterville mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 18 Walterville dog water parks give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys swimming and water play and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Are there indoor dog water parks in Walterville?

Yes! Walterville has climate-controlled indoor dog water parks perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Walterville locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Walterville weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.

How do Walterville dog water parks help with dog training?

Walterville trainers love dog water parks because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice water confidence building, dock diving practice, or swimming-based fitness training, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for swimming and water play.
