Field of Frolic is here to enjoy!

Fully Fenced
0.5 acres

The Field is mowed and fenced, ready for your dog to play! Come experience your own personal dog park. A 5’ fence surrounds this expanse of green with several shade trees for relaxing under. A wading pool is provided to ensure ample access to water and a place to cool down on hot days. A convenient garbage can for poop bags waits by the entrance, with a fresh supply of baggies! The small deck box holds a chuck-it with extra balls and some other toys for sharing. Human water is also provided ☺️ Comfy benches inside the Field allow humans to rest while the doggies run and explore. When arriving, look for signage that will guide you to the grey garage. The entrance to the ‘Field of Frolick’ is the chain link gate to your right. Hose can be activated at the front of the garage if you need more water, as well as a power outlet. If we have a lot of rain, there may be some mud along the far side of the field. Walk carefully, many holes have been dug… Welcome to the Field and enjoy!

T's One Acre Fenced Doggy Paradise 🐾

Fully Fenced
1 acre

Hello! So glad you’re here :) I live on a fully fenced acre with about half available for dog activities right now! We love our furry guests and we are also a full time dog boarding home / pet sitters! All fur babies are welcome. We do ask that you please pick up after your dog - we will have shovels and poop bags readily available. You are also more than welcome to walk your dog down our road if you are looking for a lovely leisure walk! Ask us about our antler chews! When visiting I will make sure all dogs are up in the house. There may be barking here and there so please let me know if your dog has any sensitivities and I will accommodate. There is an occasional horse in the next pasture or goats. Some people get cell phone service out here while others don’t - enjoy unplugging and winding down or I can supply our WiFi password if desired. Thank you!

Jasper Memorial Sanctuary - Sliding Fee Scale Using Discount Codes (See Details in Description Below - scroll down)

Fully Fenced
1.3 acres

SLIDING SCALE DISCOUNTS - Guests can choose their pay rate for sanctuary use based on their moment-to-moment economic status. Discounts are as follows: $2 off (JMSS2) $4 off (JMSS4) $6 has been removed. Dog damage to newly planted trees has incentivized this change. Enter the discount code (in parentheses) for your desired discount. Just as a reminder, or for new inquiries, the effort and cost to recover/rebuild Jasper Memorial Sanctuary was extensive and expensive. Material costs were over $5000. Labor costs, had I hired all the hours worked, are over $15,000. The price increase for utilizing the Sanctuary is small in comparison to the expenses incurred from the loss (0.1%). Thank you to all my amazing guests who have given your dog(s) the opportunity to find their calm within by visiting Jasper Memorial Sanctuary. It is amazing to see your dogs and you finding your inner peace. Thank you too for following all of the rules to keep this SS sustainable into the future. The fee set is the amount needed to allow me to keep this site open and provide improvements when needed. (I understand other sites charge less, but I've learned charging less is not financially sustainable. Hosts do not earn what they charge). I love hosting new and returning guests. RECENT IMPROVEMENTS/RESTORATION: Approximately 80 damaged/downed trees removed. 40 uprooted stumps ground out 340' of new 5' fencing installed 140' fencing repaired New entrance gate/location created 100s perhaps 1000s of poison oak dug out (it's still present, just fewer) Culvert installed at entrance with gravel path to gate. New signs installed. Three new maple trees planted. A 6'x6' sand box has been added. Please encourage digging in this location only. Discourage digging in all other locations for the safety of everyone and the preservation of the environment. A poop bag dispenser has been installed on a post near the gate and will be kept filled - guests may need to refill the dispenser from the supply inside the dispensing case. Jasper Memorial Sanctuary, named in memory of my soul dog Jasper, is no larger than 1.3 acres in and fully fenced. The acreage is a combination of mid-age dense timber, new reforestation, devastation zone and open grass. The area is flanked on two sides by driveways. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀. Be respectful of wildlife. Deer and turkey roam the property and consider the space their home. If there are wild animals in the sanctuary enclosure upon your arrival, please keep your dog(s) on leash until the other animals have vacated the area. Under no circumstance are dogs allowed to chase wildlife. Domestic and rescued animals that live on the property include horses, donkey, geese and chickens. 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 and do not approach any of these animals. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 is about 50' away from the entrance gate. Please keep dog(s) on leash until within the fenced enclosure. 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 - If you have reason to have more than two vehicles for your visit, please contact me prior to reserving for pre-approval. If approved, there will be an "Extra" fee to add to your reservation. Please select the appropriate "Extra" for the number of vehicles approved. 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗡𝗼 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗩𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝘀𝗲 anywhere on the property anytime. 𝗗𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿. Be sure all dogs brought to the property have been registered with Sniffspot for your visit for liability purposes. A 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 is available near the parking area at the corner of the barn. There are also two to three 2-gallon water buckets just outside the dog sanctuary area for your use. If I'm able to, will rinse and fill fresh buckets in the morning, however, feel free to refresh them at the spigot at the barn throughout the day. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁, two chairs, two benches and a small folding table are available at the site. They may be folded and leaning against a tree during the rainy season. A 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗽 𝗯𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 located in the wooden cabinet attached to the fence is available. Please limit to poop. I have no garbage service at the farm, I am the garbage service. Thank you for your consideration. Please 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 and your dog so each person/dog can have an enjoyable experience. NOTE: Wild animal poop will not be picked up. Expect to encounter poop from turkeys and deer. While the presence of coyote, fox, bobcat and cougar is rare, you might see the poop of these animals as well. 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱. The sanctuary is at 1300' elevation and will be closed, appointments cancelled, during snow events. During fire season, the sanctuary may need to be closed, appointments cancelled, due to extreme fire danger. 𝗜 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝘆 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 - I will attempt to meet you and your dog(s) at your first visit - I will never approach your dog. After that you may not see me during your visit. If I'm not present at your arrival, please review the rules and things to be aware of prior to using the sanctuary posted at the sanctuary entrance. Please help to keep costs down by adhering to the property rules.

55This was our first time at this Sniffspot, and we loved it! Our dog loved the water. The walk down to the stream may be a bit steep for some, but we found it manageable (we used the rope at the bottom). We will be back :)

55What a lovely spot! As others have said, the path to the creek is steep but it’s short. We had a great time admiring the view, sniffing flowers, and chasing butterflies.

55This spot is GORGEOUS! Highly recommend going down to the creek, it was great especially on a hot day. The trail is steeper than I was expecting but the ropes were handy. If you or your dog have physical limitations I would avoid the creek access. Otherwise 10/10, will definitely visit again!

55We are pretty new to Oregon so maybe I am "overstating" this if you're used to the trees and waterfalls of the PNW - but to us, this spot was STUNNING! This was our first time bringing our dog anywhere to try and swim and he absolutely LOVED it, the water was just deep enough for him to paddle around but not big enough to make us nervous. We waded around in the water and relaxed, it was so peaceful and quiet. The directions to get there were very clear and helpful, and hiking boots were a good idea - the trail was a bit steep but only a few minutes to get from the parking spot to the water. Our dog is still very young and not trustworthy off-leash yet, so a 30 foot leash came in handy here. We will ABSOLUTELY be back!

55A little steep on the path down to the water but if you can handle that, this is a beautiful location, the pictures don’t even do it justice. The property was pretty easy to access and the host provided chairs, waste bags, toys, water, and even a place to dispose of waste. Definitely will be returning!

55Could not recommend this place more!! 10/10 will absolutely be coming again. We have 2 large dogs and they did the trail down to the water without any issues, some have said it’s rough to get down, we didn’t have any problems. There’s a lovely deck that looks newer that offers a beautiful view of the waterfalls, stunning. We loved it so much we extended our time almost immediately. Host has two chair to sit and relax in as well as a tub with water and a few toys, some sunscreen. Very thoughtful!

55Unique spot for a romp. The site of a previous wildfire(?) is hauntingly beautiful with the stream, wildflowers, waterfall & new growth. It provided lots of options for our dog to explore and sniff. Detailed descriptions & directions from host were greatly appreciated. As stated, the trail to the stream is steep and rocky for humans…But our dog did not seem to notice or care. He thought it was perfect!!!

55Beautiful spot for dogs. I think I would’ve liked it a lot more if I had larger dogs. The path down to the water was kind of steep. Do not wear flip flops or loose shoes. I had an older French bulldog and thank goodness I brought a towel to make a sling to carry him back up. My other younger frenchie jumped in and got caught in the undertow current for a split second. I had to jump in. This experience was down the path from parking so I’m sure there are other safer spots for smaller dogs. I didn’t have the time to look. The host was very sweet and led me to the parking area via phone because I was lost. I left the Sniffspot early and she gave me a rec which was perfect across the street called Leaburg Dam road with tons of shade and flat walking through the woods. My 2 frenchies were just too small and hot at this Sniffspot. But don’t let it stop you from checking it out and finding a good creek area for smaller dogs.

55This is our second visit and it was great to see how the spot is developing! The trail to the creek is cleared and there are several ropes too leading to the perfect little swim spot.

55The hosts have added a rope, making the trail that leads to the waterfall easier to access. Once again so much fun exploring this space with the dogs.

55So happy this SniffSpot opened up! It’s great to explore a beautiful and quiet area near the McKenzie River that we otherwise would never get to see. Lots to smell and explore for Lumi - we visited on a rainy day and she loved playing in the puddles! The trail to the waterfall is a little overgrown and steep but it’s accessible, and as the host notes, they’re just getting started! Host is super responsive, helpful, and welcoming. We can’t wait to visit again.

55We had a lovely time at this spot! It was a great change of pace from the low, wet grasslands we usually frequent down in the valley. It was well marked, easy to find and as advertised. The host was very responsive and attentive. It was gorgeous and quiet and just fascinating seeing an environment that is recovering post-wildfire. As is stated in the description, I would strongly recommend a good, reliable recall if you and your dog want to take full advantage of the space. You could leash your dog in the open meadow area and on the roads and some of the trails, but it’s a forest recovering from a wildfire so of course natural hazards like branches and logs and loose dirt and rocks are to be expected. I was glad for my recall and a dog who hangs close so I could navigate without worrying about a leash and a dog.

55Great spot for a walk! Best for dogs (and humans) who don’t mind uneven terrain. Host is super friendly and accommodating, and left out toys and water for the pups (and chairs for people) in the meadow where you park. Definitely recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Walterville dog fields

What types of dog fields are available in Walterville?

Walterville has 41 dog fields offers wide-open grass fields, fetch lanes, and open running space. Whether you need a fully-fenced space for poor recall, a quiet location for a reactive dog, appropriate sizing for small breeds, gentle terrain for seniors, or specific amenities like water features or agility equipment, you'll find options in Walterville. Filter by fencing, size, distractions, and amenities to match your needs.

When can I book dog fields in Walterville?

Walterville dog fields are available based on host scheduling—many operate dawn to dusk or even 24/7. Unlike public dog parks with rigid hours, you choose the exact time that works for you. Check individual Walterville listings for specific availability. Flexible scheduling is especially helpful for dogs with specific needs: reactive dogs who do better during quieter times, working dog owners needing early/late slots, or seniors needing cooler morning hours.

How do I book a dog field in Walterville?

Browse 41 available dog fields in Walterville, select your preferred date and time, and reserve through Sniffspot. Most Walterville locations offer instant booking. You'll receive confirmation, exact address, and entry instructions. The booking process takes just minutes—perfect when your dog needs exercise, whether that's a reactive dog requiring safe space, a puppy needing socialization, or an energetic dog burning off steam.

What's the most popular dog field in Walterville?

Happy Tails Farm, 3 acres Fully Fenced + 7 acres Partially Fenced, Eugene is highly rated among Walterville dog fields, known for excellent amenities and positive reviews. However, the "best" spot depends on your dog's needs—reactive dogs might prioritize privacy and quiet, puppies might need secure fencing, seniors might want flat terrain, while active dogs might want maximum running space. Browse Walterville listings to find your ideal match.

Can I use Walterville dog fields for training sessions?

Yes! Walterville dog fields are perfect for training because they're private and distraction-free. Work on recall, practice long-distance recall across open space, running drills, or field sports like fetch and frisbee, help reactive dogs build confidence, socialize puppies, or work on obedience—all without public dog park unpredictability. Many Walterville professional trainers use these spaces for client sessions with all types of dogs.

Do Walterville dog fields accommodate multiple dogs?

Most Walterville dog fields welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings for specifics). If you have several dogs—especially if some are reactive toward strange dogs or if you have mixed ages (puppies and seniors)—private dog fields let them play together safely without outside interference or triggers.

What amenities do Walterville dog fields offer?

Walterville dog fields feature amenities like large open grass areas for full-speed running and fetch, with room for frisbee, lure coursing, and off-leash sprints. Many hosts provide extras: poop bags, water stations, toys, shaded seating, parking, even dog wash stations. Each Walterville listing clearly shows what's available. Look for amenities matching your dog's needs: shade for heat-sensitive breeds, water for swimmers, agility for active dogs, or privacy features for anxious pets.

Are Walterville dog fields available year-round?

Most fields are available year-round, though some may close temporarily for maintenance or during severe weather. Many Walterville hosts maintain their dog fields throughout all seasons. Filter for covered or climate-controlled options if weather matters. Indoor dog fields provide year-round access regardless of Walterville weather conditions. Check individual listings for seasonal availability and policies.
