Otis' Private Dog Park In Smyrna

Unfenced
25 acres

A hidden gem in the midst of Smyrna! Nested within the city limits is 25 acres of beauty and splendor - creeks, woods, field, trails, and a crystal clear spring. One side of the property is bordered by rock springs and has some natural fencing consistent with a century old farm and homestead. Walk back in time and enjoy the boundless scenery. Please be aware of the water features as the spring is deep and moves swiftly through the property. An abundance of wildlife live on the farm so don’t be surprised by deer, hawks, skunks, rabbits, raccoons and such. With a farm also comes briars, thorns, uneven ground, fox holes, mole tunnels, and of course, ticks and mosquitoes. So come prepared!

5 Acres Unfenced Private Land In Readyville

Unfenced
5 acres

There’s over 5 acres of land for your pet to explore! A long wooded driveway, front woods to explore, huge yard with grass always well-maintained, swings and fresh water are all available for you and your dog. We have several spots that are perfect for hanging a hammock in the trees so feel free to bring one! We have disc golf baskets you can enjoy if you have discs, a bench in the shade or swings to relax on. Dogs must be on a leash. We have a run line cable at the fire pit area for your use. We do not have a fenced in property and you will rarely hear or see dogs from other homes nearby. We occasionally have other animals come on our property as we live in the country and you may see rabbits, squirrels, deer, groundhogs, snakes and on very rare occasion armadillos. The house yard is sprayed for mosquitoes (safe for pets and humans), but please remember that ticks and other bugs live in the woods. There will always be a container of fresh water out at the back sidewalk or a faucet you can access. Please DO NOT bring your dogs on the porch or deck. Our own dog is inside the house and likes to think it is only her domain!

Paradise is waiting for you

Unfenced
10 acres

We recently bought a lil piece of heaven, 10 acres of paradise. Half is wooded and half is open land. Open field available for your babies to run on and an open spot in the woods to explore. The property line between us and our neighbors is marked with metal stakes so we ask that you keep your fur babies on our side. But feel free to explore the field of tall grass with trails winding through. We have a dry pond to explore and lots of room to throw a ball. We love it here. Once your done, you both will need a nap. There’s a hose out front of the house you can use to fill up water for your baby, and chairs at the walnut tree to relax in if you need a break. Feel free to walk the trails which come out near the fence closest to house and opposite side in field. Make you and your babies at home and enjoy paradise as much as we all do! See you soon!

BNP ranch off leash adventures

Partially Fenced
60 acres

We have 60 acres, split by an old logging road. The road is approximately 1.5 miles from the county road cutoff through the property. The elevation drops gradually from 950' to about 500' at the end. There's a perineal creek flowing through the property, that crosses over at a unique outcropping. Natural springs, varied terrain, and animal trails are abundant off the main road. It's a great place for off leash adventures, both for pets and pet parents!

Frequently asked questions about Westmoreland dog hiking trails

Where can I find dog hiking trails in Westmoreland?

Westmoreland has 14 private dog hiking trails available through Sniffspot, offering natural exploration and varied terrain in completely private settings. These locations range from compact spaces to properties spanning 60+ acres. Whether you need a space for your reactive dog, puppy socialization, senior dog gentle exercise, or high-energy play, Westmoreland dog hiking trails provide safe, private environments. Filter for "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, or fencing types to find your perfect match.

How many dog hiking trails are in Westmoreland?

Westmoreland offers 14 dog hiking trails ranging from compact spaces to properties spanning acres. You'll find options such as dog field, fully fenced dog park, dog agility park, and more. Each Westmoreland dog hiking trail listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are Westmoreland dog hiking trails good for all dog types?

Yes! Westmoreland dog hiking trails work for every dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer without large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space, and reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the environment they need. Browse Westmoreland's 14 options to find spaces matching your dog's specific temperament and needs.

Will I encounter other dogs at Westmoreland dog hiking trails?

Not a chance. Westmoreland dog hiking trails operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Westmoreland owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are Westmoreland dog hiking trails safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Yes! Westmoreland dog hiking trails provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment without overwhelming encounters. Many Westmoreland dog owners specifically choose dog hiking trails for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Can puppies use Westmoreland dog hiking trails?

Absolutely! Westmoreland dog hiking trails are excellent for puppy socialization because they're private and controlled. Puppies can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment, practice recall, and build confidence without the overwhelming chaos that can create fear or reactivity in young dogs. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best dog hiking trail in Westmoreland?

Start by filtering Westmoreland's 14 dog hiking trails for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Westmoreland's Otis' Private Dog Park In Smyrna with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Westmoreland owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are Westmoreland's dog hiking trail requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Westmoreland host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog hiking trails welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
