55Our dogs loved this Sniff Spot and so did we. The grounds were beautiful and fun to walk around. It was raining when we went but we still had a blast. We will definitely be back Caitlin and Kyle N.

55This is a large area for doggos to roam for sure! There are definitely areas where you can lose sight of your pup so be aware if your doggos don't have great recall. There is a drop off down to a small creek that is not fenced and the entrance to the property has a gate that has large enough gaps to allow your dog out, however the area you park and release the hounds is a good distance from it.Niki C.

55The space was gorgeous, even in the winter! The little lavender farm is such a pleasant sniff spot, there’s so much to see and a lot of space for fetch or just open sniffing for your pup. There’s water and beautiful green everywhere to admire. BYOB (bring your own bowl) she has water available on the property for your pup. Thank you for such a great time! Jessica G.

55Beautiful property! Plenty of space for the pups to run and explore. I especially appreciated the scattered picnic benches for us to use while we followed the pups around. Property is fully fenced. That said, there IS a small, charming creek that touches a small portion of the property. If you dog’s an explorer AND a swimmer, I’d suggest keeping an eye on them in this area. Would definitely recommend this spot to others!Casandra F.

55Beautiful grounds and nicely situated for walking the perimeter. Even after heavy rains the mud wasn’t too bad, lots of gravel and grassy area. Thank you for a fun walk with the pups!Suzanne G.

55Our first Sniffspot visit and it was great. Plenty of places to sit and rest and room for pups to run around with lots of great sniffs. A couple of cows border the fence on one side and it proved to be quite an experience for my puppy having never seen one before! Thanks for sharing your property with us!Janet L.

55This is a really coo SniffSpot. The cows are super cute, curious, and separated by a wire fence. My dogs have never seen cows and they weren’t fans, so we kept them leashed and did some training from afar. This is probably the only SniffSpot with a bathroom. Lots of places to sit and relax. 55What a beautiful place! The dogs loved exploring and sniffing the various smells on the property. They ran off all their energy and were ready to climb back into the car after an hour. We will be back!Leticia S.

55This was our first time at the Lavender farm. It’s a cool and unique find with stuff for both dog and human to enjoy! We spent the time exploring a bit and kicking his ball around on the flatter terrain. There were 3 cattle that came up to the fence, so if your dog is fearful or aggressive to livestock, I’d reconsider going because the fence is just wire and noses can fit through it or perhaps use a longline to avoid at portion of the property. Charlie was curious about the cattle and just kept dropping his ball in front of them as to initiate play. There are plenty of places to just sit back and relax too. And, the host is very helpful and friendly. I look forward to returning not just with my dog, but also to check out the lavender shop during regular hours. Sonja V.

How clean are private dog hiking trails in Wilton compared to public parks?
Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in Wilton see dozens of dogs daily with sporadic city maintenance. Private dog hiking trails have dedicated hosts who maintain their own spaces—cleanliness directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many Wilton hosts provide fresh poop bags, sanitized water stations, and regular grounds cleaning. With only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal.
Can I book Wilton dog hiking trails on short notice?
Usually yes! Many Wilton dog hiking trails offer same-day or next-day availability with instant booking. Unlike public parks that might be crowded unpredictably, Wilton private dog hiking trails let you reserve exactly when needed: early morning before work, midday breaks, evening exercise. Real-time availability shows on each listing—perfect for last-minute training or when routines get disrupted.
What's the best time to visit dog hiking trails in Wilton?
Any time works since bookings are private! Unlike public dog parks in Wilton that are crowded during peak hours (mornings, evenings, weekends), you don't worry about timing. Book when it fits YOUR schedule—midday when it's quiet, dawn for cool weather, late evening for convenience. Many Wilton dog hiking trails have lighting for after-dark visits. This flexibility is perfect for shift workers or dogs with special needs.
Do Wilton dog hiking trails allow multiple dogs?
Yes! Most Wilton dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings), but generally you can bring your whole pack. This is perfect for multi-dog households in Wilton where some dogs are selective—they can play together privately without outside interference. Great for sibling bonding or families with mixed ages/temperaments.
Can I use Wilton dog hiking trails for special events?
Many Wilton dog hiking trails welcome doggy birthday parties, training workshops, breed meetups, or group playdates. Private bookings mean your event won't be interrupted. Coordinate with Wilton hosts about capacity, amenities (parking, shade, water), and any restrictions. Some even provide party extras. Check individual Wilton dog hiking trail listings for event policies.
How do Wilton dog hiking trails accommodate dogs with special needs?
Wilton dog hiking trails are excellent for special needs dogs because you can filter for specific requirements: flat terrain for mobility issues, secure fencing for blind/deaf dogs, quiet locations for anxious dogs, small spaces for seniors, or maximum privacy for reactive dogs. Read reviews from other Wilton special-needs dog owners, and contact hosts with questions. The private setting means you can adapt the experience to your dog's unique requirements.
