Vicky Palmer

Working at her parents' boarding kennel at the age of 14, kickstarted her journey working with and training dogs. Over two decades later, she's still doing what she knows best, helping dogs and their parents, using fun, positive and engaging methods.Vicky headed off to the animal shelter world after receiving a BA in Biology and Animal Behavior in 2009. After volunteering at her local animal shelter during college, she realized she wanted to work with homeless dogs with severe behavior issues, who needed and deserved a second chance. While overseeing the behavior department, Vicky completed her Masters Certificate from CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and earned a Free Fear Handling and Training Certificate as well. Vicky was also the volunteer coordinator and was enthusiastic about teaching behavior and why dogs behave the way they do.After spending 15 years in animal shelters and managing two behavior departments, she wanted a change of pace and decided to bring her knowledge and love of dog behavior and training to families who greatly need guidance and a listening ear. Her specialty and passion are fear reactivity, resource guarding and aggression cases. All Dogs Allowed has been a rewarding experience for her because it has given her the opportunity to help pet parents and their 4-legged kids in a different capacity.Vicky spends most of her time (outside of training) with her family. She loves being active and outdoors. You can find her exploring new trails and going on hikes with her rambunctious 4 year old son. She currently has her hands full with her little boy, but is itching to have a canine companion. Growing up in a household with 4 cats and 3 dogs, she's sure to have a pack of her own soon.Credentials & Continuing EducationBA in Biology and Animal Behavior, Ithaca College; CATCH Canine Trainers Academy Master Certificate; Fear Free Handling and Training Certificate; Certified Family Dog Mediator
