Meet Marygrace, host of Four Separate Fun Fields, a Sniffspot in Harwood, Maryland that's already welcomed more than 2,624 dogs.
Since starting in 2020, Marygrace has created a space designed completely around one thing: what dogs truly enjoy. From open fields to sensory exploration areas, every part of her spot was built with pups in mind.
For Marygrace, the joy comes from watching dogs fully relax and enjoy themselves.
Guests love the freedom to run, sniff, explore, and play safely in a space designed specifically for them. And for their humans, there's peace of mind knowing the environment is thoughtful, secure, and welcoming.
"It's well kept with lots of toys and room to run." It's that attention to detail is what keeps guests coming back.

Four Separate Fun Fields is anything but a typical yard. Guests love:
But one feature stands out above the rest: the Nose Garden.
Marygrace created a dedicated "nose garden" where dogs can safely explore herbs, vegetables, non-toxic plants, and textured natural areas designed to encourage sniffing and curiosity.
"I pick vegetables, herbs and non-toxic plants and rough areas to explore. This is not a people garden. Though nice, it's designed to be safe for dogs."
If you're setting up your own space, this is a good checklist to steal: fencing, open fields, shade, water, seating for humans, and one sensory touch that's entirely yours. Marygrace's is the Nose Garden. Yours might be an agility setup, a splash pool, or something else entirely. The point isn't to copy her, it's to find the one thing that makes your spot memorable.
Marygrace started hosting for one simple reason:
"For the pure love of dogs and their pleasure."
That love shows up everywhere throughout her spot, from the layout to the enrichment activities to the little details guests immediately notice when they arrive. Her goal has always been to create a place where dogs can truly enjoy being dogs.
A few things Marygrace focuses on, and how you can apply them to your own spot:

Marygrace didn't need a big property or a flashy build-out to get started. She had a piece of land and a clear focus: what would dogs actually enjoy here. That's a lower bar than most people assume hosting requires.
If you've got outdoor space, even a modest fenced yard, you already have what most successful hosts started with:
For dog lovers looking for income that doesn't feel like a grind, hosting is one of the few side hustles that runs largely on its own once the space is set up.

A moment that stays with Marygrace? "One little dog with a heart condition and other illnesses loves playing with the herding ball. His mistress has to chase him all over the field when it's time to go home."
