Welcome to our Sniffspot! We bought our property especially for the large yard. It’s a great space for dogs to run and play and sniff. The street facing part of the yard has 6ft privacy fence and the rent has a combo of chain link, 6ft wood or heavy duty wire. The yard is very secure for both large and small dogs. We have lots of birds, squirrel and chipmunks, and occasionally a raccoon or fox visits so the smells are endless. We hope your pup(s) will enjoy it as Miah as ours does.

We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys, sand/digging areas, pools and agility equipment in a large, fenced area for you and your dog to romp around. Main entrance to the yard can be found by entering the second driveway and parking in the designated parking area in front of the solar barn. We do not plow that driveway in the winter as it’s just gravel. So, feel free to park at the bottom of my driveway and walk to the SS gate if you’re not comfortable using the SS driveway. We ask that you please adhere to our 24 hour notice when changing or canceling a reservation. We are always fully booked on weekends. Access to the pool is blocked by a gate on the deck stairs. - After a lot of rain we sometimes get muddy puddles. - The yard has grass, flowers, woods, a kiddie pool, access to a hose, water bowl, dog toys, a place for pet parents to sit and relax while the doggos play. - Its probably a bit more than a 1/2 acre fenced with grass and a wooded trail. There will almost always be someone home during any visit as I work from home. We have dogs and I will lock them inside the house while we have visitors. Rules: 1. We would appreciate a 24 hour notice for all reservation changes or cancellations. 2. If you have more than 2 cars attending at the same time, please park at North Broadway Crossing. 3. Only one booking is in the yard at a time. 4. Due to the pool, no person under 18 is allowed on the property without adult supervision. 5. It is crucial that you arrive during and only stay for the time booked because another family my be booked directly after you or I could have my dogs in the yard if you are there outside of your booked time and I wouldn't want an unexpected encounter.

Hi! Welcome! I have a fully fenced in backyard with plenty of parking on Main Street in Hampstead. There is plenty of room for your dog to run around and plenty of smells from my dogs. One section of the fence is only 3 feet high, so it may not work if your dog is a jumper. My neighbor has horses that may be in a nearby pasture. There are also dogs that live next-door. If you are coming, I will keep my dogs in the house. They will probably not even know you are out there. There is one spot that can get muddy depending on the weather. The rest of the yard is grass and a small area of bushes and other vegetation. There is also a rocky area under my deck. During the warmer months, there will be a picnic table and chairs. Please bring bags and pick up after your dog. There is a trash bucket out there. I will also have a water bowl out there during the warmer months. There is a gate if you need to block off the stairs to the deck. It is next to the shed under the deck. I have tenants that may go in and out off the deck but I inform them of visits and they are dog people. Thank you! Please let me know if you need anything. Our yard features a large open grassy area to play ball or frisbee, a meadow/English garden type area, and overgrowth of plants and trees on the sides of the yard that provide a fun terrain for your dogs to explore and sniff! The dogs are welcome to roam wherever they’d like! We have a hose and bowl outside for you to use for water and to cool down. We also provide some balls, bags and a pooper scooper for you to use if needed. The yard is enclosed by a combination of a 6’ privacy fence, as well as a chain link fence that abuts the neighbors backyard, and a white picket fence reinforced with wire. We mow regularly, and often have flowers and trees in bloom! There is a picnic table and lawn chairs for humans to enjoy, and the pups too, if they’d like! There is always ample, safe, street parking directly next to the entrance gate, which is on the side of the house. If you prefer driveway parking, let me know and we can make room for you, but the best parking spot is right outside the gate! Please do be mindful of closing the gate behind you when you enter and exit as we don’t want any escapes! Feel free to use the hose for fresh water or to cool off! Large Fenced in Yard with Some Woods to Explore

Update 12/8/24: A tree branch fell on my fence, knocking it down. The tree branch has been removed and the fence lifted back up but it is not secure. Please check the fence before unleashing your dog to ensure it is still up and they won't be able to get out. Most dogs probably won't even notice but if you have dogs that intentionally look for ways out, my spot won't be the best match until I get it fixed. Message me if you would like pictures prior to booking. Update 6/12/23: While I love the tree by the mailbox, I recognize it makes backing out of my driveway very difficult. Feel free to back into the drive so that your line of sight isn't blocked when trying to leave. Update 4/11/23: There are times that I block off my yard for the whole day to ensure that I don't have back-to-back visits and that there is time for the dogs I am dog sitting to run around. I don't need all this time so feel free to message me if you would like to visit on that particular day and I can unblock a slot for you to book. General Information I have a large fenced in yard. It is chain link and 6ft tall. It is reinforced at the bottom. There is a woodsy area in the yard for dogs to explore as well. Lots of room to run! You may notice your dog spends most of his/her time sniffing around instead of running. This is typical for the first visit: 1. It is a new space for them and they get a lot of information through their nose 2. Lots of dogs have been in my yard so there is so much to smell. This is still great enrichment and will lead to a tired and fulfilled dog. Please bring your own dog toys, water, and water bowl. If your dog poops (even if in the woods), can you please pick it up? I have a dog that likes to eat poop - so gross! You may notice that sometimes my deck is gated off. I do this so that the visiting dogs aren't distracted by the sliding door, standing in front of it thinking they are there to come into the house instead of playing in the yard. You are more than welcome to take one of them down if you want to sit up on the deck. If I forget to put the gate up and you want to block your dog from coming up on the deck, feel free to put it on the stairs to block the entryway. Other things worth mentioning: - My neighbor to the right of me has ducks. They are typically quiet but visible. - Depending on the weather and time of the year, parts of the yard may be icy and/or muddy! Bring towels to wipe down your dog afterwards. If you visit early spring, you may see ground bees flying around on the south facing side of the house. By late April, you won't even know they are there. They are very docile (in fact most species don't have stingers) and are great pollinators. - I also dog sit out of my home. Some dogs that I watch are vocal and may bark the whole time you are visiting. If your booking time is during a time that I am home, I can ensure that they are kept quiet and don’t interfere with your visit. If hearing barking coming from my house is something that will impact your visit, feel free to reach out to me beforehand to confirm whether or not I am dog sitting and/or will be home. This yard was a dog’s DREAM! Plenty of space, lots of trees and different areas to sniff and explore. Both pools were ready to go for us. There’s seating for humans. We were confused by how to enter the fenced area, but that’s because I didn’t realize there was access information as part of the reservation details. Totally worth the hour drive we made!

We live in a townhome so our dogs are always on a leash. This is the 1st time they've ever had such freedom in their year of lives. What a terrific place. So peaceful and I think the dogs were overwhelmed by having so much freedom, but it was great for all of us all of us. Thank you and we will be back on a regular basis.

Great spot! My 7 month old lab loves the pool and playing fetch running in and out of the pool. I met the owner today and she was concerned about them being outside, if it would bother Baxter. Nothing bothers him! Clean, well equipped, even antibacterial hand wipes. Lots of places to sniff and be a dog off leash. He goes to doggy daycare but this is an opportunity for he and I to bond and practice recall and him focusing and checking in with me. Highly recommend and it is located near my veterinary clinic!

Endless opportunities galore for you & your dog in a safe area! Only reason we showed up later was because I thought we had to pay the Bear Brook State Park fee— let it be known you don’t need to! 😅 My dog had just as much fun as I did. We’ll definitely be returning!

As always a great spot! There was a little hiccup in the beginning because I think bookings got messed up so when we first arrived at 11:30 there were still people & their 2 pups in the yard, so our reactive pup struggled with that since there is normally a 30 minute buffer between sniffspot guests. I don’t think this was the hosts fault but instead something messed up with the bookings on Sniffspots end. Just wanted our other reactive pup parents to know there could sometimes be problems if bookings mess up on sniffspot! Otherwise, great spot as always.

Another great visit to Canine Camp! We love it here and come weekly (or more 😁). I am amazed that there is something new or changed each time we come. Not sure about Jethro but I appreciate the beautiful plantings that are fenced for obvious reasons! We are able to do so many things, he gets alone sniffing time, we play ball, Jethro LOVES the jolly ball, some parkour, he’s been doing all 3 jumps right in a row 🐶 and I’m able to do a lot of training disguised as play, especially distance getting his attention and recall.

This is one of the best is not the best sniffspot in the country. Beyond that they continue to have improvements. The new pool was awesome, and it actually provided confidence for my nervous dog to get in. They keep the place in top shape!

This is a wonderful place with all the dog amenities you could possibly want. The well fenced in area is huge with lots of space to run and sniff. Our dog Scarlett had a wonderful time smelling (and marking) the whole yard and eventually playing fetch. We will be back!
