Sarah's 1000 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Cochrane

Hello! We are a working ranch west of Cochrane Alberta in the gorgeous foothills. Along with gorgeous scenery you will also enjoy endless space do you and your dog. Please be aware that it is very rural. There is tons of uneven terrain/fallen logs/gopher holes and that there is the possibility of wildlife encounters including bears/cougars. Please be fully prepared for this with appropriate hiking equipment. Please contact us directly to book so that we can suggest which part of the property would best suit you and your dogs needs.

Little Creek Private Park

( $10 CAD or $8 USD) and you will be emailed exact directions to the farm upon booking ***** Located East of Black Diamond Alberta surrounded by farmland, We are welcoming furry friends and their amazing owners to enjoy our 5 acres private dog park. This fully fenced area contains a creek and hills for you to explore. We ask that bookings are kept private with additional dogs being private play dates. *****The map doesn’t show our exact location, we are just east of Black Diamond. See access instructions that are emailed to you once booked for exact location.****** It’s really important to us to keep the area clean and well looked after. So please don’t pick any flowers or trees, leave everything the way you found it and enjoy some time with nature and your dog! If you have any waste please take it with you. Note the price is charged in USD. ( $10 CAD or $8 USD) It is a US app and we are unable to change the currency at this time. Recommendations: -we recommend hiking shoes or decent footwear -tall socks or long pants are good to have in some areas -there is no path that can accommodate a stroller so we would recommend a hiking backpack for very small children *The hose to the park to spray off the dogs is on for the summer, it’s at the top of the hill south of the benches hanging on the fence. * * We are surrounded by farmland, so there could be cows, horses, chickens near the park depending on the time of year*

***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD*** We have two areas for use. Mountain View and Water Meadow..each is to be booked separately. Water Meadow is 2 acres of sheep-fenced area. There is a mostly dried-up dugout at the far end (water in spring and early summer). If your dog does not have great recall, and you don't want them in the dug-out area, you might want to use Mountain View. Mountain View is .9 acres of sheep-fenced area. ****I require that all dogs be vaccinated for Parvo and Distemper. Bring your own water and pick up after your dog. Parking is on the driveway, outside of the access gates, which are labeled. Please be sure to close the gates during use and after you leave.

Do something different with your dog. Get your dog’s mind and nose working. Bring your dog’s favourite tasty treats and get them to work for it, by hiding them in one of 100+ hiding spots. You can either fill all hiding spots or hide a few pieces or anything in between. (Make it easy by putting treats everywhere. Make it harder, only hide a handful.) You can repeat as many times as you want during your booking. Either ninja hide as your dog finds. Or work on your dog’s stay while you hide some more. Have two dogs? Have them go at the same time or split the time up and let each have a turn. (If the dog’s resource guard it would be best if they go at separate times.) My two Aussies had a great time at Little Creek! It is just beautiful and there is plenty to explore and sniff for an hour. The creek is great, especially on a sunny day. There is a hose available, which was awesome; we didn't have to put our muddy pups straight back into the car. Also, we heeded the advice about long pants and good shoes - - do it, even if it is warm outside, it will make your visit far more pleasant, LOL! We will definitely return to Little Creek whenever we are in the area.

Great spot! The driveway was icy and we got stuck…Kaleigh right away was nice enough to send her brother in law to help get us out right away! Once we got inside the area was very secure and lots of space for the dog to run around! Worth the drive for sure! Definitely gave us an adventure and we will definitely come back. I loved the little agility tunnels at the top of the hill area. ☺️

This spot is awesome! My dogs can't wait for their weekly visit. I have one car/bird/deer/squirrel chaser and one dog who can get a bit reactive around other dogs, so this fenced paradise is perfect for both of them.

Our 4 dogs had loads of fun playing in the fresh snow! The creek was easily visible wish was nice for the dogs to avoid it in this cold weather. Still lots of paths to walk around and play, didn’t have any problems with ice. Will definitely come again for some snow playtime!
