The are is fully fenced, with a pooper scooper, trash can and water bowl. We have 4 resident dogs that love exploring the scents left behind by visiting dogs. Two of them work as herding dogs, one is a paraplegic chihuahua (which really has no farm job) and the last one is a livestock guardian who does take her job very seriously. Fortunately, your booking will give us enough time to have the dogs secured before visitors. The swimming pool is for dog use only. Parking on the street only-please do not park anywhere on the property or driveway. We need that area clear for people coming and going. Country Serenity is a 1/2 acre fully fenced non-irrigated pasture which is on our 20 acre farm. The spot is partially covered with medium bark to keep down the weeds and native grass. FYI - the spring biting gnats have appeared. Recommend using bug repellent and wearing clothing and shoes to minimize exposure. Morning times are typically better- they like heat. Given our rural location, foxtails, stickers and other nuisance weeds do exist, especially along the fence lines, as we do not use herbicides. Please come prepared for these conditions and gauge your risk tolerance for your pet. Risks may include foxtails, stickers, ticks, mosquitos, gnats, flies, uneven ground, mud. Hours of operation are generally 7:30 am-7:30 pm, but no lighting is provided so hours fluctuate with the dawn and dusk. Adjacent to the dog park is a barn with 2 friendly dwarf goats and some chickens. Enjoy the views of our olive orchard, a seasonal pond and 360 degree panorama of beautiful farmland right from the park. Please be aware that this is a working farm in an agricultural area so you may see and hear farm equipment and crop dusters in the vicinity.
