Our dogs love walking the trails, sprinting through the woods, and diving through the prairie grasses. We love offering other pups the chance to enjoy it too! The trails are mostly wooded, and there is a ravine with a small creek (often dry in the summer). There are areas of trails, woods, prairie, and mowed grass. There is a barbed-wire fence marking the property line around the property, however it is not fully-fenced. Your dog will need to know to stay close enough to you or respond to your calls. **No shared water dish provided currently due to Canine Flu going on in the state. Hi, welcome to Rosie's Spot. Rosie is our Yorkie who we love and cherish :) 🐾 Our home is conveniently located in the heart of Rogers off of 101. Nestled on our elongated rectangular 6 acre property, the house and shed stand proudly at the forefront, while a sprawling open field and woods stretch out towards the back. 🌲Traversing the landscape are trails that run into the woods and on either side of the field inviting exploration and adventure. Feel free to also use the side yard as well right when you pull in. (House yard front and back off limits, this area is fertilized, and chickens will be here, .5 acre) Edges of property are partially fenced with old wire fencing (NOT BARBED) I marked edges with orange ribbon. 🟠 🦌Be prepared to encounter some wildlife during your stay. Pheasants, turkey, and deer frequent the area around us. 🚗Parking is conveniently located behind the shed upon your arrival. Please pull in by the garden on the left and park by the visitor parking sign (as seen in pictures). And please, we kindly ask that you clean up after your dog and dispose of it in the trash provided. Hand sanitizer, doggie bags, treats, and toys are provided. Just want to disclaim that we are brand new to this and are trying to navigate what people want most out of a great Sniffspot ☺️ We are making improvements to our spot every day based on guest feedback and making plans for the future as well! We hope you’ll come check us out! Our land is partially wooded, with open spots to run. There is a short roundabout path but the woods you can walk through too (I take my dogs through the woods you just might want to wear tear-resistant clothes). We are working on creating more designated paths now that we’ve seen some interest! **Concerning the cleanliness percentage**: We have wildlife come through a LOT, coyotes especially, so there might randomly be bones and things to be aware of, and a fair share deer poop! We try to let the wild be wild because we love our wildlife and want a nice spot for them too. Otherwise there is lots of good sniffing and running to do. There is some burdock we are working on eliminating slowly (we do not use chemicals). No other real hazards you wouldn’t find on a normal wilderness hike. We do have some stuff by the house but not out on the actual land. **The property has a ‘fence’ so as you explore you can see where our property ends as you walk with no worry of going off our land, but it is not an appropriate fence for containing dogs that need it.**

This is such a wonderful resource for dogs who cannot go to regular dog parks! I take my dog and follow the trails throughout the property and she gets so much sniff time and exercise that she sleeps for a whole day afterward! As always perfectly maintained property. My 3 Aussies love going down the hill to explore the stream and ravine area, and jumping over logs. We enjoy how quiet the area is and feeling immersed in the woods. All left happy and tired! We were there later in the day, just before sunset. There was a good size owl sitting in a tree that flew overhead. Pretty cool to see.

With the change of season there are definitely more open areas where the fencing is down. Just be aware and have good recall. The road was the only place I had to be on top of the dogs and their recall. Cars zoom by fast and there are parts with no fencing. But as always we had a great time!!

This is probably the largest and most bio diverse sniff spot we have been. There are a ton of trails, we spend the entire hour walking around.

Katie was so understanding of this and I felt safe to explore the area. I did find it helpful to look at the map that the host sends beforehand, and would suggest that future visitors do this and have it saved on their phone. Also take note of the host description regarding the semi enclosed nature of the space. Suggest leaving your dog on leash until you have a good sense of the space and how your dog is responding to you before considering off-leash. Although we had 3 consecutive days of rain, this spot is THE best in the area for you and your dog(s). The woods, the fields, the ravines, the bridge, the creek, the trail--all of it gorgeous and well-maintained. This time of year, wear your waterproof hiking treads. Bring towels for the pups. I'll bring an Ecollar for my trained-but-ornery lab, who wanted to cross the dirt road and visit the farm across the way! My other two listened and stayed with me. I brought treats, though, and thank goodness for his food motivation. Know your dog; come prepared, and enjoy!! We're so fortunate that Katie shares her lovely acreage, year round!

We love this spot! It's our absolute favorite! Lots of space for the dogs to run. Great hills, & trails in the woods. It even has a bridge over a little creek, it's beautiful. You need good recall if you take the leash off of your dog, but either way it is a perfect SniffSpot!
