🐾 Welcome to Maxie The first private swimming pool in the area with spacious backyard to explore, designed just for dogs to splash, swim, and have fun! 🌞 About the Pool -Chlorinated and professionally cleaned weekly. -Pool depth & entry steps: The pool goes up to 9 ft deep on the east side, but most of the west side is waist-high shallow water. There are 3 wide steps where dogs can easily enter, rest, or leave the pool. -Dog life jackets in XS/S/M/L sizes, pool toys, and treats available. -The water temperature depends on sunshine and weather (not a jacuzzi or gas-heated pool). - Trees provide shade during most of the daytime in the backyard for guests to sit and relax. -The backyard has a mix of stone, mulch, pebbles, and turf, giving dogs plenty of textures and areas to explore. -A few extras provided: sunscreen, wipes, and dog treats to make your visit easier. ✨ Before You Book -This is a dog pool, so the focus is for your pups to enjoy the water. Even though we clean after every visit and run the filter constantly, dogs naturally bring in hair, oils, dust, and dirt. My home is in South San Jose and a beautiful safe and quiet neighborhood in Almaden Valley. We live on a quiet cul-de-sac and our house faces a creek with a wonderful walking trail that is dog friendly. There are plenty of nearby parks for hiking or walking right outside my door or a short 5 minute drive from our house. I currently do not have a dog but I did so my backyard is set up for dogs with newer artificial turf for 2 lawn areas. I have multiple safe watering vessels for birds and dogs. There is no pesticides used in my yard or harmful chemicals. I have an organic home garden. I have a large patio set with a new large umbrella and chairs that you are welcome to use. There are water bowls and two hoses and water to refill any water bowls at opposite ends of the yard. We just ask that you are responsible and respectful with our things and our property and home. We recently remodeled and one of the upgrades and renovations was putting in the artificial lawns. Please pick up after your dogs and yourself and you may use our garbage or recycling can on the side of the house to dispose of waste or trash.

I have a large space that I am sure a dog will love to run in. In the winter, post rain, it can get VERY muddy back there. Years of dogs running around has torn up a lot of the ground cover and it's now just dirt, which becomes mud in the winter. In the summer, the "grass" (more weeds than actual grass) gets very dry. There are some burrs due to the dryness so if your dog has longer fur they might get some attached to them. I do my best to weed the weeds that produce them, but there still might be some. It's a fairly large open space with a longer run on the side. Also, I want to note that in the back of the property the fence is lower, around 4/4.5 feet (the rest of the yard is at least 6 feet), so if your dog is a good jumper, this could be an issue.
