There are 3 wide steps where dogs can easily enter, rest, or leave the pool. -Dog life jackets in XS/S/M/L sizes, pool toys, and treats available. -Solar-heated by the sun through solar panels, so water temperature depends on sunshine and weather (not a jacuzzi or gas-heated pool). This is a private, undeveloped, forested spot. If you are interested in this spot, you and your dog should be up for a mini adventure. This spot is not a manicured, backyard park. It is wild and beautiful, and a rare find in this area. THERE IS NO TRASH SERVICE AT THIS FOREST LOCATION. PACK EVERYTHING OUT WITH YOU, INCLUDING DOG POOP BAGGIES. The trail starts at the west (downhill) end of the parking spot, and winds downhill to the creek (there are a couple of switchbacks). The trail from the parking area to the creek is less than 5 minutes long. At the bottom of the trail, is a deck. Beyond the deck is a year-round creek with a swimming hole. There are fish, frogs, newts, and crawdads. All wildlife is protected, so please don't catch or remove them. You may walk up and down along the creek exploring, as long as you turn around before the bend that is downstream. The trail that leads downhill to the creek is intermediate, not for beginners or flip-flops. There should be no poison oak or ticks on the trail, but if you venture off the trail, you may encounter poison oak or ticks. There are blackberry bushes to the sides of the trail that resemble poison oak. There should be no foxtails. You may see wild animals. As a wild spot, you may encounter typical hazards that are present in most local forest trails, such as wildlife, water, and trip-and-fall hazards. This is a private spot, and there should be no other people or dogs during your booking. If you see someone during your booking, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can take steps to prevent them from trespassing again. There is no lighting at this spot, so if you book before sunrise or after sunset, please bring a headlamp or flashlight. Maximum 2 people per dog. There is no trash collection service at this location, so please pack out any trash. Thank you!

Picking fruit or vegetable etc. is off the limit. Drinking water for animals is provided in various containers throughout the property. Please do not turn on or use any water equipment on our property - we had some serious problems in the past because of this. Please clean up after your dog’s “business” - smile. That’s a serious and mandatory request. Poop bags are available in the plastic box with the other dog gear, but please bring your own backup supply just in case and do not leave the poop bags behind. BROWN garbage can is in the front of the house by the street for your convenience. Thank you! Woof woof! 🌸 Note: in the rainy season we might not change the water for dogs because it’s senseless. My home is in South San Jose and a beautiful safe and quiet neighborhood in Almaden Valley. We live on a quiet cul-de-sac and our house faces a creek with a wonderful walking trail that is dog friendly. There are plenty of nearby parks for hiking or walking right outside my door or a short 5 minute drive from our house. I currently do not have a dog but I did so my backyard is set up for dogs with newer artificial turf and 2 lawn areas. Please note I do have two indoor cats, which should not be a problem unless your dog is not a fan of cats and will get reactive. Please message me preferably a day ahead of time or at least hours ahead of time so that I can prepare and make sure that the back three sliders have the blinds and shutters closed at least at dog eye level.😊 I want everyone to enjoy their experience especially the dogs, and I don’t want my cats scared to death either! I cannot guarantee you that they won’t necessarily try to peek out and see why there are dogs in their yard because they are cats after all, but for the most part they will cooperate. This works out fairly well from what I’ve experienced and seen. We ask that you please not let your dog scratch or dig on the turf as that could damage them. I have multiple safe watering vessels for birds and dogs. There is no pesticides used in my yard or harmful chemicals. I have an organic home garden. The same thing goes with the garden so please make sure your dogs do not get into it as I have put a lot of time, love, sweat and labor to have a thriving garden. I have a large patio set with a new large umbrella and padded chairs that you are welcome to use. There are water bowls and two hoses and water to refill any water bowls at opposite ends of the yard. We just ask that you are responsible and respectful with our things and our property and home. We recently remodeled and one of the upgrades and renovations was putting in the artificial lawns. Please pick up after your dogs and yourself if you bring food or a snack and you may use our garbage or recycling can on the side of the house to dispose of waste or trash. **** Please arrive on time and please book a minimum of 30 minutes in advance. This spot is only to be booked between 8am and 7pm daily. No booking before or after those hours. Also please only 2 human guests max with the dogs. Thank you!*** Great yard with 6ft fence all around it in West Oakland. Perfect for hanging out or training with your dog or letting him or her roam free for an hour (or more!) while you get things done. Completely secured with extra gate between font and backyard. All breeds and dogs of any size are welcome but please leave yard as you found it (broom and trash can provided!) The spot is walking distance to West Oakland Bart station (About 10-12 minute walk). We have neighbors on either side of our home but it’s a very quiet neighborhood overall. Please do note that occasionally you can hear a dog barking from houses in the neighborhood or voices of neighbors enjoying their yard. There are chairs and a coffee table on the patio for your use, if desired, while your dogs explores. A bowl with water and a hose is provided.
