Nehemiah lane dog farm

Unfenced
30 acres

The property includes 30 unfenced acres of tall grass, trees, and quiet trails. The main trail makes up the perimeter of the property. It is 1 mile long and you will need to traverse underneath the bridge to Accsess the second half. There is limited access to the Yamhill River on both sides of the bridge. Some areas will be swampy during the winter and spring, especially in the lower sections. Please be aware of common forest hazards such as blackberry bushes, poison oak, nettles, and the occasional downed tree. There are no homes, restrooms or residents on the property only neighbors and a small garden area. You are welcome to explore both sides of the bridge. While there are "No Trespassing" signs posted near it, they are only intended to discourage the local homeless community. During the summer and fall, feel free to enjoy the fruit growing throughout the property most of which is at the far NW end of the grass road near the entrance. Deer and a variety of birds also call this place home and are best left undisturbed. You will find a couple of chairs and a small table set out for you to enjoy a quiet moment or watch the sunset. Please be respectful of our neighbors and remember to pick up after yourself and your dogs. Much of the property is being reforested in partnership with the USDA. / NRCS and is intentionally wild. If you bring kids feel free to use the swings at your own risk. Have a great time, Joshua

Dog park in the forest near Bellfountain.

Partially Fenced
25 acres

The property is a horse ranch on 25 acres surrounded by private forest. There is a shallow year round creek that is refreshingly cold and also a large pond that your dog can swim in. There are hiking trails that start at the edge of the property. The trails are mostly uphill. The outdoor and indoor arenas are available for an extra fee. They are mostly dog proof for large dogs but not escape proof for small dogs. The horses wander around the property early in the morning so if your dog chases horses it should be kept on a leash around the horses. I recommend that I show you around your first time out here. To get here you must be prepared to drive down 5 miles of gravel road. There is a gate to get into the property. The gate code will be sent to you with the welcoming message. Cell phone signals are weak once you get on the gravel so check the pre-visit message sent two hours before the appointment before you get out of cell service.

55We were lucky enough to be the first visitors here! Always a little nervous going to a spot without any reviews but I talked with the host prior to our visit and had a good feeling. This spot is amazing and I know it’s quickly going to become a super popular one. It’s only about 20 minutes outside of portland. The signage is clear from the second you pull into the property. It leads you down a gravel road to a parking area near a field and pond. I was a little hesitant about the spot being unfenced but the host assured me we wouldn’t see anyone and we didn’t. You are pretty tucked away so it feels extremely private. We heard and saw eagles! I felt super comfortable letting my dog run around which doesn’t happen very often. There were multiple trash cans, poop stations with bags and rakes, throw toys, and a couple of water stations. There was ample shade. The host has multiple places for you to sit including a hammock, chairs and a bench. The pond is very accessible and my dog loved romping around it— there’s even a ruffwear life jacket and towels. It seems there are big things in the work for this spot including a toilet and multiple trails. We are very excited to come back and watch it grow! Can’t wait to come back!

55I am so grateful to have learned that businesses like this exist. My dogs well socialized and well-trained, including trained to be off leash, But there are so few places I can take them where they can be off leash and not be fenced in.They won’t play in dog parks, they stand around and guard me even when we’re surrounded by dogs and people they are very familiar with. We visited Sapphire Point for the first time this morning and will most definitely come back again and again. This was perfect. They loved running on the trails, exploring the forested areas, and playing with two of their friends in the Meadow. Thank you for sharing this beautiful property.

It was such a blessing to get to watch my leash reactive pups be free and get to be themselves on the trails. Mom got a workout too! And we got to hear so many beautiful birds— swainsons thrush, lazuli bunting, spotted towhee, song sparrows, and stellar jays. What a wonderful time spent with my lovely creatures in a beautiful piece of the forest. We will be back! 🐾🌳🏔️

55Sapphire is a wonderland of hiking trails and gorgeous scenery. I almost don’t want to write a review because once everyone goes it’ll be booked out forever. If you do decompression walks with your dogs, this is exactly what you’ve been looking for. My pup and I both had a fantastic time. Exceptionally easy parking, complete with an adorable farm stand. The entire property is well-maintained, with well-marked trails. It wouldn’t surprise me if the folks running this had trail maintenance experience. Great covered seating area that stayed dry despite the rain. It was misty when we went, and being able to take a dry seat and towel myself and my pup off before heading out was wonderful. Bring your hiking boots, and yaktrax if it’s wet & muddy. This isn’t a tennis shoe trip. You’ll also want to carry water/snack for yourself and your pup because going back to the car is all uphill all the way, and you’re going to want to stay below and explore. Go. Your pup will thank you.

Frequently asked questions about Grand Ronde dog hiking trails

Where can I find dog hiking trails in Grand Ronde?

Grand Ronde has 11 private dog hiking trails available through Sniffspot, offering natural exploration and varied terrain in completely private settings. These locations range from compact spaces to properties spanning 30+ acres. Whether you need a space for your reactive dog, puppy socialization, senior dog gentle exercise, or high-energy play, Grand Ronde dog hiking trails provide safe, private environments. Filter for "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, or fencing types to find your perfect match.

How many dog hiking trails are in Grand Ronde?

Grand Ronde offers 11 dog hiking trails ranging from compact spaces to properties spanning acres. You'll find options such as dog field, fully fenced dog park, dog agility park, and more. Each Grand Ronde dog hiking trail listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are Grand Ronde dog hiking trails good for all dog types?

Yes! Grand Ronde dog hiking trails work for every dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer without large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space, and reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the environment they need. Browse Grand Ronde's 11 options to find spaces matching your dog's specific temperament and needs.

Will I encounter other dogs at Grand Ronde dog hiking trails?

Not a chance. Grand Ronde dog hiking trails operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Grand Ronde owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are Grand Ronde dog hiking trails safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Yes! Grand Ronde dog hiking trails provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment without overwhelming encounters. Many Grand Ronde dog owners specifically choose dog hiking trails for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Can puppies use Grand Ronde dog hiking trails?

Absolutely! Grand Ronde dog hiking trails are excellent for puppy socialization because they're private and controlled. Puppies can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment, practice recall, and build confidence without the overwhelming chaos that can create fear or reactivity in young dogs. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best dog hiking trail in Grand Ronde?

Start by filtering Grand Ronde's 11 dog hiking trails for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Grand Ronde's Sassy Fox Farm with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Grand Ronde owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are Grand Ronde's dog hiking trail requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Grand Ronde host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog hiking trails welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
