Your attendance has allowed us to continue development of our Disney Land for dogs and being a contributor to the Portland Humane Society. Toward that end this is what we have to offer at present with more to come. Two main walking trails, with two offshoot trail loops at present. Signage is there at each to help you in and out of each. Each has a selection of walking sticks at the trailhead, should you choose to use them. Appropriate good grip footwear is recommended especially during our monsoon season. Trail one, the shorter of the two, is about 25 minutes give or take, and takes a degree of dexterity more than trail too. Trail two contains two loops trails that take 30 to 45 minutes there and back to the parking area. The trail has two rest areas to sit with umbrellas to keep the rain off when needed. Trail 2, loop two has large Vern plant areas like you may have seen in the Jurassic Park movies. There are (2) Two parking areas, one much larger for up to 25 cars to accommodate larger group events. The 2nd is at the top of the hill b4 you go down into valley were you will see a sign letting you know that if your early you can park there till your designated reservation time. At the bottom you will find a porta potty for your convenience with a lighted pathway after the sun has set. For your convenience you will find seven Poop Depots with bag dispensers throughout the park. A guest ( Mark) donated a fire hydrant as a much appreciated pee station for many pups. There are two water play areas. The preferable one is now down by our inlet water pipes. Its a shallow pool area feed by spring water, so there is no concern about algae. We call it the pup self wash area because it’s only belly deep and is an absolute favorite of the pups to play in. It’s also proved to help pups who might be afraid or timid of playing in water to investigate it a little more. The other is the larger man-made pond area. This at one time was a large beautiful pond, that we had invested a large amount of money to development a Doggie Dock Dive. We had also a selection of small watercraft to help acclimate pups to being on the water with a parent. It included a selection of different size lifejackets for parents and pups. Floatable toys for retrieval were nearby. All that however became unusable because our neighbor who controls the water level with a dam did not like us having a private dog park and said if we didn’t shut it down he would just empty the pond, which he ultimately did and mow as a result has become a mud flat. We have a solution that will bring the level back up and have set up a Go Fund Me to help us with that expense. Any donation would receive a gift certificate to show our appreciation. They can use it for their own use or it can be given to a non Sniff Spot member to use at our park for various functions. Our Muddy Paw Spa has multiple cleaning brushes, paw wash cups, a spray hose and the more favorite is a water spray wash glove that sprays water out of the palm of the glove. This is an important option especially during our monsoon season to clean pups and shoes before getting into the car. Included, are multiple towels to dry off your pup, and a close line to hang the wet towels on to dry off. In the area where you see all the picnic tables, you will see a Doggie Dig Box filled with beach sand for those pups who have the need to just dig. Near to that is an upright 50 Pd “Tug of War” that big pups love. Next is a childrens play area to play in and on. We installed a tetherball for the children, but soon learned that the pups love playing with it, who would have guessed? Down from the children’s play area is a comprehensive agility course with all the obstacles that you would see on the YouTube obstacle course events. Love seeing the pups racing around that. Multiple toy stations. If on your visit, you would like to donate unused toys for other pups to enjoy that would certainly be appreciated. A long mowed area above the pond for long distance ball and frisbee retrieval. They’re also a few frisbee catchers there to practice frisbee throwing accuracy. Long, medium range and putter frisbees are provided. A 10 x 10 doggy dig sandbox for those pups to enjoy digging. A tug-of-war for those pups will enjoy a good tug. The picnic area has been expanded to accommodate pup, birthday parties, pup, groups, and family gatherings. For those bringing young children, a swingset. Solar lighting around trees, parking area and the porta potty will help to illuminate these areas when darkness falls. There are water dispensers with water bowls. There is another area being developed presently that will become an urban agility course.

Please reserve your time a minimum of an hour ahead of time. We are a working farm and can't always be checking the app. We have logging roads and fields open to dog owners. Enjoy our scenic 120-acre farm with your puppies. Please feel free to leave a review. The landscape is unmanicured and slightly wild with quail, rabbits, and deer frequenting the area daily. A new forest has been planted, and the baby trees we ask to be left at peace to grow. We might be out working somewhere else on the farm and hope to see the blackberries slowly diminish, making this place more hospitable every year.

Nehemiah lane dog farm

Unfenced
30 acres

The property includes 30 unfenced acres of tall grass, trees, and quiet trails. The main trail makes up the perimeter of the property. It is 1 mile long and you will need to traverse underneath the bridge to Accsess the second half. There is limited access to the Yamhill River on both sides of the bridge. Some areas will be swampy during the winter and spring, especially in the lower sections. Please be aware of common forest hazards such as blackberry bushes, poison oak, nettles, and the occasional downed tree. There are no homes, restrooms or residents on the property only neighbors and a small garden area. You are welcome to explore both sides of the bridge. While there are "No Trespassing" signs posted near it, they are only intended to discourage the local homeless community. During the summer and fall, feel free to enjoy the fruit growing throughout the property most of which is at the far NW end of the grass road near the entrance. Deer and a variety of birds also call this place home and are best left undisturbed. You will find a couple of chairs and a small table set out for you to enjoy a quiet moment or watch the sunset. Please be respectful of our neighbors and remember to pick up after yourself and your dogs. Much of the property is being reforested in partnership with the USDA. / NRCS and is intentionally wild. If you bring kids feel free to use the swings at your own risk. Have a great time, Joshua

Private Forest Trails with Warm Water Dog Wash – 5 Acres

Unfenced
5 acres

About Us & Bentley We live on 7 forested acres near Banks/Hillsboro with our heeler mix, Bentley, who loves greeting new pups. We are conviently located just off hwy 26, 15 min from 185th and Intel. We opened up our trails so other dogs can enjoy the same space he does. Happy to chat about your pup's needs before you visit! About the Space Explore 5 acres of well-maintained forest trails winding through hilly, wooded terrain — the kind of place where the light filters through the canopy and your pup can really run and frolic to their heart's content. The trails loop extensively, giving dogs plenty of ground to cover without ever feeling repetitive — lots of turns, dips, and rises to keep a curious nose busy. Amenities: -Hot water spigot to rinse muddy paws. Shampoo provided for post-hike washes — please check the ingredients, and feel free to bring your own if your pup has sensitive skin -Cozy forest seating for a quiet moment on the trail -Table and chairs at the entrance for check-in -Doggie bags and dog cookies provided -The restroom may not always be available but our house is located 5 min from both the town of Banks and the town of North Plains. -Conveniently located off Hwy 26. 15 min from Intel, Costco and 185th. Trail Terrain These trails are a genuine workout — we use them for exercise ourselves. Expect rolling hills and climbs, with short flat stretches in between. Prefer something easier? Stick to the center trail, which stays mostly flat. Plan for at least 20 minutes for a full loop at a relaxed pace. House Rules Dogs must stay leashed until you reach the off-leash sign before the trails begin. Our property line is marked with pink ribbon — please stay on our side and don't let your pup cross it. Property is not fenced. Off-leash dogs should have solid recall, especially near the road. Terrain is hilly with uneven forest footing — solid shoes recommended (though we've done it in flip flops). Please clean up after your pup — waste bags provided, or bring your own. You can leave the bags on the trails and we will dispose of them. Stay on marked trails and out of garden beds, greenhouse, and planted areas. No access to the hot tub area. No smoking or open flames.

55Amazing second visit for us. Love that there are multiple activities for my dog. She doesn’t really play with toys, so having trails, agility area, and water area is wonderful. She loves nose work, and there are so many spots to hide treats for “find it”. Well labelled drive way, and directions on where to park. Great signage throughout. Multiple areas to get water and dispose of poop bags. Loved the photo area. My dog reactive pooch has such a blast here, and you can see her confidence shine. They also have a porta potty for humans, many seating areas, and play ground for human kids. Also LOVE that there is wash station to clean up after a swim.

55This property is very well put together, you can tell there’s a lot of thought and effort put into building and maintaining a quality environment for your animals to visit. As stated in the listing, it does get muddy and a little slick but with a good pare of boots/ hiking shoes it’s no issue whatsoever. My dog Monkey and I had a blast!

55It's been awhile since we've been to this spot and I'm truly amazed by how much has been added for an even better experience. This was our favorite spot before and it just continues to get better with time. As always, my dog (and I!) had a blast. The host was kind enough to warn about some muddy areas and give us extra time since no one was booked after us. Definitely a must try spot!

55This is a great spot and obviously Ray and Janet have done a TON of work to make this an absolute blast for dogs.....right now it is VERY muddy!! The pond is thick MUD that my dog almost got stuck in. There is a good place to take dogs in the water up by trail 2 where the stream comes into the pond and a great agility course. We will be back but probably not until spring. Ray is doing a ton of work, making a new dock and place for dogs to get in the water, etc.

55Kermits favorite place! For a dog who is super reactive and can’t handle other dogs or people, it’s a game changer to be able to have access to a place like this. Kermit truly never looks happier than when he’s ripping around the mud and sniffing out the trails!

55Huge property with so many trails and activities! The toys and towels were a great touch too. It was muddy this time of year but we were well prepared. The only slight mishap was my pup running into the pond area and nearly sinking completely into the mud.

55This was our dogs Bowser and Luna’s second trip to this Sniffspot, and it was fantastic. Its been a while since we have went to a sniff spot but we hope to be able to do it more :) They had the best time ever exploring the giant free-running space, playing with the toys, and splashing in the open water. It’s such a great setup and perfect for all the pups. Highly recommend—we’ll absolutely be back, again!

55Incredible location with so much to do for pups of any size and energy level. We ran our dogs through the agility course, played frisbee and hiked a trail. There are multiple poop bag stations, drinking water, a muddy paws wash station, clear signage, well maintained paths. It’s very clear these hosts are working hard to keep a well maintained and functional space for dogs to enjoy freedom. My dogs have good recall, but the natural valley setting creates boundaries that even a dog that ignores you would respect.

55We thoroughly enjoyed this SniffSpot! The owners are so kind and it's easy to see that they truly care about dogs and giving visitors a great experience. We really appreciated that. The property has several trails, an agility course, and pond that our dogs loved. Bring sturdy shoes and clothes that can get wet and muddy. There's so much to do that an hour almost wasn't enough. I can see how awesome it would be to hang out here in the summer. We'll definitely be back, and next time we'll help spread mulch on the muddy areas.

55Ray is so kind. He came down and brought some kindling to help us get a fire going. We’ve been going here for years. It really is the best sniff spot. New trails being added all the time. You can spend hours here. Go hiking then come hang by a nice warm fire. Perfect during these colder months. Always appreciate the time and effort that’s put into this place. Thanks as always Ray!

55This spot is a dogs Disneyland for sure. Both our girls had their needs met while testing out the agility course, swimming in the creek, and running around the forest at top speed. We can't wait to come back!

55Awesome sniff spot! So much to do and see, the dogs loved the trails and the pond and the humans loved making them go through the agility course! We didn’t have time to explore the whole property but we’ll definitely be back. Boots and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty required right now after all the rain!

Frequently asked questions about Tualatin dog hiking trails

What types of dog hiking trails are available in Tualatin?

Tualatin has 24 dog hiking trails offers wooded trails, open meadows, and varied natural terrain. Whether you need a fully-fenced space for poor recall, a quiet location for a reactive dog, appropriate sizing for small breeds, gentle terrain for seniors, or specific amenities like water features or agility equipment, you'll find options in Tualatin. Filter by fencing, size, distractions, and amenities to match your needs.

When can I book dog hiking trails in Tualatin?

Tualatin dog hiking trails are available based on host scheduling—many operate dawn to dusk or even 24/7. Unlike public dog parks with rigid hours, you choose the exact time that works for you. Check individual Tualatin listings for specific availability. Flexible scheduling is especially helpful for dogs with specific needs: reactive dogs who do better during quieter times, working dog owners needing early/late slots, or seniors needing cooler morning hours.

How do I book a dog hiking trail in Tualatin?

Browse 24 available dog hiking trails in Tualatin, select your preferred date and time, and reserve through Sniffspot. Most Tualatin locations offer instant booking. You'll receive confirmation, exact address, and entry instructions. The booking process takes just minutes—perfect when your dog needs exercise, whether that's a reactive dog requiring safe space, a puppy needing socialization, or an energetic dog burning off steam.

What's the most popular dog hiking trail in Tualatin?

Sauvie Island, Riverfront, Field, 40 Acres, swing on River is highly rated among Tualatin dog hiking trails, known for excellent amenities and positive reviews. However, the "best" spot depends on your dog's needs—reactive dogs might prioritize privacy and quiet, puppies might need secure fencing, seniors might want flat terrain, while active dogs might want maximum running space. Browse Tualatin listings to find your ideal match.

Can I use Tualatin dog hiking trails for training sessions?

Yes! Tualatin dog hiking trails are perfect for training because they're private and distraction-free. Work on recall, practice trail recall in natural environments, leash manners on varied terrain, or hiking endurance building, help reactive dogs build confidence, socialize puppies, or work on obedience—all without public dog park unpredictability. Many Tualatin professional trainers use these spaces for client sessions with all types of dogs.

Do Tualatin dog hiking trails accommodate multiple dogs?

Most Tualatin dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings for specifics). If you have several dogs—especially if some are reactive toward strange dogs or if you have mixed ages (puppies and seniors)—private dog hiking trails let them play together safely without outside interference or triggers.

What amenities do Tualatin dog hiking trails offer?

Tualatin dog hiking trails feature amenities like marked trail paths through natural terrain, open meadow areas for off-leash play, and shaded rest spots along the route. Many hosts provide extras: poop bags, water stations, toys, shaded seating, parking, even dog wash stations. Each Tualatin listing clearly shows what's available. Look for amenities matching your dog's needs: shade for heat-sensitive breeds, water for swimmers, agility for active dogs, or privacy features for anxious pets.

Are Tualatin dog hiking trails available year-round?

Many Tualatin hosts maintain their dog hiking trails throughout all seasons. Filter for covered or climate-controlled options if weather matters. Indoor dog hiking trails provide year-round access regardless of Tualatin weather conditions. Check individual listings for seasonal availability and policies.
