There's only one spot with irrigation so it gets dry, crackling, and some parts down to dirt in the summer. We do have an area that is grass for the dogs to roll around in. In the winter there can be a stream of water going through the middle of the pasture after rain. We have a Big water dish for dogs. Small pool for dogs to play in (we fill the pool every day, but can get the extra to have it freshly filled for your pup) Have toys and treats for the pups. Have friends with dogs?! Bring them all and come make a day of it! Feel free to bring a bbq, stereo, or games. Plenty of room for both the pups and the people to hang out and have a good time! We now have a porta potty for guests!! There are sheep in adjacent pasture certain times of the year but there is a 50+ foot buffer zone fenced off to keep sheep away from the fence.

Redwood Acre Ranch-1 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Orangevale

Welcome to Redwood Acre Ranch! Here we offer a dog park for your pup on a local farm. Our farm animals are secured behind a fenced area but close enough for your pup’s enrichment. The are is fully fenced, with a pooper scooper, trash can and water bowl. We have 4 resident dogs that love exploring the scents left behind by visiting dogs. Two of them work as herding dogs, one is a paraplegic chihuahua (which really has no farm job) and the last one is a livestock guardian who does take her job very seriously. Fortunately, your booking will give us enough time to have the dogs secured before visitors. The swimming pool is for dog use only. Parking on the street only-please do not park anywhere on the property or driveway. We need that area clear for people coming and going. In addition, spots on the property is reserved for the farm and house members. Thank you 🙏

FYI - during october- november we are harvesting in our olive orchard and there may be workers cars in the parking area. Given our rural location, foxtails, stickers and other nuisance weeds do exist, especially along the fence lines, as we do not use herbicides. Please come prepared for these conditions and gauge your risk tolerance for your pet. Risks may include foxtails, stickers, ticks, mosquitos, gnats, flies, uneven ground, mud. Hours of operation are generally 7:30 am-7:30 pm, but no lighting is provided so hours fluctuate with the dawn and dusk. Adjacent to the dog park is a barn with 2 friendly dwarf goats and some chickens. Enjoy the views of our olive orchard, a seasonal pond and 360 degree panorama of beautiful farmland right from the park. Please be aware that this is a working farm in an agricultural area so you may see and hear farm equipment and crop dusters in the vicinity. Let us know if you want to visit our farm store before or after your visit.
