Otis' Private Dog Park In Smyrna

Unfenced
25 acres

A hidden gem in the midst of Smyrna! Nested within the city limits is 25 acres of beauty and splendor - creeks, woods, field, trails, and a crystal clear spring. One side of the property is bordered by rock springs and has some natural fencing consistent with a century old farm and homestead. Walk back in time and enjoy the boundless scenery. Please be aware of the water features as the spring is deep and moves swiftly through the property. An abundance of wildlife live on the farm so don’t be surprised by deer, hawks, skunks, rabbits, raccoons and such. With a farm also comes briars, thorns, uneven ground, fox holes, mole tunnels, and of course, ticks and mosquitoes. So come prepared!

5 Acres Unfenced Private Land In Readyville

Unfenced
5 acres

There’s over 5 acres of land for your pet to explore! A long wooded driveway, front woods to explore, huge yard with grass always well-maintained, swings and fresh water are all available for you and your dog. We have several spots that are perfect for hanging a hammock in the trees so feel free to bring one! We have disc golf baskets you can enjoy if you have discs, a bench in the shade or swings to relax on. Dogs must be on a leash. We have a run line cable at the fire pit area for your use. We do not have a fenced in property and you will rarely hear or see dogs from other homes nearby. We occasionally have other animals come on our property as we live in the country and you may see rabbits, squirrels, deer, groundhogs, snakes and on very rare occasion armadillos. The house yard is sprayed for mosquitoes (safe for pets and humans), but please remember that ticks and other bugs live in the woods. There will always be a container of fresh water out at the back sidewalk or a faucet you can access. Please DO NOT bring your dogs on the porch or deck. Our own dog is inside the house and likes to think it is only her domain!

Paradise is waiting for you

Unfenced
10 acres

We recently bought a lil piece of heaven, 10 acres of paradise. Half is wooded and half is open land. Open field available for your babies to run on and an open spot in the woods to explore. The property line between us and our neighbors is marked with metal stakes so we ask that you keep your fur babies on our side. But feel free to explore the field of tall grass with trails winding through. We have a dry pond to explore and lots of room to throw a ball. We love it here. Once your done, you both will need a nap. There’s a hose out front of the house you can use to fill up water for your baby, and chairs at the walnut tree to relax in if you need a break. Feel free to walk the trails which come out near the fence closest to house and opposite side in field. Make you and your babies at home and enjoy paradise as much as we all do! See you soon!

BNP ranch off leash adventures

Partially Fenced
60 acres

We have 60 acres, split by an old logging road. The road is approximately 1.5 miles from the county road cutoff through the property. The elevation drops gradually from 950' to about 500' at the end. There's a perineal creek flowing through the property, that crosses over at a unique outcropping. Natural springs, varied terrain, and animal trails are abundant off the main road. It's a great place for off leash adventures, both for pets and pet parents!

Frequently asked questions about Lafayette dog hiking trails

Why are private dog hiking trails better than public dog parks in Lafayette?

Private dog hiking trails in Lafayette eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Lafayette's 15 private dog hiking trails offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Lafayette dog hiking trails compared to public dog parks?

Lafayette dog hiking trails are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Lafayette dog hiking trails eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Lafayette dog hiking trails safe for reactive dogs?

Lafayette owners of reactive dogs choose dog hiking trails because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy natural exploration and varied terrain while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Lafayette reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Lafayette dog hiking trails?

Yes! Lafayette dog hiking trails provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment at their own pace without stress. Many Lafayette dog hiking trails offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Lafayette dog hiking trails good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Lafayette dog hiking trails because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Lafayette avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog hiking trails eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Lafayette dog hiking trails work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Lafayette dog hiking trails because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Lafayette dog hiking trails with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Lafayette dog owners say about dog hiking trails?

Reviews of Lafayette dog hiking trails consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Otis' Private Dog Park In Smyrna is particularly praised in Lafayette. Read reviews to see real experiences from Lafayette dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are Lafayette dog hiking trails?

Lafayette hosts maintain their own dog hiking trails and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many Lafayette hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse Lafayette dog hiking trail listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
