Maplewood Private Farm Dog Park (5-acres)
Welcome to Nessel & Luna’s Private Farm Dog Park -- a peaceful 5-acre nature escape in south Maplewood near the Battle Creek area, just minutes from I-94 and McKnight. What makes this area special is the landscape itself -- the rolling hills, small valleys, mature trees, and natural contours that make homes here feel like private nature oases tucked into the suburbs. The property sits near the top of a hill, which makes for especially beautiful sunsets. This spot gives dogs a private place to run, sniff, explore, and decompress away from crowded public parks and constant dog traffic. The main fenced play area is approx 60 ft x 100 ft, with room for fetch, wandering, and off-leash play. Beyond the fenced area, the property opens into a natural, wooded setting with grass fields, trails, logs, branches, wildlife scents, and plenty of space for dogs who love to explore. The full property is not fenced, so long leashes are ideal outside the main play area. Dogs are allowed to roam and sniff while still staying within safe recall distance. You know your dog best, so please use your judgment and keep them safe and under control. Most neighbors have back fences that border our property. I’m also a builder/carpenter, and I’m constantly working to improve the play area and add new amenities so the space becomes more fun, useful, and enriching for dogs. Check back for future upgrades, including agility-style platforms, climbing features, a heavy-duty spring pole for dogs who love tug and high-energy play, a slatmill/treadmill, and a dedicated water play area during warmer months. There is also a campfire area available at no extra charge for guests who book visits longer than 3 hours. Please let me know ahead of time if you would like to use it. This is a great fit for dogs who need privacy, dogs who do not do well at public dog parks, dogs building confidence, working breeds with energy to burn, or owners who simply want a quiet, spacious place where their dog can be a dog. I just opened this Sniffspot recently, so I welcome guest feedback on how to keep improving the space and making it safer, easier, and more enjoyable for dogs and their people. Resident dogs (two) will be kept separate during visits. Please supervise your dog, clean up before leaving, and close all gates behind you.

Wheaton Wild
There are 15 acres of native prairie grasses and plants. There are a few trees and rolling hills. There is approximately 1.5 miles of mowed trails that loop and connect, creating several options for new routes for each visit. There is also an outhouse available if needed. However, it is within our normally private area, so dogs must be on leashes and there are hooks for leashes while in use.

Acker's 10 Acre Private Dog Park In Afton
We are about a quarter mile off the main road and our 10 acres go deeper into the woods. We have about 5 acres of wooded areas and 5 acres of open trails. It is a beautiful and private property. The property is 100% fenced- the fencing is 3 feet high- there is a gate in the driveway, once closed it is completely fenced in. We have water available for dogs- due to the cold weather, please message me if you want water available during your visit and I will put it out ahead of time if I am home.

10 Beautiful Acres with River 12 minutes from Hudson WI
12/31/25 update: I have tried to maintain a plowed trail, but the wind gusts are doing everything they can to stop me. The field has snow drifts over the trail. PARKING only at the barn/field entrance. You will not be able to drive into the field until after snow melt and once the ground firms up, likely in late April to mid May. We have a beautiful piece of land with a (mostly) fenced perimeter and 1/3 acre fully fenced doggy play area. If you drive in by the picnic table you are in the center of 18 acres to play on and will be quite a distance from the road. There are mowed walking paths to the beautiful Kinnickinnic river, far away from other people and animals. You and your dog will love it here! The river is cold and easy for dogs to hop in and out, (not easy for humans right now). If you want to keep them out of the water there is about 10 acres of open field where you park, separate and above the river so you don't need to have them down by the water at all. (although most dogs gravitate to there!)
