This spot is best for solo dogs, small packs, puppies, nervous dogs, city/suburban dogs who need a reset, and owners who want a calmer off-leash option. Book the space for fetch, training practice, decompression time, puppy confidence-building, or a quiet sniff session. The yard is private during your booking. Please leash dogs when entering and exiting, clean up after your visit, and leave the space as you found it. Water, seating, trash access, and basic dog-friendly setup are available where noted in the listing. Welcome! Tucked away in downtown Antioch is a hidden one-acre private dog park where dogs can run, sniff, zoom, dig, splash, and play to their heart's content. Reservation only - just you and your dog. 🐾 For the Dogs: I have a feeling you're going to love this backyard. It's a full acre of fenced-in freedom, hidden behind the houses like a secret playground. There's plenty of open space for epic zoomies, mature trees that are almost certainly hiding squirrels, and even a special corner where digging is enthusiastically encouraged. If you visit after a good rain, you might discover a muddy little spot that's perfect for rolling around and getting dirty (you're welcome.) No rain? No problem. Cool off in the doggy splash pad instead. Of course, you'll also find plenty of other toys waiting for you, like tennis balls, frisbees, and those squeaky toys you love to throw into the air (you know the ones). For the Humans: While your pup burns off some energy, you can enjoy a surprisingly peaceful and serene backyard, especially considering it's only a half block off Main Street in downtown Antioch. In the middle of the yard you'll find our old chicken house. It retired from raising chickens years ago and really just sits there looking cute. But it does have a little patio with chairs, a basket of dog toys, and a water spigot with fresh water for thirsty pups. 🌳 The Property: Our property is located just north of Sequoit Creek Park and the Antioch Public Library, only a half block off Main Street. The backyard is fully fenced and has convenient, direct access from the driveway. Guests have two dedicated parking spaces in the large circular driveway, set well away from the house. The yard is usually quiet and peaceful. Occasionally, the neighbors' two friendly dogs may be outside. Riverview yard in Albany Park

Large yard right on the river. No access to the river (yard is fully fenced), but human views of the water, ducks, other birds, and wildflowers on the bank. Pesticide and herbicide free lawn but various flowers, shrubs (and weeds) on the edges. Plenty of birds, bunnies, squirrels, etc. more than your average Chicago yard. End of dead end with pretty good privacy. Chain link fence on most and iron fence at front. Not ideal for small dogs or escape artists that can squeeze under or through fence. See photos for details of fence and if your dog would try to squeeze through. There are 3 big dogs at the house across the alley, but they are also well fenced. They are out on occasion, but usually not for long and I can’t guarantee their schedule. The view is mostly blocked by garbage cans and bushes, but not completely, so this may not be the place if your pup is super reactive. There are 2 Adirondack chairs, feel free to move them around into sun or shade or lay out a blanket or whatever you need to be comfortable. There is stainless steel water bowl and some toys. Feel free to use the hose by the stairs to fill up the water bowl, hose the dogs off or whatever. You can pull it out into the middle of the yard, just put your foot on top of the reel to get better leverage and please reel back in and turn off after use. NOTE: if you are fostering a dog for a local shelter, please send me a message for a discount code! I’d love to help a pup decompress (and get some great photos!) on the way to a forever home!

The Red Door Salt Creek Sanctuary - Fully Fenced 1/2 Acre

Fall/Winter update: the yard is DARK after 5pm. Hose is off for winterization, so please bring water. Our 1/2 acre fully fenced dog-friendly yard is here to host your special furry friends. We live a short, straight-shot drive from Chicago and are butt-up against the beautiful Salt Creek (and all the wild life that also calls the creek "home" - bunnies, squirrels, groundhogs, birds, garden snakes (harmless, but present in May), etc.). The head of Salt Creek Trail is located just a block away on Thomas Street, so feel free to explore the creek/trail after your yard time. It leads all the way to Villa Park, where you can catch the Prairie Path / Great Western Trail. You'll pass by MORE Brewing Company as well as outdoor bar and food trucks Fuel and Creme (ice cream). Make a day of it! Please note that even though the yard IS fully fenced, it is comprised of a variety of sizes shapes ranging from 6 feet privacy, raw iron, to 4 foot chain-link, barn wood with chicken wire between the wood gaps. You know your dog's "flight risk" better than anyone, so please make smart decisions when booking our yard. Dispose of poop bags in the BLUE TOP bin (green is recycle). Finally, note that we can only host 2 dogs at a time due to wear and tear on the yard. Have fun!
