55Lovely and local. Easy to find. Host goes steps above to make your time enjoyable for you and your pup. Plus, it was clean! For those of us with reactive dogs, it's hosts like this that takes so much stress off our plates.
The husband says coffee was a great touch. The gift for the dog was so sweet. Thank you. Courtney C.

55Midna and I LOVED this spot!! There was truly something for both of us to enjoy the entire time. Midna got to meet chickens for the first time! The grounds were nicely maintained and she couldn't wait to dig into her goodie bag on the ride home. We can't wait to visit again. ❤️🐶Cynthia L.

55Beautiful spot with lots of room for dog zoomies and play! One of my dogs is a rescue and has a slightly higher prey drive, so getting to have him sit and watch the chickens was really good training for him and also got to work on recall with him to stay away from the chicken area.
Will probably visit again! Heather T.

55Well maintained area with lots of different and interesting areas for the dogs. Thoughtfully arranged, with a training building, woods, grassy areas, several watering stations, a dog library (sticks and more sticks!), and you can get fresh eggs!Franclyn H.

55This place is awesome for pups and people! We recently met her with a family member, whose dog was more reactive than we thought. There was a bit of chaos for a couple minutes (thankfully no real harm.) The Host was great at helping us settle things down and get the pup on his way home. We went on to enjoy the rest of the visit in this well set up, fun space! Tracy J.

55Indigo Sky and Bailey had so much fun playing and exploring here! The dog den agility equipment was great for a little practice, and the zoomie pen was a nice space to romp around in and play ball. Toys were provided and appreciated! Nicole left a present for Indigo Sky and Bailey with treats and a little toy, they loved it and zoomed with it. Beyond that the field and woods were good spaces to explore and sniff around. The gnomes were cute too! Nicole also included a little coffee and tea bar and water for the people. A very thoughtful spot and we look forward to visiting again!Allie S.

55Toby and I really enjoyed our visit today. The signs around the property made it easy to navigate the different parts of the park. Toby loved exploring the backwoods. The indoor area was great! I really needed a pick me up and the coffee bar was just what I needed. The cute goodie bag was absolutely perfect. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed. Can’t wait to visit this spot again. 55We had a great time at Summit Ridge Canine Retreat! The host set out a cute goodie bag and the hot coffee latte was a nice touch for the cold morning. Literally thought of everything there from seating to water stations and poop bag stations. My dog enjoyed all of the sniffs and stick library! Very peaceful place and I sat on the swinging lounge drinking my hot coffee while my dog sniffed and explored. The Gnomes in the woods were cute too. My dog was very tired the whole afternoon which was my goal. We will definitely return Susie S.

55This was our first visit here. It was wonderful! We started out at the indoor bldg because it decided to rain, lots of fun things in there, made our way to the zoomie spot which is complete with toys and then ventured out back to the huge roaming and sniffing area! We will be back for sure! Hospitality for dogs and humans was great!Renee W.

55Indie and I absolutely loved coming here! Summit Ridge is incredibly thoughtful - with both pup and human in mind. They provided signs and a message before arrival containing every detail so you knew where to go. We were greeted by a lovely welcome bag full of goodies, fresh water, clean ammenities (and even refreshments for us humans!) The attention to detail throughout the property did not go unnoticed. Signs will lead you anywhere you need to go, and there are sevral shaded areas with seating, fresh water (and bowls) as well as activities. There were cots available for use, an agility course, and plenty of seating for humans. I also love that you can be both indoors or out. I cannot say enough great things about Summit Ridge. Very friendly and accomodating. We will certainly be back!Samantha Z.

55Easy to get to, parking was easy. We loved how there was an indoor play area that opened up to a play field. Beyond that play field is another much larger field and woods area for the doggies to roam and play. Everything was secure, just be sure to close/secure the front gate after you park!
The host has thought of pretty much everything. Hot water and coffee/hot cocoa were available, towels, toys, doggy bags, water stations, etc!
She even left a welcoming goody bag! We will definitely be back. Honestly, we’ve been looking for a big Sniffspot that did NOT have a creek/pond. Our dogs love water, but it’s annoying having to bathe them every time. I think we found a spot that fits the bill for those “dryer” play days :) Kimmie H.

Frequently asked questions about Lake Tapps indoor dog parks
What do private indoor dog parks in Lake Tapps offer that public parks don't?
Private indoor dog parks in Lake Tapps offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for climate-controlled exercise regardless of weather, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Lake Tapps can't guarantee any of this. With 9 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.
Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Lake Tapps?
Yes! Most of Lake Tapps's 9 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Lake Tapps listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.
When can puppies start visiting indoor dog parks in Lake Tapps?
Puppies can visit Lake Tapps indoor dog parks as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore climate-controlled exercise regardless of weather without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Lake Tapps trainers specifically use indoor dog parks for puppy development.
How do I find private indoor dog parks near me in Lake Tapps?
Browse Lake Tapps's 9 indoor dog parks on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Lake Tapps listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Huckleberry Acres Private Bark In Gig Harbor is particularly popular among Lake Tapps dog owners.
Can I rent indoor dog parks in Lake Tapps by the hour?
Yes! All 9 indoor dog parks in Lake Tapps are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Lake Tapps dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.
What's the difference between Sniffspot indoor dog parks and public dog parks in Lake Tapps?
The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Lake Tapps mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 9 Lake Tapps indoor dog parks give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys climate-controlled exercise regardless of weather and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.
Are there indoor indoor dog parks in Lake Tapps?
Yes! Lake Tapps has climate-controlled indoor indoor dog parks perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Lake Tapps locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Lake Tapps weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.
How do Lake Tapps indoor dog parks help with dog training?
Lake Tapps trainers love indoor dog parks because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice climate-controlled obedience work, rainy day training continuity, or winter recall practice, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for climate-controlled exercise regardless of weather.
