Some open field for playing chuck it or frisbee, and others with lots of trees and a bit of trails to explore. Partial fencing and hoping to put more up, but will need the funds and support to do this. Quiet area. We also hope to put more fun things for agility there for the doggies as well ❤️

60 acres of fields, trails, ponds and forests. Trails are more like hiking in the woods and not suited for bikes or any other equipment. Large pond where your dogs would love to swim for hours. Sorry for safety reasons the P Paddle boats are not for public use. Enjoy.

Please stay off of upper patio and trampoline and out of sheds, however, bring a basketball to shoot some hoops! There is street parking readily available on both sides of the street. Please don’t allow dogs to bark excessively but do make sure they have fun! Hose available for water, and kiddie pool if you like!

Come and explore a beautiful vista with your dogs! You’ll have a set of private trails to yourself, with two large open fields perfect for training or games of tag! Surrounded by a meadow and a mixed deciduous and evergreen forest, both you and your dog will feel completely at peace! Your dog can even go for a quick splash & drink in the stream or ponds! Only (2) adults are allowed with the dogs for a Sniffspot booking. Up to (2) children, under 18, may accompany them. ***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD*** Welcome to Goldenwood Acres! On our 26 acre hobby farm, we have a 6 acre fully fenced farm field/dog park. Ride up and park at the white barn, and walk your leashed puppers to the field past our chickens, gardens, woodlots, and ponds. From the barn to the dog park you will get familiar with our surroundings and other fences. There is access to the forest and two ponds on the property. Crossing through the tree line, you have private access to the 6-acre field. Four-foot tall fencing is installed for your security. Note in the Winter, we have removed the gate due to snow and maintenance. Gates will be installed during or right after the East Long Weekend. The best time to come is May to September. Come walk between the sunflower rows that grow up to 10 feet tall! We cut the field between the sunflowers, make trails and play spots. We also leave big areas untouched for our honeybees (hives located in the other field). Enjoy seeing natural landscapes, trees, and privacy. Have fun, play catch and let your animal have unleashed freedom! We have uploaded a printable "safety map" for each season, that contains a legend for your use. Note the fire pit is not available during the winter season (November to May). This season we will also be placing pinic tables with a BBQ for large groups. I recommend booking the summer weekends in advance as they will fill up fast! Fencing Details: The 6-acre Dog Park Field is permanently fenced with approximately 2,500 linear feet of 4’ tall farm fence. The farm fence consists of professionally installed 2” by 4” squares of wire mesh and 6” cedar posts (commonly used for smaller livestock such as sheep, donkey, cows, etc). There is on openings for the main gates that is currently open. The opening is 16’ wide. If you look at the photos you can see the locations of the gates on the main photo or on “safety map” (see photos and captions). We have more fencing on other parts of the property outside of our dog park in case your dog does not have good recall. Refer to the safety map (see photos). You can enjoy trails through the fields as well as the pine forest and heavier bush trails. Water is available at the barn area (by the firepits) Come enjoy the fresh air and quiet!

***Charges are in USD*** We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please check in at the front desk to get the key to the yard, and clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. If bringing back the key when we are not open, please put it in the Mailbox, located beside our Front Doors. When we are open, our receptionists will gladly take the key back from you! All the fees go directly to the animals in our case, and we are a registered charity and no-kill shelter. I have 2 large rescue dogs and know how important it can be to find a safe space for them to run and play in that's off leash. Lots of room for zoomies, toys and the agility structure is a hit with all the dogs. Reinforced lattice and bottoms of the fence so it's great for tiny dogs too! 100% private so there will be no other dogs in the backyard at the time of your visit so perfect for reactive dogs to safely enjoy some zoomies and off-leash play!
