15-Acre Vermont Forest Escape for Dogs + Pond

Enjoy a peaceful Vermont nature escape with your dog on our approximately 15-acre unfenced private forest property. The forest is natural and undeveloped, with no maintained trails or paths, making it perfect for dogs and owners who enjoy exploring the woods and a more rustic outdoor experience. Guests have access to a designated portion of our private pond, including a picnic table, an additional table with chairs, and a fire pit near the water. Firewood is available for purchase, and we can also provide a charcoal grill upon request. Please note that the entire pond is not part of the Sniffspot. The property owners and other guests may occasionally use a separate area of the pond/property outside of the designated Sniffspot area. The property is not fenced, so we recommend a long leash for dogs without reliable recall.

Mutt Season Sensory Garden

My sniffspot is not just a fenced-in piece of property but a curated area designed for canine sensory enrichment. Everything is allowed in this area, including digging and destroying things. I only ask that you clean up your dogs' poop.

There is a dog on site if you’re looking for doggy playtime and someone to run with- or you can venture alone with a small amount of notice. This site also hosts two pet-friendly forest Airbnb’s though it’s not usual to run into others.
