Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

Fully Fenced
0.63 acres

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). With that said, a 8 ft tide still gives you approximately 20 feet x 300 feet of beach to roam so you pup still has some room to explore and 9ft is approximately 10 feet x 30 feet. You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow

Frequently asked questions about North Marysville dog beaches

Where can I find dog beaches in North Marysville?

North Marysville has 7 private dog beaches available through Sniffspot, offering swimming and beach activities in completely private settings. These locations range from compact spaces to properties spanning 25+ acres. Whether you need a space for your reactive dog, puppy socialization, senior dog gentle exercise, or high-energy play, North Marysville dog beaches provide safe, private environments. Filter for "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, or fencing types to find your perfect match.

How many dog beaches are in North Marysville?

North Marysville offers 7 dog beaches ranging from compact spaces to properties spanning acres. You'll find diverse options: fully-fenced for escape artists, indoor climate-controlled for year-round use, swimming pools for hot days, agility courses for training, and more. Each North Marysville dog beach listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are North Marysville dog beaches good for all dog types?

Yes! North Marysville dog beaches work for every dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer without large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space, and reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the environment they need. Browse North Marysville's 7 options to find spaces matching your dog's specific temperament and needs.

Will I encounter other dogs at North Marysville dog beaches?

Not a chance. North Marysville dog beaches operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For North Marysville owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are North Marysville dog beaches safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Yes! North Marysville dog beaches provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a waterfront area where dogs can swim, play in sand, and enjoy beach activities off-leash without overwhelming encounters. Many North Marysville dog owners specifically choose dog beaches for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Can puppies use North Marysville dog beaches?

Absolutely! North Marysville dog beaches are excellent for puppy socialization because they're private and controlled. Puppies can explore a waterfront area where dogs can swim, play in sand, and enjoy beach activities off-leash, practice recall, and build confidence without the overwhelming chaos that can create fear or reactivity in young dogs. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best dog beach in North Marysville?

Start by filtering North Marysville's 7 dog beaches for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like North Marysville's Ashley's 25 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Duvall with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other North Marysville owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are North Marysville's dog beach requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each North Marysville host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog beaches welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
