The yard is about a quarter acre, conveniently located about a half mile from the 1-205. The property is fully fenced and has a privacy screen covering most of the fence for extra security. It’s a good space for fetch, frisbee, or just enjoying being outside and sniffing. The yard is mostly grass with a few larger patches of dirt. I don’t mind some digging in the dirt areas, as we have some diggers in our pack as well. We have a couple seating areas to enjoy and sit with your group on the outdoor couches, or chairs by the water jug to keep an eye on your pup(s). We also have a cutie tree house where they can go and watch the birds or just enjoy a different view while being there. When arriving to the property, feel free to park on the left side of the house in front of the fence. When entering the first gate, you might hear my dobie Bruce bark (I take it as an excited hello lol) as you make your way to the second gate that opens to the yard. Once inside the yard, you’ll never see other dogs or people, but we have lots of neighbor dogs that bark to each other in the area - just a head’s up in case your dog(s) are easily triggered by that. Seating and dog water available on the trail. Wildlife walk the trails too. Use caution We have sheep, turkeys and chickens on the farm. Stay clear of pasture fencing. Seasonal pond in the upper meadow. ALL 32 acres are fenced with triple barbed wire. Sorry! No water, chairs or poop bag trash cans on site. This is not a place that gets policed by anyone but you! Please help keep this site as pristine as you find it. If you pack it in please pack it out. Please park on the gravel rather than in the grass. The I-5 of the Pacific Northern railways runs right by my property. The trains are frequent and loud. Be aware if you have sound reactive dogs (or humans). Welcome to Sauvie Island Farm- visit our indigo and flower fields, watch the vegetable crops through planting , cultivation and harvest, see the seasonal wetlands, a resting area for thousands of years on the Pacific Flyway for migratory birds- egrets, geese, ducks- and look at Charlton Ridge White Oaks, home and playground to eagles. Our livestock and hayfields make great off leash visits when not in crop or grazing rotation. Enjoy the sunsets, or sunrise views of Mt. Hood and St Helens if you are early or late.

15 Acres Mostly Fenced Open Field In La Center

This 15+ acres of hay field is mostly fenced, with an opening at the top. If you choose, there is a path along the outside that leads to a creek(unfenced) to the right at the field. There are dogs at the front of the property, which are fenced in. There is possibility of hearing barking from them or neighbors. I teach dog training at the red barn, you may come to parking lot of cars. Dogs will always be leashed and under control and typically away from the parking lot. The students are instructed to leave you alone. Off road parking, I will give clear directions before arrival. Come roam around a huge open space! Bring a ball or just have a sniff party! *Electric Fence surrounds the horse pasture - which you must pass to get to the sniff spot* Please keep to the designated sniff spot area, the top field and barn area is NOT open to the public. Any equipment in the area, including dog agility equipment, is NOT for public use. Please take your waste with you or dispose of it properly!
