Why?? first we love dogs but can no longer have one and we have a humongous problem with wild turkeys on our property. Other than shooting them the only other remedy is scaring them and a dog will do that. right now we have 32 grazing on our front lawn. No you cant shoot them its out of season and many of them have trackers on them. Obviously your dog would have to be obedient or it would be in the next township still chasing, so it has to return on call. To the "they were there first" crowd come on over and walk though wall to wall turkey poop and we can talk. If your interested in using our fields for a dog run and at the same time helping us scare the turkeys message us. We have three areas for you to enjoy, all are fully fenced and are included in the rental price. We have a fully fenced acre of woods with a trail that goes through to explore. It is accessed through the gate in the backyard. We also have a front yard and deep backyard, great for running, fetch and recall training. The yard is 1.5 acres and also fully fenced. During the summer you have access to two seating areas including a picnic table, gazebo for shade (seasonally) a 30 foot tether is also available if you would like to have your dog stay beside you while you relax. During the winter, paths are plowed in both yards and in the woods within 3-5 hours of a significant snowfall. Hard packed snow and mild weather can create icy sections on the property, we put down sand and pet safe ice melt on the trails to help. Feel free to contact us for trail conditions before booking.
